DO NOT BUY The Legend of Zelda： Tears of the Kingdom on Switch 2 gameplay

Hello, welcome back to a new video.

So I recently just got my hands on my

brand new Switch 2, which is a very nice

looking device, and I realized I've got

Tears of the Kingdom from when I used to

play it on the Switch OLED.

So we're going to be doing a gameplay test

of Tears of the Kingdom, see what the

performance and the gameplay is like and

if it's any good or worth getting on the

Switch 2.

Now one of the annoying things is I've

heard that there is performance that that

there are performance upgrades to Tears of

the Kingdom with the frame rates.

The problem is, even if you've bought the

original game— look here, look, see, look—

I've already bought Legend of Zelda: Tears

of the Kingdom, and— but that's the

original version.

So if you want it on Switch 2,

um, that is the Switch version, Switch 2

version, and you've got to pay another

£66.99 for it.

I don't know what the difference is

between this Switch 2 version and the

Switch 1 version.

So I bought this for £60 already, I don't

want to pay another £66 for the Switch 2

version.

And you also got the £7.99 upgrade pack,

and I don't know if this upgrade pack

works with the original Tears of the

Kingdom for the Switch 1.

So I mean, it's a little bit confusing.

I don't know if I should buy this if I've

already got Tears of the Kingdom from the

original Switch.

Um, it doesn't really say, does it?

Oh wait, I do have it.

It says, uh, included in this product,

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

purchased.

So all I would have to do is purchase the

extra £7.99 upgrade pack, and then with

that you get I don't know if I get it for

free if I'm a member.

Um, so basically what you get with this is

improved frame rates, HDR support,

expansive world has never looked better,

higher resolution.

So you gotta pay £8 to get that, which I

don't really want to do because Anyway,

we're going to see what it's like on

Switch 2 without the upgrade packs,

because I'm not going to spend £7.99 for

upgrade packs because that's silly.

So we've got the cutscene

that you can't skip.

Oh wait, you can.

I just want to get straight to the

gameplay.

Turn the sound up a bit.

So this is what Legend of Zelda: Tears of

the Kingdom looks like on Switch 2.

Oh, well, actually, actually feels pretty

good.

Uh, I'm not gonna lie.

I mean, it feels good.

I don't think I've got the 60 FPS because

I haven't bought it, but it feels fine

like this.

I don't see why you'd want it to be any

better.

I mean, it does feel pretty good.

It looks good too as well.

I mean, how do we see how much difference

getting this upgrade pack is really going

to improve the gameplay or the game by?

It's quite an old-looking game now, isn't

it?

The textures and stuff.

It came out When did it come out?

Yeah, I bought— when did I buy this?

Probably a couple years ago.

I was playing it on the Switch OLED.

I never finished it.

I got to the Water Temple thingy.

I finished one of the temples.

I finished the Water Temple, I think, and

then I had 2 more to do, and then I

couldn't be bothered.

I felt like I've seen enough.

I hate these stupid cutscenes.

I just want to get to the gameplay.

Yeah, so beginning of Zelda games usually

very slow,

not really much going on.

I feel a bit annoyed they want to charge

another £7 just for some texture updates

after you've already bought this thing for

£400.

A bit greedy.

Can she stop stopping me?

It is quite a big device.

I feel a bit tired holding it.

It's not like the Switch Lite where you

feel like you're barely holding anything

at all.

The screen, the big screen is really nice.

Your arms do start aching if you're not

bracing your elbows on your laps or

something.

Hmm, it looks like a cartoon, doesn't it?

Okay, we've got some combat.

Hmm,

why do they just stare at each other

without saying anything?

I also like how there's no fan speed— I

mean, no fan sound.

Play Steam Deck or ROG Ally, it's like

silly noises coming out of the fan.

Also, I don't feel it getting hot.

It's quite an efficient device.

I just want to get into— I hate games,

take so long to get into the main part of

the game.

As if I care about all this.

I can't even skip this bit.

Yeah, so I guess if you've already bought

this, well, you'd have to pay for the

update pack if you got a Switch 2.

You want the, you want the FPS upgrade and

stuff like that.

Oh, he lost all his hearts.

Such a shame.
