Tomoko — 2017 Source Trail

Source matchedReviewed 29 August 2026. The duplicate first-meeting records and later raw mappings are reconciled. Two ASR passes supply an unverified Tomoko name bridge, a Patreon body separates a concealed Kyoto-Girl-labelled meeting from Tomoko, sampled frames were checked in a separately archived response candidate, and a public Tomo L channel was recorded without authenticating its holder.

Tomoko is the community navigation label for the woman in Daniel’s October 2017 online-girlfriend sequence. Unlike many lore names, this one has a narrow bridge to a public HIMR raw file: two independent transcription passes both render Daniel using Tomoko immediately before saying he is going to meet her for the first time.

Nobody directly heard that audio during this review. The name is therefore a strong, benign machine-audio lead—not verified speech, a legal name, or permission to build a private biography. Direct listening remains open in the maintainers’ Tomoko audio-review queue.

The public archive preserves a cautious four-step title sequence:

Archive-label date Raw creator title Safe evidentiary use
5 October My girlfriend doesn’t want to meet me yet A pre-meeting relationship title exists; the person is unnamed in the title.
7 October Meeting my online girlfriend for the first time in JAPAN A first-meeting title exists; meeting and relationship status remain creator framing.
8 October She lied to me this whole time… Daniel published an accusation-labelled follow-up. The title does not name Tomoko or verify a lie.
13 October why am I getting so much HATE! A backlash-labelled aftermath upload exists; its title does not establish why criticism occurred.

The archive also has a second October 7 row titled She wasnt what i expected. Both October 7 records use platform-ID candidate 3HM01kR2qmE and have identical MD5 and SHA-1 hashes. They are two catalogue labels for one 881.38-second raw media identity—not two meetings or independent corroboration.

At raw-media approximately 01:24–02:00, both ASR models materially render Daniel using the name Tomoko and describing the day as their first meeting. This supports using Tomoko to navigate the source family, with the machine-only warning preserved.

Patreon separates a Kyoto-labelled meeting

Section titled “Patreon separates a Kyoto-labelled meeting”

Access-controlled Patreon post Me and the Kyoto girl, published February 15, 2018, says Daniel had concealed a separate, date-like September outing from Tomoko and had no further contact with that person. This is Daniel’s retrospective account, not proof of either meeting. Its useful function is negative: the post itself treats Tomoko and the Kyoto Girl as different roles, so the wiki does too. The minimized outing belongs on Short-Term Encounters.

Later allegation-labelled titles remain Daniel’s framing

Two later raw-backed titles cover similar Japanese online-dating themes:

Neither title names Tomoko, and no checked evidence joins either later source to Tomoko or joins the two later sources to one another. The archive’s generated text proposes continuity, but no human listener checked either video’s audio. “Catfished” and “worst” therefore remain Daniel’s allegations and evaluations, not this wiki’s findings.

Internet Archive separately preserves a 450.79-second video titled Finally I Met Daniel 💔. Its item metadata displays Tomo L as creator and 2017 as its date. Those are archive metadata fields, not identity authentication.

Sampled raw frames visibly show a two-person selfie including Daniel around 00:30, Daniel alone around 01:37, and an adult woman looking directly into the camera in a composed sequence from about 01:43. This establishes a separately preserved, first-person-looking response candidate showing Daniel and an adult woman. The archive’s Tomo L creator field is compatible with the claim that the woman published the video herself, but metadata does not authenticate the original uploader or prove that the woman is Tomoko. No facial comparison is used to corroborate Daniel’s allegations.

It establishes only Daniel's visible presence in the response candidate and no uploader identity, participant identity, relationship, or allegation.

Woman shown addressing the camera in the response candidate; the allegation that she is Tomoko remains unverifiedSource: Finally I Met Daniel — separately archived video · 00:01:50; complete 640x360 frame encoded as WebP without cropping or generative alterationArchived public-video frame reproduced for source identification, historical context, and commentary. The direct-to-camera presentation establishes that the woman is knowingly participating in the recording; it does not authenticate her as Tomoko, establish original upload control, or support private biographical or relationship claims.

The supplied @tomol6417 YouTube address was checked on 27 August 2026. It resolved to channel ID UCmLFDbW1DPXkdIRpVfC8Asw, branded Tomo L, with 42 videos enumerable in a credential-free flat-list capture. The shared display name makes the channel relevant to the source trail, but it does not authenticate the channel holder as Tomoko, prove that she is the woman in the response candidate, or establish common upload control with the Internet Archive item.

A similarly worded live-channel upload must not be conflated with the response candidate. 2018…Finally, I met him is a public 836-second 2018 upload whose description names another creator. The separately archived Finally I Met Daniel candidate is 450.79 seconds and carries a year-only 2017 archive label. No exact video match between the channel and that archived candidate has been established.

One complete machine pass was generated over that response candidate for research navigation. Because no independent second pass or direct listening was completed, none of its relationship or intimate narrative is quoted or paraphrased here.

  • Tomoko is a strong machine-audio source label, not an authenticated identity.
  • The first-meeting video exists as one raw media identity under two catalogue titles.
  • The separately preserved response candidate is not authenticated as Tomoko or as a response from the unidentified alleged subject; its audio account remains unpublished pending direct listening and sensitivity review.
  • The live Tomo L channel is a relevant supplied lead, but neither its holder nor its relationship to the archived response candidate is authenticated.
  • The community timeline’s age, marriage, sexual-history, and “catfish” conclusions are not promoted beyond Daniel’s explicitly labelled allegation title.
