Testing The New Helldivers 2 Update ｜ HUGE Patch, Bug Fixes, BUFFS and NERFS

So I think they've actually gone and done

it. They've nerfed the railgun. I swear

before you could penetrate basically any

armor using the railgun, but now I've seen

multiple times the railgun bullets

ricocheting off things like the Armored

Charger. So have a look

at this. Watch this. Oh, did you see that?

It ricocheted off its head. Oh, look at

that. It never used to do that before. It

always used to go straight through it.

Watch this. Oh, they really

nerfed it. It used to blow off their leg

armor in like 2 hits. This time it just

bounced straight off. Look at that. The

railgun is completely useless now against

the Chargers. Why did they do that?

Look. It doesn't penetrate heavy armor

anymore. They completely nerfed the

railgun. I can't believe they did that.

The railgun was like the best way to

defeat the Chargers. Now what are we

supposed to use? Oh my god, they nerfed

the railgun so hard. Every single shot

just bounced off its armor. I think it

also bounces off the, the Bile Titan armor

as well now. That basically makes the

railgun kind of useless now. See if I can

get my railgun back. Okay, here's my

railgun and a Charger. Watch this,

watch. Oh, it bounces straight off.

Oh, I can't believe they did that. That

means my video about how to take down

Chargers with the railgun is completely

wrong now.

Maybe I can shoot his bum. I guess you

gotta aim for its bum now.

It bounced off its bum. What? Well, I shot

it on its belly, so without

being able to break its armor,

I'm kind of hopelessly defenseless here.

What about the Bile Titan? Oh, did you see

that? It bounces straight off the Bile

Titan. Look, went straight off,

and I'm out of bullets.

Interesting. I'm guessing they were fed up

of everyone using railguns and the railgun

being the only viable weapon to take down

nearly every enemy, so they've nerfed it.

But then have they at least buffed the

other weapons, because what are we gonna

do now to fight the Chargers apart

from just missile launchers? I guess they

want us to use the missile launchers more.

Damn, I'm gonna miss the railgun. It was

pretty fun just blowing off armor with it.

Look, I see way more people using the

rocket launchers now. Is that a spear?

Because before, barely anyone used rocket

launchers. They always used railguns. Now

everyone's running the spear or the

recoilless rifle. I think the meta of the

game has drastically changed now.

They've also done a bunch of other buffs

for the shotgun. So if you have a look at

the Breaker Spray and Pray, you'll notice

it now does 192 damage. I'm pretty sure it

used to do like 140 damage, so they've

buffed the damage of the Spray and Pray.

And they've also buffed the damage of the

Punisher, does 405 damage. It definitely

did 360 damage last time I checked. And

the Breaker shotgun, I don't know if

they've nerfed it.

Seems like it's the same 330 damage.

And it seems like they've nerfed the

Breaker shotgun a little bit. They've

reduced the capacity from 16 to 13, and

the recoil is now much more, so you can't

spray it as much as you could before. But

the Breaker spray and pray is now much

better than before, can actually penetrate

light armor. Before, I think it couldn't

even destroy eggs. It was so weak.

Okay, so I want to test out a few weapons.

We've got the flamethrower, which I've

heard has been buffed significantly.

Also, the laser cannon apparently has also

been significantly buffed. And also the

Breaker Spray and Pray has been buffed a

lot. So test out these weapons, see what

they're like. Still kind of feels the

same. I need some enemies to shoot at,

but I landed somewhere where there's

basically nothing.

Okay, I found some enemies. Let's see if

Hmm, it's still kind of rubbish, to be

honest. It's like a slightly more powerful

version of the scythe beam weapon.

Oh, it actually penetrates medium armor.

Oh, that's pretty good though. But I think

support weapons should all definitely

penetrate medium armor, otherwise what's

the point of it? Oh, you gotta reload it.

Oh crap. Maybe I'll go and get the

flamethrower quickly, if I can actually

stand up. I could try the spray and pray,

see if that's any good now. Oh yeah,

it is a lot better. I actually managed to

mow down quite a lot of them before they

got me. So I want to go and get my

flamethrower. I think I left it here.

Where'd I put it? Oh, here it is. Let's

see if the flamethrower is any good now.

Oh wow, it nearly instantly kills these

little guys.

Oh my god, it's not— it's not

great. Oh, it does set the ground on fire.

I don't know if it used to do that.

I'm out of ammo. It'd be funny if walking

into water puts the flames out.

God, these things do loads more damage

now. They're like 2-shotting me. Why

haven't they fixed the armor thing yet? I

think they still haven't fixed heavy

armor, medium armor ratings.

Try to break a spray and pray again.

It seems to do way more damage. I feel

like Helldive difficulty is way more

difficult now just because they've nerfed

some of the best weapons, and they've

definitely buffed the damage. Look at

that, I'm getting 2-shot by these flappy

ear things. Very tough.

I think to solo a Helldive mission It's

just way harder now. I want to get rid of

these guys so I can get the flamer back.

It's still not amazing, the spray and

pray, but at least it's kind of usable

now. It just takes way too

many bullets to kill them. It's stupid.

It still feels weak. Oh, it penetrates

the medium armor. Oh wow,

guys, calling in more bugs.

Great.

Also, I think they've buffed the 500 kg

because it, it seems to do more AoE damage

now instead of just a concentrated area.

Yeah, this is way harder. I can't even get

on my feet here. The game has

gotten way, way harder.

Okay, let's see if I can land on it. I

think I landed on it, kind of.

You get, you get spammed attacks and you

can't move.

Also, it seems like the matchmaking's

bugged because no one's joining my game.

But I can't even get back to my weapons.

Oh, he jumped right in front of the

grenade to save his friends and then blew

me up as well. If I land back over here,

I want to get the flamethrower.

here. I just came out of a Helldive

difficulty match with a full team and we

just got wiped.

There's so many bugs spawning, we just

couldn't push them back. I don't know how

much damage the Flamer does against

Chargers now.

Why is it just randomly charging?

So can you set the floor— oh, you can!

Oh, it does a lot of damage. You can set

the floor on fire and create like a trap,

which is pretty cool.

I think maybe the flamer is gonna be the

new best way of killing the Chargers

because the railgun used to be the best

way. But now the railgun barely

does any damage. I mean, it doesn't do any

damage, it just bounces off every shot.

But this actually goes through armor,

which makes total sense.

Armor should not be helping you against

fire. I can't even dodge these guys,

I'm out of lives.
