Drawing & Painting Videos
Digital-art process videos recur in the archive: two short drawing timelapses labelled 2016 and a longer portrait tutorial labelled 2023. The examples below show different stages of the artwork, rather than relying on their titles alone. They do not establish a continuous series, artistic training, sales or the identity of a depicted person.
October 2016: the night-shift illustration
Section titled “October 2016: the night-shift illustration”In drawing timelapse on ipad pro, the 00:00:10 frame contains a rough figure behind a counter; 00:00:42 and 00:01:21 show a more developed dark-haired character beside a till. At 00:01:55, the coloured scene includes the words “Another boring night shift…”. This gives the public video a visible connection to the comic label already discussed in the Patreon publication history, without treating a fictional scene as proof of a real workplace incident.
December 2016: social-event imagery
Section titled “December 2016: social-event imagery”How I feel when going to social events presents another drawing process. At 00:00:07, there is a simple seated figure on white; 00:00:31 places the figure under a hanging light. The later 00:01:00 and 00:01:25 frames show a dark-haired figure with knees drawn up, a phone on the floor and small conversing figures in the background. The personal interpretation belongs to the title: the drawing is not a record of a particular gathering or evidence of a diagnosis.
June 2023: a portrait tutorial
Section titled “June 2023: a portrait tutorial”The later How to Paint a Face with Acrylic Brushes shows a different kind of art-process presentation. At 00:00:39, the image is a partially painted face against white. At 00:02:42, it has reddish-brown hair; at 00:05:14, a turquoise background and additional colour are visible. The 00:07:22 frame adds tutorial-title text to the portrait. These selected stages support a portrait-making format, not an identification of the subject, the source of any reference image or a judgment about the artist’s skill.
