The Kent & Maidstone Era

Source matchedReviewed 1 September 2026. Archive identities, a cross-era unboxing-title audit, uniformly sampled illustrated videos, and one room-video segment are checked. Four 2022 Patreon game-project pages were also reconciled. Filename dates, creator self-reports, version labels, title classifications, sampled-frame findings, and geographic-era boundaries remain qualified.

This page covers the earliest located HIMR media labeled 2015. “Kent & Maidstone Era” is a convenient navigation label, not a claim that every item was recorded in Maidstone or that a precise residence timeline has already been established.

The 2015 source reconciliation identifies 32 canonical media identities. Twenty-six are linked from transcript records; six are present in the raw-media metadata without a corresponding transcript record.

The earliest three located filename dates precede the transcript archive’s October starting point:

Filename date Archive label Transcript coverage
2015-07-06 Lonely guy animation Raw media only
2015-08-06 How to draw backgrounds for manga, comics Raw media only
2015-09-13 Cat purring sound effect ASMR Raw media only

The earliest located raw-only item, Lonely guy animation, is not merely animation-labelled. Twelve evenly spaced frames across its 73-second timeline show a coloured hand-drawn sequence in the sample, ending with a visible “TO BE CONTINUED” card. The same sampling method finds later illustrated or animatic-style presentations, showing that this was a recurring visual format rather than an isolated 2015 title:

Filename date Archived record Result of the uniform visual sample
2015-07-06 Lonely guy animation Coloured hand-drawn sequence in the sampled frames
2019-01-23 A Tribute to my Dad Pencil-drawn illustrated or storyboard-like presentation in the sampled frames
2022-07-22 Why My Life has made No Progress in 20 years Illustrated-character presentation in the sampled frames
2022-07-25 Why Women Hate Me Illustrated-character presentation in the sampled frames

This is a visual-format finding only. Twelve frames cannot establish every shot, who made the drawings, what the narration says, or whether any story is autobiographical.

The October archive labels include a Wing Yip supermarket vlog, a Heathrow pod ride, a Stavanger walking video, and a bus journey toward Bergen. Those labels show that travel and ordinary outings were part of the preserved record alongside room-based videos.

Two 2015 titles establish an early unboxing strand: Macbook air 2015 version unboxing and initial set up process with daniel! and UNBOXING ASUS windows laptop transformer flipbook!.

A case-insensitive audit of the 2,227-record normalized archive snapshot found 18 distinct video identities with unbox in a creator title from October 2015 through October 2022. Seventeen titles frame a physical product, present, or gift; the lone metaphorical title is Unboxing my NEW $1600 Girlfriend. The sequence later includes cameras and lenses, computers and phones, presents, a Steam Deck, and the 2022 Switch OLED Unboxing. Those labels establish a recurring packaging-and-first-look format, not purchase, ownership, price, sponsorship, or the contents of any particular box.

Xcode- and game-development-labelled records

Section titled “Xcode- and game-development-labelled records”

The game-development videos article adds sampled raw-screen observations for the Space Invaders-style project and two platformer lessons, separate from the title-level chronology below.

At least thirteen located media identities from October through December are labeled as Xcode tutorials, iOS projects, or game-development updates. The sequence includes a Flappy Bird-style exercise, a Space Invaders-style project, zombie-game revisions, button and sound tutorials, and platformer work. This is a prominent repeated topic in the located 2015 titles.

Representative primary records include:

A brief later coda connects those 2015 game-development labels to a public Patreon project; it does not extend the geographic era itself into 2022. On January 2, 2022, Daniel wrote that he had returned to game development, moved from trying to relearn Xcode to using GameMaker Studio 2 and a tutorial-derived foundation, and planned a game in which the player would control him through levels, references, and characters recognizable from his channel. These are Daniel’s descriptions of his process and plan, not independent verification of when development began or how much original work had been completed.

Patreon then published three version-labelled posts: HIMR The Game: Version 1.0 (Windows version) on January 3, HIMR the game Version 1.1 on January 10, and Version 1.6 BIG UPDATES on January 24. The titles document a claimed version sequence; they do not establish features, stability, safety, or playability.

What Daniel’s locked patch notes describe

Section titled “What Daniel’s locked patch notes describe”

The retained bodies add a version-by-version feature map. These are Daniel’s patch notes, not findings from executing or testing the builds:

  • Version 1.0: keyboard and mouse controls for opening the computer/mail screen, shooting, limited slow motion, grenades, purchasing a grenade, and jumping. Daniel also described a small in-game payment for defeating an enemy.
  • Version 1.1: an eight-heart health display, a companion character who could heal and follow the player, randomized enemy size and speed, doors, spikes, slow-motion pickups, two weapon types, and several acknowledged collision/spawn bugs. His future plan mentioned spending in-game money through the computer, eventually buying a ticket to a Japan level, adding a petrol-station night-shift minigame, and collecting tapes tied to older channel material.
  • Version 1.6: save/load keys; quests, quest givers, and dialogue; a computer menu for ammunition, a planned Japan ticket, simulated YouTube uploads, randomly moving “stocks,” and email rewards; sleeping to restore health; a petrol-station scanning minigame; a companion and “Baby Daniels”; a death/respawn money penalty; limited ammunition; and a reset key. Daniel listed more quests, money systems, dream levels, and house upgrades as future work. He also attributed slower progress to moving to Scotland, which remains a creator-written travel/move claim rather than a residence record.

A contributor identifies the screenshot below as the Version 1.6 build from the January 24 Patreon post. It shows a locally opened window titled HIMR The Adventures of Daniel. The frame visibly contains a stylized house and player character, a hearts-and-ammunition HUD, a money counter, and an in-game letter about unemployment benefits and a jobseeker meeting. Those are game-interface and narrative elements. They are not evidence that the depicted amounts, benefits, employment status, adviser, or meeting describe Daniel’s real life.

Six adjacent August 29 messages add a much later creator-side callback. Daniel’s self-identifying Discord account said the project was on Patreon, recalled putting substantial effort into it, believed it should still work, said he no longer remembered how to code, and contrasted the older work with what generative AI might make easier now. These are present-day recollections and opinions, not technical evidence about the retained build.

The account casually labelled the work “2021 pre AI times.” The reconciled public Patreon records above were actually published from January 2 to January 24, 2022. The wiki therefore preserves the Discord wording as an imprecise retrospective rather than moving the dated release sequence into 2021. The AI remark also does not show that Daniel used AI on the original project or created a later AI-assisted version.

Three corresponding Windows executables survive in the maintainers’ private research storage. The maintainers did not execute or security-review them in this pass. The contributor’s Version 1.6 identification was not independently bound to a retained executable through a running-process/file hash capture, and the screenshot does not establish whether the build is complete or works beyond the displayed frame; the executables remain undistributed.

The old NotebookLM dossier adds biographical interpretation about residence, employment, benefits, family life, and motives. Those claims are not repeated here because the current review has established the media inventory and selected visible content—not the complete off-camera history. They can be added later only with attributed, claim-level evidence.
