10 Tips and Tricks for the Galaxy Z Fold 6!

all at the same time.

That's actually insane.

Hello, welcome back to a new video.

So today I'll be showing you some tips and

tricks for your brand new Samsung Galaxy

Fold 6.

Okay, so first of all, let's talk about

the navigation bar.

So by default, it'll be set onto buttons,

and what that means is you have these

little buttons at the bottom right.

You've got the circle home button, the

back button, and the multitasking button.

Now that's like the traditional Android

way to do things, but as someone who used

to use an iPhone, I really miss the swipe

up gestures and the swipe left and right

to switch between apps, and I kind of miss

that.

So Thankfully, on Samsung, you can have

swipe gestures.

You go into Display and you go into

Navigation Bar and you can find swipe

gestures here.

And it basically works the same as iOS.

So you've got this little bar at the

bottom and swiping up from the bottom

takes you home.

Swiping left and right switches between

apps.

So as you can see, I can swipe between

apps just like using an iPhone, swipe left

and right.

And if you hold it down and swipe up like

this, you can then, um, you can then get

the multitasking panel up and you can see

all the apps that are open or close them

all.

Swipe up to close it.

Now you might be wondering, how do you go

back?

Because the useful thing with the button

menu is that you've got that back button,

the left-pointing triangle.

We've lost that, so how do we go back?

It's very easy.

Basically, you just swipe from the left

side like this, or you swipe from the

right side like that, and that will be

your back button.

And the good thing about this is you can

swipe right from any part of the screen.

So it could be down there where your thumb

is, or up here, higher up.

If you go into an app, if you go higher up

like that, you can do back.

And it's very easy to swipe around.

Like, you go into the app, swipe up to

minimize it.

It's really useful to use the gestures

instead of the buttons.

I find it much, much nicer user

experience.

Okay, next tip.

So you see we've got this side panel thing

here with apps.

It's like a little pop-up taskbar.

Well, we don't really need that anymore

because in the Galaxy Fold 6 it already

has a taskbar at the bottom, kind of like

an iPad dock or taskbar.

It's already at the bottom, so we don't

really need the edge panel anymore.

It just kind of gets in the way,

accidentally press it, and it does the

same thing as the taskbar.

So I like to get rid of it by pressing

Edge Panels, get rid of that.

That's on the Display menu, so you go

Display and,

um, hold on, and you go down and it's on

Navigation Bar.

Well, it's above the Navigation Bar.

Oh yeah, going back to the Navigation Bar,

if you long press it down like this, it

will bring up the circle to search thing,

so you can like enter Google Search or

also draw on the screen to Google Search.

Images of what you just searched— I mean,

selected with your finger.

So now it's going to bring up Google

searches of the Facebook Messenger app.

So that's pretty useful as well.

So again, it's long press,

long press on the bar

like that.

Very easy to use.

Also, if you swipe up from the corner like

this, you'll bring up the Gemini AI

assistant thing, which is pretty useful as

well.

Okay, so the taskbar is really cool.

It's this row of apps, and you can create

your own taskbar by basically just— you

hold down an app and then you drag it down

onto the taskbar.

Mine's full up.

You can only have a maximum of 8 apps on

your taskbar, and I've chosen Google,

Webull, internet, Discord, Twitter,

YouTube, camera.

And every time I open an app, for example,

open YouTube, it's going to show at the

bottom.

You can see, and then I can switch between

my recently used apps, which appears on

the right-hand side like that.

And you can select it so it shows up to 4

apps, and you can also turn it off if you

wanted to.

And you've also got show and hide with

touch and hold.

So basically what that means is if you

hold down in the corner, it will disappear

like that, and then if you hold it again,

it will reappear.

So very basic, very useful as well.

Okay, next let's talk about wallpapers.

So if you hold down on the screen, it will

open up this screen where you can choose

widgets, themes, wallpapers.

So press wallpaper, and then you can go to

change wallpapers

And then if you go down to Create with AI,

you can create an AI-generated wallpaper

based off some settings.

So if you go to like, uh, nighttime, you

can then choose the color.

So you can have like a teal,

and then you can choose what kind of

objects.

