Stress Testing Helldivers 2's Most EXPLOSIVE Crossbow - INSANE DAMAGE!

Hello, welcome back to a new video. So

today we're going to be looking at the CB9

Exploding Crossbow, the only explosive

crossbow in the game. I'm going to be

stress testing it against a variety of

different weapons and see if it's any

good. So there's quite a few explosive

weapons in the game now. I don't know why

the icon disappeared. Oh, there it is.

We've got the JAR-5 Dominator, the first

one, and then the new one Eruptor, and

then latest one the Exploding Crossbow

with an amazing 420 damage with

very low recoil, 5 capacity.

I'm most interested in comparing it to the

Eruptor. So the Eruptor is a single-shot

bolt-action reload firing 420

damage explosive rounds, medium armor

penetrating. The CB9 Exploding Crossbow

doesn't have armor penetration, so we're

gonna see if it's any good or how it's

better than the Eruptor. If it is. And

like always, you can find it on the

Warbond Democratic Cadet donation on the

final page for 80 medals. Doesn't take too

long to get. Okay, dropping down into the

combat zone, and we can instantly see—

yeah, it looks like a tiny little

crossbow. It's got a yellow reticle.

We've got no modes, just semi, and this

is what it looks like when you shoot it.

Looks kind of pathetic, to be honest. The

explosion is very tiny.

It's not very rapid-fire because you got

to wait for it to restring itself.

Oh, it's empty already.

Okay, let's find something to shoot

at, see if it's any good. Can I shoot it

It kind of volleys downwards at an angle,

which is cool. Hmm, I'm gonna wait for

those enemies to get a bit closer before I

take potshots at it.

That turret just got wrecked.

Still nothing to shoot at. About over

there. I hit something.

No one's coming to play. Okay, okay, so we

got a little guy. They get killed in one

shot. One shot. Oh, what about this guy?

I'm out of ammo. It runs out of ammo so

quickly.

Missed. Headshot. So it one-shots with

a headshot. The explosive AoE is not that

big. It's kind of hard to hit things too

because the bolt is so tiny.

I don't even know if I'm hitting it. I

don't think I am hitting it.

Oh, I blew that one up. Oh my

god, it's a freaking Hulk, obviously.

Oh, the range on that flamethrower is

insane. Yeah, well, I got some

fire too. How did I flame myself? What?

Okay, dropping in again. The nice thing

about it is I don't have to cool the

weapon down, you just start off with it.

Not really impressed with it too much so

far. There's either no enemies or a

bazillion enemies all at once. Try out

this small guy here. It's rubbish.

Look, you've got to get

a direct hit for it to actually do

anything, and it's not rapid-fire,

so you can't spray it. I prefer the

Senator pistol.

Is this thing blowing up or what?

Yeah, okay, yeah.

So the bolts have very small body to

hit the enemies with. The explosive thing

is not very impressive. Compared to

the Eruptor. Can you blow yourself up with

it? Yeah, you can.

I don't really know what this gun is good

for, what kind of situation. Definitely

not for crowd control. Can't spray this,

the AoE is too weak. Maybe for single

target enemies like this guy, maybe.

Took 2 hits already. It's 3.

It needs reloading so many times.

I've hit that thing 3 times now. There, 4

times. I think it's dead. 4 shots.

Not very impressive, to be honest.

That was pretty cool. Maybe against

Terminids is a bit better.

Okay, let's see if it's any better against

the Terminidos. Oh my god, I hate this

map. I can't see anything. For God's

sake. Why do they insist on making these

stupid maps that are just no fun to play?

Okay, first victim. 1,

2, 3.

Oh my god, 4. This gun sucks.

It's already empty. 4 shots and didn't

even kill it, and this is supposed to be

doing 420 damage. There, 5 shots.

I killed like 5 of these little guys.

Maybe it's better at blowing up little

guys more than it is taking heavy armored

things down. Well, to be fair, it doesn't

have medium armor penetration, so that's

probably why it took so long.

Oh my god, I'm getting swarmed. It's not

very good when you get swarmed. Okay,

let's see what it can do against one of

these armored guys. Oh, it blew its leg

Can only shoot— fuck, can I shoot that

mushroom? I think they fixed it so

you can't shoot them anymore.

Oh my god, I hate these flying things.

Why do they add flying enemies? The game

was so much better before.

They're so annoying. There,

I got one.

Yeah, this gun kind of sucks. Obviously

it's going to bounce off those. I don't

think I'd ever use this gun. At least the

Eruptor actually seems to do Explosive

damage with medium armor penetration,

whereas this one has no penetration,

does less damage— well, it does same

damage.

What is it even good for?

Oh my god, can I blow its bum out? Oh,

you can blow its bum!

Shoot his chest too. Out of ammo.

Come on, reload the damn thing. Jesus

Christ, how slow are you reloading that

stupid weapon?
