Why I'm BORED of Diablo 4 at level 72

Hello, welcome back to a new video. So

I've been playing Diablo 4 for a few weeks

now, maybe 2 weeks, and to be honest, I'm

at level 72 and I think I've kind of

gotten bored of the game and I don't

really see myself getting much further

into the game at this point. So I feel

kind of disappointed because I thought I

was going to get to 100, level 100, do the

endgame, get really stuck into this game.

But I've been playing it for 2 weeks,

been grinding non-stop for the last week,

and I've only managed to go from what

level 65 to 72. It takes such a long time

to gain even one level now. I can grind

and do dungeons for 2 days and only get

one level. So the rate of progression in

the game has dramatically, drastically

slowed down to the point where I'm barely

gaining any new levels. I'm not getting

any new loot. I just finished one of the

Nightmare Dungeons and all I got was a

bunch of crap. So the best items I got was

this stupid dust Devil Spinal,

which is 700 damage less than what I

currently have. I got these gloves, not

really anything interesting. I got this

polearm, which is basically the same as

the polearm I have already, and also this

ring, which I guess is okay, but I don't

use Ground Stomp. So I've kind of hit this

wall in the game where I can play the game

loads and loads and loads and I'm not

getting any new gear. I don't think I've

changed my gear at all since about level

60. Oh my god, look at the actual level

requirements on some of my gear. Level 60,

Requires level 68, requires level 70,

requires level 70, 70,

and 71. Okay, so most of it seems to be

about level 70, but I've still got a lot

of gear that I got around level 65 or the

back end of level 60, and I've just really

been struggling even though I've upped the

difficulty. I'm trying to do Nightmare

modes on Tier 25 and 26, and they still

don't drop gear that is better than the

gear I have. So to be able to get gear

that's better than the gear I already

have, I have to do above tier 25. I have

to do like tier 30, which I don't think I

can do because I'm struggling to not get

2-shot killed on tier 25 and 26. So to

be able to do tier 30 and above, I need to

be able to kill the mobs and get their

loot, but I can't because I keep getting

2-shot. So it's kind of like a catch-22

where I need the new gear from the more

difficult dungeons, but I can't get to

complete the more difficult dungeons

because I don't have the gear from the

dungeons. So how am I supposed to get the

gear from the level 30 and the tier 30

nightmare dungeons when I can't even

survive more than 10 minutes maybe, and I

just burn through my 4 revives so quickly?

It's just really weird because you'd think

that at tier 25 or 26, where the enemies

are like level 80 or 80 above, which is

about 10 levels higher than my character,

you think I'd get good gear, but I just

fought the Butcher, killed him obviously

because I'm pretty good at the game. I

killed the Butcher thinking, oh, he's

going to drop something amazing, and he

did. He dropped this Hellhammer, an

ancestral unique two-handed mace, and it

was really cool and exciting. I read the

aspect and it's just like, oh my God, I

don't even use Upheaval, and I tried

speccing into Upheaval, but it was just

rubbish compared to Hammer of the

Ancients, and the stats are not that

great. And actually, the bludgeoning

weapon I had before this did 500 more DPS.

But because this is like a unique special

item with cool effects, it makes fire

effects ignite the ground when you do an

Upheaval, which is pretty cool. So I

decided to ditch my 2,500 DPS hammer to

use this instead. But the damage is just

rubbish, and I was kind of disappointed

because it just feels like, okay, there's

all these cool skills in the tree and all

these different abilities, like let me see

Leap, Charge, and, uh,

where is it, Double Swing,

Upheaval, and this stuff here like the

Steel Grass. But I never use any of this

stuff because it's all inferior compared

to maybe one or two cookie-cutter builds,

which is either number one, the Whirlwind

build, which everyone seems to be using.

I don't like Whirlwind build because

against single enemies and bosses it does

really crap DPS. And you're just spinning

around this single target doing crap DPS.

And I don't like the way it automatically

moves you around the screen. I like to be

in control of my own character. So I like

the Hammer of the Ancients ability. This

is like my main go-to spec when I'm really

struggling in the game. I always go for

Hammer of the Ancients because it does

amazing single target damage. I've done

like 400,000 crit, and because I have this

modifier on my polearm, I've got this 96%

of its damage deals damage outwards. So

not only is it amazing single target, but

it's also amazing for AOE. So it makes you

think, okay, why would I get anything else

apart from Hammer of the Ancients and

maybe Call of the Ancients, which is

really OP against, against certain bosses?