So like a mountain or a cliff, foggy

swamp, with

waves, and then you press generate, and

that's now going to generate you a

wallpaper based off of the inputs you just

inputted.

So you got these, looks pretty nice.

And then you can go back and choose maybe

a different template like that.

You can choose flowers,

chiffon.

So if you want some nice generated

AI-generated wallpapers, that's how you

would do it.

They look quite nice, I think.

Okay, next I want to show you how to use

AI to sketch on an object onto your photo.

So for example, you take a photo and then

you press the little flashy star things,

which means AI, and then just sketch on

something basic like a basic shape of a

hat.

It will then generate for you some hats,

and it looks, looks pretty good.

It looks pretty realistic.

So you've got a beanie, Got like a fedora,

got like another fedora.

So you can draw things onto your images

and it will superimpose it using AI.

So again, you do that by going onto your

gallery and then you press this middle

button with the stars,

and then you press Sketch to Image, and

then you can draw something on it like, I

don't know, like a flower coming out of my

head.

Draw like a big flower

and then generate it.

I haven't really found a useful use for

this technology yet, but if you want to

put a flower in your hair, you can put a

little flower.

Looks pretty funny.

Also, if you go back to the wallpaper

settings, you can choose a color palette

And I've chosen like a green-black color

palette, kind of like the Xbox system

where it was black and green.

So I like black and green because it just

looks kind of sci-fi and neon.

So you go into Settings, and things like

the Settings, all the text menu is going

to be green on a background of black.

So you can choose whatever you want.

Maybe you like yellow and black or

something else.

Okay, so here's some really cool tips for

multitasking, multi-windows.

Go into Advanced Features and then go down

to Multi-Window.

And then enable Swipe Up for Split Screen

and Swipe— no, Swipe for Split Screen and

Swipe for Pop-up View.

And also this one as well is also pretty

good.

So what it means is, um, for example,

you've got an app open, now you want to do

split screen.

What you do is you drag 2 fingers from the

side, and now it will give you some apps

to choose from to do split screen.

So if you go back to the— go back to the

camera We can now do split screen like

this just by swiping it from the side.

Also, swipe from

this side will let you choose a different

app for this side of the screen.

So we can do YouTube,

and now we've got split screen open.

So that's a quick way of doing split

screens.

And then if you press the dots,

we can now

switch it from vertical to horizontal,

horizontal aspect ratio.

And also, if you drag from the taskbar,

for example Settings, we can now drop the

Settings onto either this part, or we can

split it again to have 3 apps open at the

same time.

So now we've got YouTube open, we've got

the images there, and we've got Menu,

System Settings here open here.

So we've got 3 things open at the same

time again, if you drag it from the

taskbar—

but wait,

um, if you drag from the taskbar like this

into the middle, you now get a floating

pop-up where you can now drag it around

and resize it like that.

So that's pretty cool.

Also, if you go to a full-size app like

this and then you drag it down from the

top corner

No, drag it down from the top corner like

this.

You can now get this gray box which allows

you to minimize it into a floating window.

So it's pretty useful.

It's kind of like a computer where you

drag it down and you can resize it from a

full screen into a mini screen.

So you can make it big again like that and

then drag down from the top corner and you

can choose the size.

Like this,

and then you can drag it into a minimized

floating window like that.

It's pretty cool.

And then bring it up to the top.

It's not like Windows where you, you drag

it to the top of the screen and then it

maximizes, or you drag it to the side of

the screen, it would kind of disappear to

the side.

Sometimes I feel like I'm using a Windows

device and I feel like I should be able to

snap it to the side to make it split

screen.

But it doesn't work like that.

No.

Oh, and if you'd available— I mean, enable

developer options, you get some cool

options like GPU Watch.

It shows you the FPS and CPU GPU load when

you're doing stuff like gaming.

And also you have like an FPS indicator

here.

Where is it?

I mean, not FPS, frame rate.

Um,

I can't find it.

So it's here, you press Show Refresh Rate

and they'll show this number at the top

left to show you your refresh rate.

So I've got— usually it's like 120, but

sometimes it says 24, that's because it's

not moving.

