I got a warning about my youtube channel...

Hey, so I had a bit of a surprise today.

Um, I went into the living room to have my

dinner, and the manager of the guest

house, he was waiting there, and he called

me over. He said, Daniel, can I have a

word with you? And I said, okay. And I

wasn't sure what he was going to talk to

me about. I thought he was going to ask me

for rent, but he didn't. So I sat next to

him and he said, Daniel, you're, you're

doing YouTube, aren't you? And I said,

yeah, how did you know? And he said he's

been getting complaints from some person,

and he said that I was filming them or

something. And he said to me that if I

keep filming inside of the guest house,

if I keep filming people in the guest

house, then I'm going to have to move out

and I won't be able to continue living

there. And the first thing I asked him

was, who was it? Who complained? And he

said he didn't know. And then I said, was

it someone who's living here? Well, I

guess that was kind of a stupid question

because who else would it be? It wouldn't

be someone who's not living here. And he

said he didn't know. And I said to him,

okay, I'll stop making videos in the

guesthouse. I'll stop filming people. And

he said that's okay. And he said as long

as I don't film inside the guesthouse,

then I can continue living here. And

there'll be no problems. And I thought to

myself, great, problem solved, there's no

issue. All I have to do is stop filming

inside of the guesthouse, which I was

going to do anyway. I wasn't— I'm not— I

wasn't planning on doing any more secret

streaming where I just sit in the living

room because that's kind of boring and I

don't want to do that anymore. So I didn't

think that there would be any more

problems. But then after— after he got up

and he said thanks, we shook hands and

everything was fine. After he left I

started to think to myself, did he really

get a complaint from someone who's living

in the guest house, or was it someone who

hates me? Did, did someone who hates me,

one of my haters, did they find out where

the guest house is? Which I guess wouldn't

be too hard because I keep doxxing myself

by accident by walking around and showing

the outside of it. And I also showed a

poster of the guest house which has the

guest house company's name on it. So it's

pretty easy to find where I'm living if

you really wanted to know. And it would

have been so easy for a hater to just look

up the company website, send him an email

and say, I'm living in blah

blah blah house in Osaka, and there's this

guy called Daniel and he keeps filming me.

Can you tell him off? It would be so easy

to just make up a fake email like that and

pretend to be someone who's living in the

guest house. I'm finding it very difficult

to believe that someone who actually lives

in the guesthouse complained about me,

because think about it. The only person

who knows that I do YouTube is the

Canadian guy. I haven't told anyone else.

And even if someone saw me filming inside

of the guesthouse, how— why would they

direct— why would they assume that I was

doing YouTube? It would have just looked

like I was Skyping to my mum or something.

Or maybe I was just taking a private

video. Why would they instantly think that

I'm doing YouTube? I could have been doing

Twitch, I could have been making a video

for another video website or anything, or

something like that. But it just sounds

too suspicious that someone in the

guesthouse complained about me and knew

that I was doing YouTube. I'm not sure if

the manager actually saw my channel, if he

saw my videos or not. I didn't ask him.

So if it was someone who lives in the

house and, and they,

and they, um, suspected that I was doing

YouTube, they still wouldn't know my

channel, would they? They wouldn't be able

to show the manager my channel. They

wouldn't have the link. They wouldn't know

the channel name. They wouldn't know how

to find it. So I'm starting to

be— I'm starting to get a bit suspicious

and paranoid that it's, it's one of my

haters who sent him a link if he,

if he has saw my YouTube channel. I should

have asked. I should have said, have you

seen any of my videos?

I'm 89% sure it's a hater who's done this.

I just find it very hard to believe that

someone in the guest house has complained

about me, has figured out that I do

YouTube. It just, it doesn't add up. And

like I said before, even if someone did

think that I was doing YouTube in the

guest house, they wouldn't know my channel

name. They wouldn't have the link to show

the manager Damn,

I really should have asked him if he saw

my channel or not, because if he said,

yes, I saw your channel and I saw some of

your videos, then that's 100% definite

that a hater sent him an email with my

link, because there's no way someone would

be able to find my channel just by knowing

the facts that I do YouTube. You would

have to know the channel name. So, um,

here's the next problem. The hater, he

can, he can easily send a second email

complaining again, saying, um, Daniel's

still making videos in the guest house

even though you warned him. He's still

doing it. Can you tell him off again? Can

you kick him out this time? That's what

I'm predicting will happen. And if the

manager, and if the manager does get a

second email like that and he starts

complaining again, I know I could just say

I'm not making any videos You can search

my YouTube channel and you won't find any

videos taken inside of the guest house.