Hold on, I'm getting interrupted right

here. Someone's shooting me. See, let me

show you. So I just trigger both my cries,

whack up some fury, and then do a Hammer

of the Ancients And that's the entire

gameplay loop for 99% of my gameplay, is

just run in there, spam my Cries and

Calls, do a Hammer of the Ancients,

obliterate everything. And this gets kind

of old and gets kind of repetitive, and

it's kind of annoying because any other

build using other abilities kind of sucks

in comparison to Hammer of the Ancients.

So I feel like I'm pigeonholed and forced

into doing one playstyle and using one

ability just because it's so much more

powerful and superior to the other

abilities. So the other problem I have is

the lack of things to do in the game. So

when you get to like level 72, there's

basically only 2 things to do in the game,

and that is to farm the Helltides.

Although there's a Helltide going on right

now, I might do that. There's Helltides

which you can farm and get stuff that you

need to upgrade to level 5 on your gear,

so you can upgrade your gear. And I've

upgraded basically everything to max

upgrade, 5 out of 5, apart from these

weapons because I don't really like these

weapons. I'm going to switch them out when

I get something better. I don't want to

waste my bell full fragments on it. So you

either do the Helltides, run around for

like an hour collecting the cinders to

return for epics, which most of the time

the epics you're just going to dismantle

or you're going to sell, or you do the

Nightmare Dungeons, which I've been doing.

So you can do up to whatever tier you want

to do, like 60 or 80, which will just

annihilate you. I've been focusing on tier

25s and 60s because that's kind of like

the edge where I can feel like I can

actually achieve and not get completely

destroyed. So I'm just farming these

dungeons, the same dungeons I've been

farming for what, the last 40 levels?

I've been doing the exact same dungeons

over and over and over again. You see

these dungeons like this one, Crusader's

Citadel, uh, what's this other

ones like, um Seaside Descent. I've done—

I think I've done all these dungeons now

multiple times, and you end up getting the

sigils for the tier whatever nightmare

dungeons for them. And you just end up

doing the same dungeons over and over

again, doing the same bosses over and over

again, and doing the same gameplay, just

trying to get to a higher tier so you can

get the better loot. And I don't really

know what the point of this is. Like,

what am I trying to achieve here? What is

the end goal? What is the end game? I

don't know. Like, I get to tier 80 dungeon

and then what? It's end of the game, and I

just struggled and struggled to get to

tier 80 for what? I don't really know what

I'm playing this game for anymore.

There's— it's just weird because at least

in World of Warcraft, you have this whole

world where you level through, and parts

of the world are too dangerous for you,

so you wait and you quest in one area and

then move on to the next area. But in this

game, you have the whole map available to

you, and you can just run around the whole

map, and the entire world is the same

level you are. By the time you're like

level 45 or 50, you would have seen the

entire map already. And getting to level

100, you're just going to be going around

the same map over and over again, doing

the same dungeons, same Helltides. And it

just feels like there's not much else to

do in the game apart from like run around

trying to find secrets, maybe trying to do

some side quests. I mean, you could do the

side quests. I haven't done any of the

side quests because they were boring fetch

quests like collect 20 stolen supplies.

Collect the Hidden Supply, find some trail

marker. Do they drop anything good? No,

they offer pathetic XP as a reward,

like 20k XP. Oh great, when I need— how

much XP do I need? I need like 1 million.

I need 8 million XP and the stupid side

quests give like 20k XP. Or you can do the

Grim Favors, go to the Tree of Whispers

and just grind favors, but then you get a

little loot box that gives you maybe one

epic or a sacred at most and a bunch of

crap. So you spend all the time grinding

10 Grim Favors just for one loot box with

maybe one sacred, or maybe get lucky and

you get the epic legendary loot box which

gives you a few more. But you're better

off just grinding the dungeons and doing

Nightmare Dungeons because that would be a

lot easier. Don't have to keep running

here and running there on the map, and you

get a lot more loot. I probably get like

between 5 6 or 7 maybe legendaries to

dismantle after I finish a Nightmare

Dungeon. And you really have to dismantle

the legendaries to get the fragments and

the special materials you need to upgrade

your current gear. And then you just kind

of sell the yellows and the blues, so

you've got money to repair and you've got

money to upgrade stuff and replace affixes

and replace this and that. So you

constantly need like a money inflow. I

have to spend like 400 If I wipe on a

dungeon, I have to spend like

400,000-500,000 gold just to repair all of

my gear. It gets kind of annoying. So

yeah, I really don't know if I see myself

leveling up to level 100 and getting to

endgame because I'm already so bored and

it takes me like 2 days, 3 days to gain 1

level. I've got another 30 days— I mean,

30 levels left. If it takes me 2 days per

level, that's like 2 more months of doing

this, and I really don't think I have the

patience or willpower to do this anymore.

For 2 months, you think I'm gonna grind

Nightmare Dungeons doing the same dungeon
