I was wrong about the gopro 7 - IT'S AMAZING

Hello and welcome back to another GoPro

video. So a few weeks ago I made a

critical video about the GoPro Hero 7,

absolutely slamming this device, and I

told everyone not to buy it. Well, today I

think I'm going to have to go back and eat

my words because after using it for a few

weeks, I don't think it's such a bad

product actually. I would even say that

you should buy it right right now. I've

been using the GoPro Hero 7 for several

weeks now, and I've made quite a lot of

videos using it, and I can honestly say

that it's, it's really good, and I really

enjoy being able to use it now. It's so

stable. The stabilization on this thing is

amazing. You can be walking around, you

can even be running, you could be riding a

bicycle, and it's not bumpy or jerky at

all. Stabilization, very impressive. It

just absolutely blows my, my phone, my

Samsung S10 Plus, it blows my S10 Plus out

of the water when it comes to

stabilization. So I have to talk about

some of the complaints I made in my first

review video of the GoPro, and yes, I have

to admit that I was wrong about several

things. One of my first complaints in my

first review video was that this case

housing thing was too difficult to open.

And yeah, at the beginning when I first

tried opening it, it was very difficult to

open. But I've realized that after opening

and closing it several times, it starts to

loosen— starts to loosen up a little bit.

And now look, I can open

it easily without any problems, without

breaking my fingernails, without causing

any damage. I can close it and then open

it. There's a little bit of a technique to

opening it. You basically have to shove

your fingers— try and shove as much flesh

underneath your fingernails in between

this little space here, and then just

pull it open. Don't be afraid, you won't

lose any fingernails. After opening and

closing it several times, it does start to

loosen up a little bit, so that's not

really a problem anymore.

My second complaint about the GoPro was

the front-facing screen. I said that it

was kind of annoying. Well, you might have

noticed that I've made a few modifications

on my GoPro. I found this very handy black

tape which I got from the DIY store,

and I just put the black tape straight

over the screen so you can't see it

anymore. That way it doesn't really become

a problem. I've also put black tape over

the GoPro logos because it makes it stand

out less, and I'm going to explain why I

want to make my GoPro stand out less in a

second. So if you've watched a few of my

previous GoPro walkaround videos, which

I've made quite a few of, you may have

realized that I do walking around videos

where I walk into stores and I just film

stuff, and this is how I do it. I have

this, this, um, clip-on mount

which clips onto my bag strap. So I walk

around using my bag and I have this

clipped onto my bag strap with the GoPro

attached to it, and I just walk around

filming and people don't even realize that

I'm filming. It's amazing how discreet

this little device is, and that's one of

my favorite things about it. This camera

is so great for secretly filming stuff.

Number one, look, you can just place it

down onto surfaces and it stands up by

itself because it has a flat bottom. If

you want to do the same with your mobile

phone, you can't do that. It won't stand

up. So with a mobile phone, you have to

get a little stand, and then it's kind of

obvious that you're filming because the

screen is on and it looks like you're

filming. When you walk into a room and you

see a GoPro Just sitting there on a table,

you're not really going to think that it's

filming. Well, you may not think it's been

filming, but I have bad news for you

because I've been secretly filming you the

entire time. Look, it looks like the

screen is black and it's off. It's not

off. Watch this little trick. It's on!

See that? It's on and it's filming right

now. And you didn't even realize. Look,

I'll do it again.

Does it look like I'm filming you? No?

Well, think again, because look, I've been

filming you the whole time and you didn't

even realize. Didn't even— you didn't even

realize. Look, 2 minutes. I've been

recording you for 2 minutes and you didn't

even notice. It's actually amazing how

people don't even realize that it's

filming. Just plonk it down. It's very

small, it's not very big. You put the

screen so it, it times out, so it goes

into screensaver mode after a minute, and

it looks like it's turned off. You turn

off the LED lights, you put a piece of

black tape over the screen, and no one

would have any idea that you're secretly

filming them. It's freaking amazing. My

friend Jimbo tells me that when he's being

intimate with a woman, sometimes if

there's a glass cabinet or a little secret

place to put the GoPro. He just places it

behind the glass cabinets, closes the

door, puts the GoPro right to the back so

you can't see it, and it will film

everything and the girl won't even

realize. He even told me that one time the

girl opened the cabinet to take something

out of it and she didn't even see the

GoPro. It was standing there right in

front of her and she didn't even notice

it. For example, I could just place it

here. Oh look, my GoPro's just sitting

there because I'm not using it. When

actually, I'm secretly filming you. Look,

you can't even see it. It's completely

black. It blends into the black TV.

