The GameStop WallstreetBets party is OVER -( - $GME $AMC

Hey guys, so the stock market just closed

a couple minutes ago and I thought I would

talk about the whole GameStop stock thing

and AMC stock thing.

I think unfortunately, I think the whole

thing is over. I know people keep saying

diamond hands and hold the line, it's

gonna short squeeze this week, AMC's gonna

squeeze to the moon on Thursday or Friday.

But honestly, I feel like the hype is

starting to deflate. I feel like the

excitement from last week is kind of just

disappearing bit by bit. And I actually

sold half of my AMC shares today because I

just don't really feel like AMC is going

to blow up again like it did last week. I

mean, last week it blew up by, what,

300%? I think that's

all it has to give really. I just cannot

see it blowing up 100% or 200% again.

I just don't see it happening. That's why

I decided to sell half my AMC and also

sold half of my GameStop shares. Well,

actually about 70% of my GameStop shares I

sold. Actually sold some of it at a loss.

It's been a bit of a, bit of a confusing

and rocky ride. So I bought How

many shares did I get? I had about 61

GameStop shares back when it was $21.

I stupidly sold it when it doubled and

reached $40. Then I bought back in when it

was around— I can't

remember now, so much has happened. I

think I bought around— bought back around

$140, sold again around $200. I kept

basically— I kept buying back in,

selling, waiting for it to go down, then

buying back in, then selling. And my most

recent buy was was I bought it around

$300, which is just way too high. And then

I bought a second position around $222.

So I sold the first position, $310,

sold that at a loss of about a couple

hundred. But I decided to keep my $222

position because I don't think GameStop's

going to drop below $222 this week.

Maybe later when the hype has deflated

even more. It'll probably drop below $222,

but I'm still going to hang on to it. I

don't have many shares. I've only got

about 6 shares at $222, so it's not really

a huge amount. But I got into AMC really

early. I got 400 shares of AMC around

$4.80. So when it blew up 300%,

I was up so much and I decided to sell

half of that today. Should have sold it

last week. Should have sold all of it last

week. I was up about £11,000 last week.

Now I'm only up about £6,000. Thousand or

$5,000, between $5,000 and $6,000,

decided that I would rather keep the

gains. I would rather keep the gains

instead of risking the gains for more

gains because I don't really feel like the

chances of it 100% doubling,

100x-ing again, I don't feel like that's

going to happen again, even though people

on Reddit keep saying, oh, the short

squeeze hasn't been squoze yet. It hasn't

happened yet because there's still lots of

shorts left and they have to cover this

week, they have to cover tomorrow, and

they're using manipulation tactics to

scare people into panic selling. A lot of

people are still convinced that the short

squeeze is yet to happen, and, um, that's

great. It's great for them if they're

willing to risk it, but I don't really

make that much money these days and I'd

rather just keep my gains. And I have

gained quite a lot out of this whole

situation. The whole GameStop

WallStreetBets situation has been pretty

good for my portfolio. My portfolio was

pretty stagnant, has been pretty stagnant

since the beginning of January, and it was

just great that I could just easily make a

couple of thousand on GameStop.

Excuse me. It was great that I could make

a couple thousand on GameStop and then a

couple thousand on AMC. It really boosted

my portfolio greatly. And it's still

really annoying to think that if I just

held on to my first investment of GameStop

when I had 61 shares at $20. If I

still had that when GameStop was as high

as $400 and I sold it then, I would have

been up by like £20,000 or £30,000.

That's just insane. And I will be

regretting that for the rest of this year.

So what do I have left? I still have about

200 shares of AMC. So I cut it down from

400 down to 200. I guess I still am

slightly hopeful that maybe things could

turn around. Maybe it could go back up to

$20. If it does go back up to $20, even if

it went back up to $16 or $17, I'd

probably just sell and then just end it

there. Cut my risk out, cut my risk off,

and just be happy with the gains. Still,

it's not bad gains, I think. I, I don't

know, I just don't really feel like it's

gonna moon like it did last week. And then

I've got how many shares of GameStop? Let

me check. Um, yeah, I've got 6 shares

of GameStop at $222 per

share, so I'd probably just hang on to

those because like I said before, I don't

feel like GameStop's going to drop that

low. So I'll just keep that £1,000 of

GameStop shares in my portfolio just in

case. You never know, maybe I'm wrong.

