DO NOT BUY Elden Ring Nightreign - VERY Disappointing!

Hello and welcome back to a new video.

So recently I've been playing the brand

new Elden Ring: Night's Reign.

Just dropped, brand new game, basically

the same as Elden Ring but worse in every

way.

And I had to make a video about it as an

avid fan of Elden Ring.

Unfortunately, it's been kind of bland,

boring, and uninspiring.

Basically, the game Elden Ring: Night's

Reign takes everything that was great

about the original Elden Ring and makes it

somehow worse in almost every single way.

So it's basically a dumbed-down version, a

streamlined version version of Elden Ring.

So in the first Elden Ring, what you

remember from the first game is that it

was very slow, it's very difficult.

You create your own character, you level

up, you had like a massive range of

options that you could choose from

tackling the game, and you can choose so

many things and customize your character,

and you had a sprawling massive world, and

it was amazing everything.

So basically all that's gone in Elden

Ring: Night Rain.

You don't even get to create your own

character, you have to choose from 8

different presets, and you've got like

typical warrior, mage, this, that, blah

blah blah.

So you can't even create your own

character, and then you've got to choose

from these presets which are kind of just

boring versions of things you would have

created on your own.

You don't get to create your own

character, you don't get to create like

your own build style.

There's not all of the different weapons

that you had in Elden Ring and not all the

combinations that you were used to having

in the original Elden Ring.

And the world is basically just like very

streamlined.

It's not really about open world

adventure, it's more like streamlined boss

fighting, focus on mainly bosses.

So basically it's just like a Dark Souls

game, but it doesn't really play like a

Dark Souls game because instead of being

slow, methodical, it's very fast-paced and

high speed to make it more arcadey and

more palatable to people who don't really

like Dark Souls games.

So it's kind of like a Dark Souls game for

people who don't even like Dark Souls.

So I don't even know why they made this

game.

It looks like Elden Ring, it smells like

Elden Ring, but it doesn't feel like Elden

Ring.

It feels like an arcadey game on the

mobile app store or just trying to make

some extra bucks off of the Elden Ring

name because, you know, Elden Ring brand,

very famous, very popular game a couple

years ago.

So obviously they can make some more money

just by using the same name even though

the game is rubbish.

It's like they used a fraction of the

budget that was made to make Elden Ring to

make this game because it really does seem

like a very low budget game.

Not really much went into it, just a

couple boss battles here and there.

Some online co-op mode is the main selling

point of the game.

So basically I would describe this game as

a cheap cash grab because, you know, they

haven't come out with, with any more new

Elden Ring games since the Elden Ring DLC,

and it's probably very expensive to make

these Elden Ring games, and they're

probably running out of ideas and they

just want to milk the franchise a bit

more.

So they came out with this game, Night

Rain, and it's supposed to be co-op, so

you're supposed to play with friends,

you're supposed to fight bosses and not

really care about leveling up or creating

your own custom character or creating your

own playstyle or build and exploring the

world.

That's all gone out of the window with

Night Rain.

So it also feels a lot quicker

quicker and a lot more responsive compared

to the combat in the original Elden Ring.

Now you might like that or you might not.

If you like faster-paced combat, you

probably would never really like Dark

Souls in the first place, so this might be

right up your alleyway.

But some of you might like the methodical,

slow-paced, clunking, chugging along,

slow-paced combat in Elden Ring.

Well, you're not really going to find that

here.

I think if they just charged about £20 for

this game or even £15 and it was on

mobile, then maybe it's like fun game to

play on the bus or something, or on a

low-powered device like maybe a Switch 2.

I hope it is coming out on Switch 2

because Switch 2 is going to have Elden

Ring on it, the original one.

So if it can play the original one, I

don't really see why it can't play the new

one.

And I don't really want to play the

original one again.

So if I was going to get a Switch 2, or

interested in getting a Switch 2, and I

don't really like Nintendo games and

third-party games are the only games I'm

interested in, and all they had was Elden

Ring Instead of Night Rain, I'd be

thinking, hmm, don't really want to spend

£400 so I can play a game I've already

played 5 times, NG+ 4 times already,

nearly 3 years ago.

I want to play the new one if I was going

to play one at least.

If I was going to play one at least, I

want to play a new one on the new console.

But I don't know if they're going to have

it on Switch too because it's like every

game comes out 5 years late on Switch

after they come out on the PC.

So you got to wait a long time.

So unfortunately, in general, I have to

say this game is going to be very boring.

It's very bland and it lacks in many kinds

of lustres.

I'm gonna have to give it a 3 out of 10

and I cannot recommend it.

Even if you like the original Elden Ring

games, I think you should just play the

Elden Ring original games and DLC instead

of buying this.

I would say skip this because this is

obviously a cash grab and it's not very

good.

And that's basically just all I had to