Sometimes I secretly film my wife. I just

place it here. She's on the bed doing

stuff or cooking in the kitchen, and she

doesn't even realize that I'm secretly

filming her. I could put it onto my chair.

Completely blends in. You can't even see

it anymore. You put it onto any black

object, and the blackness of the GoPro

just means it blends straight into it.

And when I'm using my GoPro mount clip-on

for the strap— bag strap clip-on— people

don't realize I'm filming them either.

And if you want proof of this, just go

into any of my GoPro walk-around videos

and you'll see no one looking directly at

the GoPro. They'll look at me, at my face,

or they'll look past me. For example, I

walked into a game center, an arcade, And

usually you're not allowed to film in game

centers. If you take your phone out and

you start filming in a game center in

Japan, they'll tell you to get out or

they'll tell you to stop filming. But no

one even realized that I was walking

around the game center secretly filming

the inside of it. They didn't even look at

the GoPro. I rewatched my video to see

when I walked past staff members. None of

the staff members— some of them were quite

cute actually, by the way— none of them

looked directly at the GoPro, which means

They didn't even suspect that I was

filming with it. They just— maybe they

noticed it strapped to my chest, but no

one usually just suspects people are

filming when they have a GoPro strapped to

their chest. Number one, it wasn't

actually strapped to my chest. It was on

this mount attached to my bag, which looks

kind of different to a chest strap. It's

amazing because it means I can go anywhere

and film inside of places that I'm not

allowed to film in and And that just

increases the amount of potential content

I can make. I could walk into places that

I wouldn't have been able to walk into

previously and film it, which is, for

someone like me who feels kind of awkward

and nervous about filming, that is so

amazing. My dream is to have some kind of

camera that no one would even be able to

see. Maybe it goes into your pocket and it

just records everything in front of you.

Until that day comes, the GoPro is pretty

good for that job. It's not perfect

because obviously you can still see it.

You can still see the GoPro attached to my

bag. If you have a sharp eye, you might

notice what's going on. But the great

thing about people is they're so

concentrated and focused on what's going

on in their own lives, they don't really

pay too much attention to what other

people are doing, even when I'm secretly

filming them. And the reason why I put

this black, black piece of tape on is

because if you don't, they there's a

stupid little screen that makes it very

obvious you are filming. It has a little

timer that tells you how long you've been

recording, and if you see that timer

ticking upwards, then it's kind of obvious

that you are recording. So easy fix— you

can't turn that screen off in the menus,

which would be great. It'd be great if you

could just switch it off, but you can't.

GoPro think they're being clever trying to

prevent people from doing what I'm doing,

but no, they're not that clever because

you can just get piece of black tape and

hide the screen. And this black tape is so

good, it blends in so well with the GoPro,

you wouldn't even think there's a screen

behind it. I'm so impressed with the

GoPro, I'm actually thinking about making

all of my future vlogs on the GoPro

instead of my phone. Advantages to that

would be improved video quality. The 4K on

this GoPro is so crisp, so clear.

Compared to my phone's 4K, which it's

alright, but it's not as good. Also, the

stabilization on the GoPro just blows my

phone out of the water, like I said

before. And number 2, it's so much

smaller. Look at this device, it fits in

the palm of your hand. So much easier to

carry, so much easier to just plonk down

and film stuff without people getting all

upset. Because you know, these days in

modern society, everyone gets so upset and

offended about being filmed. As if their

faces are these precious secrets that must

be hidden from the online internet world.

So stupid. So in conclusion, even though I

complained a lot in my first review of the

GoPro, I've noticed that all of the

problems I had in the first video were

kind of stupid problems that are easily

fixable. You can even get different

housing cases which are easier to open,

that have a different style of opening

clasp. I might get one of those later.

But yeah, in conclusion, I'm very, very

happy with the GoPro. I'm very glad I got

it again. It's actually my second time

buying one. All of the problems I had

before don't really exist anymore, and the

benefits just outweigh the cons by far.

And I'll definitely be making more GoPro

videos. I really enjoy making them because

it's pretty easy to make. I just go to

someplace, walk around for about 20

minutes, or I go to a restaurant, put the

GoPro down for 20 minutes, just film me

and my wife eating. It's not really

difficult, don't have to talk or think of

anything interesting to say, just go to a

nice-looking place and then start GoProing

it. And I also think people appreciate the

higher video quality compared to my phone.

The quality is just so much better, and

I'm just trying to think of different ways

I could use it. I could go anywhere now,

really. And then just film it.

Maybe I'll go to the zoo next.