But when it's moving, it'll be 120 refresh

rate, 120Hz.

So for the GPU thing, where is it?

It should be under gaming.

Oh my God, so many fucking options.

Okay, so it's here under games, GPU watch.

We can now enable FPS overlays.

Wait, why can't I press it?

Oh, you got to enable it first and then

you press FPS and you get this little

display And it shows you your current FPS

on this little bar thing, and you can also

put

GPU load, CPU load,

and now it will show you the CPU, GPU

load, and the frame rates, but it's a bit

messy like that.

So for example, if you put a game on,

like, um, downloaded this game recently,

Wuthering Waves.

Oh my God, screen covered in smudges

already.

So look, oh, now it's covered in dust.

So look, now we've got the refresh rate of

the screen and we've also got the FPS

Yeah, you can also add the CPU load, GPU

load onto the game as well.

So you can see that should be— yeah, here.

So you can have them in 2 separate

displays.

So if you really want to track your stats

whilst gaming— this game looks pretty

good.

So you can see the frame rate, we've got

30 FPS, which kind of sucks.

And look at the GPU CPU load.

And then you can fight these things.

These anime games are looking really good

these days, but they all play and feel and

look the same, like Genshin Impact style

games.

I guess it's pretty good for a mobile game

though.

So you got all those stats.

Appearing there, so that's pretty cool.

So to enable developer mode, you need to

enter build number into the search bar.

I don't know if it's safe if I show you my

build number, but when you press it, it

will say build number and a bunch of

numbers, and you tap the build number menu

name 7 times, and then it will enable

developer mode for you.

Now there are some complex menus and

options in developer mode, so you don't

want to fiddle with things that you don't

really understand, otherwise you might

break your phone.

Oh, and one last tip before I go.

You can actually do multi-screen stuff,

split-screen stuff whilst gaming.

So I've got the game open at the bottom

and I've got YouTube playing at the top.

So that's pretty cool, look at that.

And you can resize it, so I can make this

screen bigger.

I can pause it,

scroll my videos, look at YouTube.

So if you wanted to game and play YouTube

at the same time,

You can do that, and that's pretty cool.

So yeah, I mean, you can even do this.

Look, if you rotate it from— this is

vertical mode— and then rotate it to

horizontal mode, and then flip the phone,

bend it in the middle, you can have like a

Nintendo DS style experience where you've

got like a laptop like this.

It starts getting kind of silly, but it's

kind of cool.

So you can like watch YouTube like that

and play the game at the same time.

So you might be doing something boring

like grinding to do stuff on the game,

which doesn't really take much

concentration, and just have YouTube

playing at the top.

Or

for example, you're stuck on the game—

this is actually quite a good idea— so

like you're stuck on the game, you want to

watch a tutorial, just bring up a tutorial

on YouTube and then watch the tutorial

whilst you follow the tutorial along.

You're playing the game to do what the

tutorial is telling you to do, so that's

pretty cool as well.

And then if you go back to full screen,

and then if you do the drag down from the

corner thing— watch—

like that, we can now minimize the game

and have it as a hovering window.

And yeah, it still works.

Look, we can still play the game.

It's just in a smaller window now.

Jesus, this phone is so cool.

It's basically like a laptop.

It's like Windows.

Samsung operating system has gone so good.

So I don't know why you would want to do

that because now you've got a tiny box.

Uh, maybe you can have 2 games open at the

same time.

So I'm opening Genshin Impact now, and

look, I can actually have 2 games open at

the same time now.

I've got Wuthering Waves there,

I've got Wuthering Waves here, and I've

got Genshin Impact open here.

So if you want to play 2 games at the same

time, you can actually do that.

I don't know why you'd want to do that,

but you can do it.

I don't know how much stress that's

putting on the phone.

It's like it's gonna melt if it gets so

hot from trying to run 2 games at the same

time.

Look at this, this is so funny.

I don't know if the game's lagging because

of this.

I think it's lagging because I'm

downloading Genshin Impact right now, and

I think this game runs off of the

internet.

That's why it's lagging, not because I've

got 3 apps open and I'm recording a video.

The multitasking on this thing's insane.
