The Hole-Digging Video
This page uses “The Hole” as shorthand for a June 2020 HIMR source trail. The primary archive contains a record labelled Digging a hole — part 1 and maps it to an Internet Archive MP4. That establishes a creator-titled digging video, not every detail later attached to the episode.
What the surviving source directly supports
Section titled “What the surviving source directly supports”Nine frames were checked directly against the mapped raw MP4 at 00:01, 01:00, 05:00, 10:00, 20:00, 40:00, 60:00, 75:00, and 80:20. The opening sample shows a shovel at a disturbed patch in a grassy outdoor setting. Subsequent samples show Daniel digging, a growing mound of displaced soil, and Daniel lower relative to ground level in some later samples. A brief human comparison with his other checked public-video appearances supplies the identity label; it is not a legal-identity or location finding.
Two reader-inspectable Internet Archive derivatives—the earlier still and later still—show the same general setting. The source title supplies the digging context. Neither the sampled raw frames nor the derived stills establish an exact date, location, depth, purpose, or number of days spent digging.
Two raw-backed June follow-ups
Section titled “Two raw-backed June follow-ups”Two later June files contain follow-up footage even though their titles do not name the hole. How Heartbreak triggered my Spiritual Awakening is a mixed-topic video: the bounded machine passes place its hole material at approximately 00:06:55– 00:11:10. REALLY GREAT NEWS GUYS :D opens inside the excavation and returns to the project during approximately 00:00–00:04:45.
Two separate transcription passes materially agree on a limited, benign creator account:
- In the June 20 file, Daniel says two frogs were in the hole and describes trying to remove them. He later calls the footage another update, says it is a few days later, demonstrates a step cut into the side, and says he wants to widen and deepen it.
- In the June 30 file, he says he has added steps and a seat. He estimates the hole as almost as deep as he is tall and gives a roughly 1.74-metre figure with an explicit uncertainty qualifier in both machine renderings. That is his estimate, not a checked measurement and not evidence for the community’s exact “six-foot” wording.
- He says he wants to continue after travel and describes an unrealized plan to widen it into a room-like space with a seat and small wall recesses or hooks. The source does not establish that those additions were completed.
Three additional frames were checked directly: June 20 at 00:09:30, and June 30 at 00:00:32 and 00:03:20. They show a large opening with displaced earth and tools, Daniel crouched or seated within cut earth walls, and a low-angle view from inside the excavation toward its opening. They support visible continuation of the digging project, but not location, exact size, motive, or time spent.

A significant duration mismatch
Section titled “A significant duration mismatch”The transcript snapshot displays 00:19:11 for this record, while Internet Archive’s metadata reports 5,071.66 seconds—approximately 01:24:31.66—for the mapped MP4. The wiki therefore does not assume that the transcript covers the whole raw file or use its generated summary as a complete account.
What remains open
Section titled “What remains open”A complete review of the 01:24:31 mapped file is needed before the wiki can describe the continuous progression. Direct listening is still needed before the June 20 and June 30 machine-rendered account can be promoted beyond a warned research lead. No checked source supplies an instrument measurement, a complete project chronology, a verified emotional cause, or evidence that the proposed room-like additions were completed.
