BEST SHOTGUNS in HELLDIVERS 2 - INSANE DAMAGE

Hello, welcome back to a new video. So

today we're going to be stress testing the

best shotguns in Helldivers 2. So there's

been a few new shotguns added to the

shotguns in Helldivers 2. We have the

Punisher Plasma, a brand new plasma

energy-based shotgun which does explosive

damage, which we'll be looking at later.

And we have the Punisher, the Slugger,

the Breaker, which was the classic OP

shotgun— it has been nerfed slightly, but

it's still pretty good— the Breaker Spray

and Pray, and the Breaker Incendiary. So

we're going to try off the Breaker

Incendiary at first and see what the other

shotguns are like, and then make a

comparison list between the different

types of shotguns. Okay, so first of all,

we have the Incendiary Breaker. This does

fire damage against enemies. It also does

very rapid fire rate, so you can see just

shred these light armored enemies without

any problems at all. It's pretty cool

because it sets things on fire, so there's

bonus damage, bonus fire damage, which is

very useful. So You're pretty good at

destroying swarms of enemies.

And next we have the Punisher, which does

the most damage in the game, 405 damage.

We're going to test that out quickly.

Okay, so here we have the Punisher

shotgun. It's actually really powerful.

Look, it can even destroy things in just a

couple shots. So the 400 base damage is

pretty insane. I mean, look at that. Even

against medium armored enemies, it won't

penetrate the armor. But if you get the

weak spots or the soft spots, it just

takes a couple shots and they go down.

This is one of the best guns, but it's not

very rapid firing. As you can see, it's a

bit slow, so you're not really going to be

doing crowd control if you get swarmed.

It's not really the best weapon to have.

If you get things in the head, then they

go down pretty quickly.

So yeah, it's a pretty formidable shotgun

with a slower rate of fire. Okay, next we

have the Breaker shotgun. This was one of

the most powerful guns in the game for a

long time, and it still probably is one of

the best guns in the game even though it's

been nerfed a little bit. So as you can

see, the Breaker shotgun, really

rapid-fire, very good at destroying

swarms, and does pretty good damage. So

going into this little engagement here,

yeah, it's still really one of the best

shotguns in the game. Does great damage,

great rate of fire. The problem with the

Punisher shotgun is the rate of fire is

just abysmally slow,

so I would never choose the Punisher over

the Breaker. The Breaker is still one of

my favorite guns in the game.

It's also really great at taking out the

flying things because of the good damage

and the high rate of fire.

Next we have the Slugger. Now this is a

very interesting shotgun, mainly because

it actually penetrates medium armor Which

they still haven't fixed in the weapon

traits description. It does in fact

penetrate medium armor. I don't know if

that's a bug or if the description is a

bug, who knows, but it's a pretty good

shotgun. So the trick with this shotgun is

what you'll notice is against enemies with

medium armor, you can actually penetrate.

So this guy, look, white damage on

his head. This one has medium armor head,

and I'm actually doing damage on it. See,

I just headshot it. So yeah, it is a

proven fact that this does medium armor

penetration but not heavy armor. As you

see, the bullets bounce off the armored

Chargers. It's a pretty good shotgun.

It doesn't have a really fast rate of

fire. It's got moderate damage,

280 damage, better than the Breaker but

much slower rate, less than the Punisher,

but the Punisher can't penetrate medium

armor. Like this can, so this is actually

more versatile as a shotgun than some of

the other shotguns. I would say it is one

of the best shotguns if you want a weapon

that can be used against medium armor

enemies. If you want something for

dealing with swarms, I wouldn't really

recommend this shotgun, mainly because it

just doesn't have the high rate of fire.

You might want to switch to a sidearm like

the Redeemer to take down swarms. And next

we have the Breaker Spray and Pray. Now

this is a gun that used to be really

rubbish, but they've recently buffed it so

it's not too rubbish. It's basically the

same as the Incendiary. It's got a really

rapid rate of fire. Look at the fire rate,

330 versus the rest of them have pretty—

like these have 80 fire rate, pretty slow.

The Breakers have like 300. This one has

80, this one has 300, so it's got the

highest rate of fire. But it does the

lowest damage, so we're gonna test it out

now. Okay,

so launching in, and straight away you can

see— look at the rate of fire on this

thing, it's insane. It destroys everything

nearly, but it's kind of weak against

armored enemies like these guys.

Take quite a few shots, nearly the whole

round. It's really good against swarms,

so if you're getting swarmed like this

against light enemies. It's a pretty good

gun. It used to be rubbish, used to do

such terrible damage, but they've really

done a good job fixing it, I think.

So if you're getting surrounded like this,

it's actually a very effective weapon,

especially against these tiny jumpers and

little bugs. They just get wrecked.

Yeah, this gun's pretty good,

but it does run out of ammo. I've already

And then finally we have the Breaker— I

mean, the Punisher Plasma. It's one of the

new energy-based shotguns. It's a pretty

good shotgun, but it is quite tricky to

use, as you'll see. Okay, so the Punisher

Plasma Shotgun, very interesting new

weapon from the new Warbond list.

It shoots out a blue bolt like that in an

arcing direction, kind of like a grenade

launcher, and also staggers the enemies,

which is quite interesting.

It only fires about 8 shots And you do

have to be careful where you fire,

otherwise this— that will happen. So it's

quite a dangerous weapon, you need some

skill to use it. It is a bit annoying

because if you're getting swarmed and the

enemies are right in your face, you try

and shoot them with it, you're gonna blow

yourself up. So it's a dangerous weapon,

not easy to use, but if you got some

distance on the enemies, you can blow them

up pretty well. You gotta think of it as

kind of like a lightweight grenade

launcher in a way.

Also, it doesn't really do medium armor

penetration, but the splash damage can

damage armored enemies if you aim the

bolts under them or behind them.

Definitely can't take down a Bile Titan

though.

But the hellpod can't either.

Ah, used to be able to one-shot those.

Hmm, yeah, it's pretty good, I guess. Not

really like a shotgun though, it's more

like a grenade launcher.