Hopefully I am wrong. I really hope I am

wrong. Usually— well, I've been wrong on a

lot of things since the beginning of my

trading career, and I've missed out on

tens of thousands of pounds and dollars

just because I either sold too quickly and

then it went up even more, or I didn't

sell quickly enough and then I missed the

chance to sell it and then it dropped back

down and I ended up selling at a loss. So

I'm not exactly the best at making these

decisions. Hopefully I was wrong, but then

also hopefully, you know, I was right.

It's kind of— it's the thing about

trading, it's kind of conflicting. You

want to be wrong and then you also want to

be right at the same time.

The whole thing has just been crazy. The

whole thing has been so much fun. It's

been so exciting being part of this

movement. I'm kind of proud that I got in

on it fairly early compared to mainstream

media and everyone else. I can't believe

there's 8 million members now on

WallStreetBets. When I joined, only had

about 1.8 million. I can't believe how big

it's grown, but I feel like it's peaked.

Last week was the peak, and I'm

just— I have this gut feeling that the

mania and the hype is just starting to

slow down. I don't know if it's just my

feeling, or maybe I'm wrong, or maybe I

haven't been reading enough stuff, but it

just doesn't feel as manic Even though

it's been a wild ride and it was quite

fun, I'm actually getting a bit fed up

with it. All you see is— all you see on

these trading communities now is GameStop

and AMC and GameStop and AMC, and now

they're going on and on about silver. I

miss— this is weird to say, but I miss the

days when people would actually talk about

proper companies and talk about investing

and taking it seriously. Now it's just

like everyone's just going YOLO on

GameStop and doing diamond hands. They're

just, they're turning the whole thing into

a massive joke. I'm actually a bit getting

a bit annoyed with all these idiots who

are getting into investing now and just

treating the stock market like it's a

massive circus. I started investing back

in November and yeah, I'm still new to it,

but I kind of feel proud of myself that I

managed to get £10,000 in gains by, by

investing the proper way, by picking good

companies and then holding and waiting for

them to go up. I didn't just put thousands

and thousands of pounds into random penny

stocks that people were memeing or hyping

up. I picked good companies and held on to

them for long enough to be able to make

some profit. And that did pretty well for

me. And I feel pretty proud of myself for

doing it the mature, responsible way. But

I just feel like this whole WallStreetBets

thing has turned the whole stock market

into a massive, massive joke. And I kind

of miss the days when people were all

talking about EVs and NIO and Tesla and I

don't know, proper companies that actually

have a future. So although it's kind of

sad that it feels like the party is coming

to an end, I'm also looking forward to the

stock market going back to normal. All of

these kids YOLOing and diamond handing,

maybe they'll get fed up and bored after

they have like a -50% in gains

or losses, not gains. I still see a lot of

people buying a lot of shares even now,

and I think they're going to end up

regretting it because I think they've

jumped into— onto the hype train as

it's leaving. I don't feel like they've

joined at the right time. I feel like

they've joined near the end and they're

going to be bagholding for a long time.

And I can just imagine the posts on

WallStreetBets after this whole thing has

died down. They're going to say stuff

like, oh, I'm down -90% and I've— I'm

down thousands of dollars, but I'm still

holding because they're so fanatical to

the cause. It's not really— to a lot of

people, it's not really about making money

anymore. It's like supporting this

movement to stick it to the men on Wall

Street. And I feel like they're going to

start posting pictures, screenshots of

how they're still holding their GameStop

shares even though it says -80%, and

they're going to be all proud about it and

start bragging about how they managed to

hold on to shares until the very end and

they never sold. I can just picture it

right now. Right now, but yeah, I don't

really feel like being one of those people

because I'm in the stock market and I'm in

investing so I could make money. I don't

really care about some kind of movement or

whatever. So I think I will probably

sell all of my AMC shares at some point

during this week if it goes up. Hopefully

it will go up a bit more so I can lock in

more of those gains, and I don't know,

maybe I will. Just hang on to the 6 shares

of GameStop I have. It's not really a huge

amount. I don't really mind if it drops

down a couple hundred pounds. Maybe I

would sell it if it drops below £200.

Uh, I guess we'll find out, wait and find

out, see what happens. So those are my

thoughts on AMC and GameStop hype. I think
