insta360 GO 3 top Tips and Tricks

Hello, welcome back to a new video. So I'm

assuming you just got yourself a new

Insta360 GO 3S and you want some tips and

tricks for your new camera. So I've been

using it for a while now and there's some

things I've discovered about it that I

would like to share with you in today's

video. So my first tip is once you've

detached the little camera from the main

body of the camera, you can actually press

this logo where you can see the logo it

actually clicks when you press it down.

So I'm going to go ahead and press it,

and what that's going to do is it's going

to start recording. So you press it once

and listen for the click. So did you hear

the click? And now you can see it is

recording myself like that. And also you

might notice that the video preview on

this little display doesn't look very

good. Look.

It's kind of blocky and pixelated, but

don't worry, that's not what the video is

actually going to look like once you've

finished recording and you transfer the

file. It's going to look really good, 4K

crisp and high resolution. It only looks

kind of blocky on this little screen

because it is wirelessly connecting the

camera to the body, and it can't really

show you what the video actually looks

like because that would require a lot of

CPU and probably burn the battery pretty

quickly. And then to stop recording, just

simply click it again like that. You can

hear the click and it will stop recording.

And then you can see on your videos— yeah,

so you've actually got to reattach the GO

3S into the Action Pod to be able to

browse your photos. So just reattach that

in there, and now you can browse your

photos and you can see the video I just

took. And now you can see it is

recording myself like that. And also you

might notice that the video preview on

this little display doesn't look very—

Okay, so on to the next tip. You can

actually use the Insta360 GO 3S as a

webcam. So you probably don't know this,

but some of you might, but I actually do

live streams and I don't have a webcam.

I've been using my phone connected

wirelessly to my computer to act as a

makeshift webcam, and I've been having

problems with it. And I was very delighted

to find out you can actually use this as a

webcam. It's very simple, you don't have

to do anything. All you have to do is you

need to get a USB-C cable that's plugged

into your computer. So I'm just going to

temporarily disconnect my keyboard and use

this one. And then you want to plug it

into the side like this,

and then you'll get this menu. I'm gonna

say USB mode, uh, U-Disk mode

where you can transfer files, or webcam.

So I'm gonna press webcam. So now it's

being recognized as a webcam. So what you

could do is go on to some kind of software

where you have to use a webcam. This is

Streamlabs, you might be familiar with it

if you do live streaming. But if you go

into Streamlabs or OBS and you go on to

the sources, go on to the video capture

device which is there And then you've got

a list of different cameras that you can

choose from. So I've got my laptop webcam,

I've got my phone, and also you've got

this new one. It will say GO 3S,

and you click it and wait a few

seconds. Now if it's still frozen, you

might have to press deactivate and then

activate it again to reset it. Okay, so it

should be— yeah, it's on now. So yeah,

I'm moving the GoPro— I mean, not the

GoPro, the Insta360 GO 3S around, and

look, it's is working as

a webcam. So yeah, if you need some kind

of webcam, then this can work as a webcam.

So that's, um, yeah, it's pretty good,

pretty good way to use it other than

vlogging or action camming. One thing you

do have to be aware of is you cannot

detach it from the Action Pod. It has to

be in the Action Pod. If you detach it,

your feedback will go Blanky blank.

Another top tip is if you have a beanie

instead of a cap and it's kind of

difficult to attach the Action Insta360

GO 3S— that is not a very— doesn't really

roll off the tongue, that name. But

anyway, it doesn't really attach to a

beanie very easily with this clip thing.

I just could not hold this open and wedge

the beanie edge into it. So I found this

other way to attach the camera to a

beanie. So what you do is detach it, and

what you want to do is fold up the edge of

the beanie like that, and then you get the

necklace thing, and then you just tuck it

in like that, like there. And then you

just get the 360 GO 3S and then just

magnetically attach it, and that will most

likely stay on if it's on your head and

it's tight. It's just loose right now, so

it's flopping everywhere. So yeah, that is

a good way to attach it to the inside of a

beanie. You don't have to put the necklace

thing down your shirt, you can put it in

other places like up your bum. Yeah, so

now you can see I'm wearing the beanie and

I've got it on my forehead. So if you

activate the Action Pod,

you can see the preview Got this

stupid firmware warning. So yeah, you can

see the preview of the reflection

that the camera is shooting from my head,

and we can walk around and you can see

what I'm shooting, which is basically

what's in front of me. So yeah, if you've

got a beanie and you want to figure out

how to put it on your head, uh, and look

really cool and stylish this is a great

way. And also, if you didn't know, if you

put the, uh, 360 GO 3S into

this little mount, so you've got that hat

mount, uh, there's actually metal in the

back plate of this bit, so you can attach

it to the necklace thing. So you can do

this like that, and now it's attached to

the necklace. You might be wondering why

would you want to do that. So if you put

this down your shirt and you put this on

the other side, you can now pivot the

camera. It's hard to do one-handed.

Yeah, you can pivot it up or down,

whereas if you just attach it to the

necklace without that mount thing— God,

the magnet is really strong. Jesus Christ,

I can't take it off.

Oh damn. So if you just put this on

without the mount, it will be just fixed

facing forwards like that and you won't be

able to pivot it. Okay, let's have a look

at the settings. So you can turn things

off like the lights, the indicator lights

can be turned off. You can also turn off

the, the annoying sounds by muting it. So

you've got quite a lot of options and

settings you can play around with. You can

also digitally zoom by holding on that 1x

Uh, hold on, it's kind of tricky. Yeah,

so if you hold on the 1x and you slide it

down like this or slide it up, you can

zoom in. It's just like the iPhone zoom,

which is kind of funny how they've just

ripped off certain design elements of

iPhones. But if you have an iPhone,

you'll be very familiar with this scrolly

wheel for zooming. So that's a good one.

I think you can also tap it. Now you've

got to hold it down. And also for the

volume controls on your feedback, you can

press this little sound button and And

that also looks just like the sound volume

control on the iPhone, which is typical

China stealing things. I think it's a

Chinese company, isn't it? Insta360.

Yeah, so those are some secret tips and

tricks for the Insta360 GO 3S.