He might suspect that I'm lying or that

I'm hiding the videos or that I've

uploaded it to a second channel, so he

might not believe me. And I don't know if,

if explaining to him the situation about

haters and pranks and doing stuff like

that will really change anything. I don't

really feel like he's very knowledgeable

about internet culture and being a

YouTuber and having haters that do this

kind of thing. I get the feeling that if

he gets small complaint emails, he's going

to 100% believe the people who are

complaining and not suspect them. And even

if he did suspect them, if he can't take

the chance that it's an actual customer or

a client who lives at the guesthouse, he

would end up having to kick me out because

it's causing such a problem or nuisance.

Even if I am innocent, or even if he

thinks I'm innocent, he might have to kick

me out anyway just because he can't take

the risk of upsetting other tenants in the

house. So I'm kind of predicting that in a

few days, or maybe in a week's time, he's

going to get a second email from a hater

saying that I'm still making videos in the

guest house, and then he's going to

complain again to me, and I'm going to say

I'm not making any videos, you can check

my channel. I'm not sure what he would say

after that. It depends if he believes me

or not, if I explain to him the whole

situation with the haters. And if he

doesn't believe me, then I guess I'm

going— I'm going to get kicked out and I

have to find a new place to stay.

You know, I don't really care if I get

kicked out, to be honest. I was actually

thinking about moving to an Airbnb,

getting my own place. I'm just not really

having fun in the guest house. I'm getting

irritated by— by being surrounded by

so many people who don't give a shit about

me, who don't even talk to me. I'm not

interested in talking to anyone here. All

the cute girls, they have boyfriends

already, so what's the point? I'm only

friends with the Canadian guy, but even if

I move out, I can still meet up with him.

Just because I don't live in the same

house as he does doesn't mean I can't meet

him anymore. So even if I get kicked out,

it's not really like it's a huge loss.

The problem is, if I was wrong and it

wasn't a hater and someone who actually

lives in the guesthouse was the person who

complained about me, then I've just given

all of my haters a really good idea on how

to get me kicked out. Shit.

The only thing I like— the only thing I

like about the guesthouse is this

neighborhood. I really like walking around

this area. It's so relaxing and peaceful.

It's very open. It's not cramped or

crowded. I can easily see if there's

people creeping up behind me when I'm

making a video. And it feels really safe

here in this neighborhood. There's nice

places to walk around, there's a river,

and it's very convenient. I guess I could

try talking to the manager and I could try

explaining, explaining to him this whole

situation before the second complaint

email comes. But that's,

that's kind of boring. Wouldn't it be more

exciting if I don't say anything and I

just see what happens, see if my

prediction comes true? I mean, yeah,

getting kicked out is going to be an

inconvenience, but is it really

a big loss? Does it really matter? What am

I losing exactly? All of my lovely friends

at the guest house. Oh, I'm gonna miss

them so much. All the cute girls who keep

flocking around me. Won't be able to talk

to them anymore. Not— it's not like the

rent is that cheap anyway. It's fairly

cheap, but getting my own place on Airbnb

would only be about £100 more expensive.

It's not a lot more expensive.

And on the plus side, I don't have to be

surrounded by a bunch of people who don't

even acknowledge my existence. I don't

have to put up with the Mexican guy in the

next room talking on his phone 24/7. I

don't have to worry about the French guy

mumbling to himself who seems like he's

going to go on a mass killing rampage any

day. So yeah, get me kicked out. As if I

care. It's kind of pointless, isn't it?

Haven't you been watching my videos?

Haven't you seen how much I've been

complaining about how shit it is at the

guesthouse? Why would you think that I

care if I got kicked out? If I was having

an amazing time there and I hooked up with

all the girls in the guesthouse, then

yeah, getting me kicked out would be a

huge pain in the ass. But that's not

what's happening, is it?

I guess I feel kind of frustrated

recently. Things are going

well with my girlfriend, I guess, but I'm

just not feeling it. I don't feel like I

want to be with her. I don't feel like I

miss her. I don't really feel like there's

any emotional connection between her and

I. And she keeps asking me, are you still

on Tinder? Are you still doing Tinder?

Like she's suspecting me of using Tinder

still. Which, which I am.

I'm not sure what to do. I just don't feel

like things are going very well. Maybe I

should just say goodbye to her and then

say goodbye to the guest house, move to a

different city. I don't really

feel like there's anything here worth

staying for. But it's not all negative

stuff. There's some good stuff. All of my

videos got remonetized, so I'm getting ad

revenue again. So if you haven't seen

those videos, or even if you have seen

those videos, go and watch them again so I

can get some ad revenue— all the ad

revenue that I missed out when it was

being reviewed. That would help me out a

lot. Also, Twitch is going great. I'm

having a lot of fun streaming on Twitch.

People are being very generous on it, and

I'm really glad that I made the jump to

Twitch, something I've been wanting to do

for a long time. So yeah,
