Why 2022 was TERRIBLE

Uh, okay, so today,

um, last stream of 2022, end of year

review.

I can't stream all day today because my

girlfriend said because today's her last

day at work for this year, she has like a

half day. And I asked her what time she's

coming home. She said it's a surprise,

so I don't know when she's coming home.

I'm guessing around lunchtime. It's kind

of annoying. Why can't she just tell me

when she's coming home?

And she's not working tomorrow because

it's— I don't know why, it's not even the

last day of the year. I mean, it is the

very last weekday of the year.

Is it? I thought Monday was the last day

of the year. Oh no,

Saturday is the last day of the year.

Why doesn't she go to work tomorrow? Oh my

God, I never dated someone who takes so

many damn days off work.

So irritating. Chihiro never took days off

work like this. Chihiro always went to

work every day and came home in

the evening. Why does this girlfriend

always seem to take Friday off? Oh,

it's so annoying because I want to stream.

And then yesterday she said she was going

to buy me a Burger King. She came home and

there was no Burger King. I said, where's

the Burger King? She says she hasn't

ordered it yet. So I had to wait 20

minutes for her to order it and for it to

arrive. And then she got me the wrong

thing. I said I wanted a Whopper and she

got me a Whopper Jr. She got me 2 Whopper

Juniors, but a Whopper Jr. is not the same

as the Whopper.

God, can't do anything right. If you

have to do something, you gotta do it

yourself, I guess. Why didn't she just

order the Burger King when she was in the

car, like 20 minutes before she arrived?

And then I was on my phone scrolling on

Facebook, and then she suddenly like

floats over to me and then sees what I'm

looking at, and I quickly tried to close

it. But then iPhone is annoying because

when you're in an app and you swipe up,

it doesn't take you back to the home

screen, it just closes the app, takes you

back to the folder you're in. So then she

sees the Facebook app icon and then she

says, oh, I thought you didn't use

Facebook, because I told her I don't use

Facebook because I was worried she might

say, can I add you on Facebook? Which I

can't add her on Facebook because it says

my name on it. So now she knows I got

Facebook just because I was scrolling on

it for like 2 seconds. I hate it when she

goes over behind me and then looks at what

I'm doing on my phone. Mind your own damn

business. So irritating.

It's like I can't do anything I want to do

because of the risk she might suddenly

walk behind me and then look at what I'm

doing. Can't people stop

being so damn nosy all the time?

It was just some silly like TikTok video

of someone falling over that I watched.

I hate people looking at what I'm doing.

I wish they made phones where only you can

see what's on the screen and to everyone

else it's just like a black screen.

So I haven't showered or brushed my teeth

or anything because I don't have time.

So now it's like I sit here looking at my

phone, but then she like comes from the

kitchen or the bedroom, which is over

there, and then she like walks behind me.

so she can never come behind me. Oh, look

What's in Vietnam?

In Vietnam, I have to go to Vietnam

because I have to leave Thailand and I

want to go to Malaysia again, so I chose

Vietnam as the country to reset my tourist

visa, and then back to Thailand for more

exciting life in Thailand videos. I kind

of hope I'm gonna get denied entry. I'm so

bored of Thailand. I can't do anything.

My girlfriend's starting to get kind of

annoying. We barely do anything. She just

goes to work and then goes to sleep,

which is fine because I need her to be at

work. But then she doesn't

don't feel like I can do what I want to

views, you would think, oh, that's not

viral, that's actually pretty bad for

PewDiePie only getting a million views.

But then if I got a million views, you'd

be like, wow, congrats Dan, you got a

viral. If PewDiePie got 500k

views, that'd be pretty crap for

irritating thing that happened.

start streaming as soon as I wake up

before my bloody girlfriend comes home.

March?

Much, much, much,

much, much, much. I was so wrong about

Elden Ring. It's just like non-stop Elden

Ring videos. I was so wrong about Elden

Elden Ring strongest tank build. Why I

hate Elden Ring. The views were so good,

it was like 800k, 22k, 170k,

That was like back— going back to when the

channel was popular again. Too bad the

Elden Ring trend died and I had to go back

to making my previous type of content.

But yeah, nothing really happened in March

apart from non-stop Elden Ring videos.

But I think I went on some dates. I think

I went on the Polish woman date in London,

which sucked.

She was kind of ugly. She was— I mean,

she was kind of good-looking, but she had

like very thin hair, very cracked lips.

She was only 36, but she looked like she

was nearly 50. Scandinavian women,

or Polish— she's not really Scandinavian,

but like that part of Europe, the women

there just aged so badly. She was very

white, like very Caucasian, blonde hair,

very fair skin, but she had like a

mustache. I could see like very visible

facial hair when

the sun shone on her face. I could see

I met her twice. She didn't want to do

anything. I tried kissing her, but she

moved away.

So I give March probably a 7,

was booming, but some of these dates kind

of sucked. April, I think I had more

That British girlfriend was so irritating,

had to block her after a few months.

April— April was still video games, and

then I went back to— I I tried doing LEGO

Star Wars, see if that would blow up and

be my next game, but it didn't really

ship in LEGO Star Wars, and then they only

got 3K views. So I thought, well, I think

I'll go back to my old stuff. I did why I

moved back into my mum's house.

Those videos did well actually, like over

10K views. 13K views. I lost half

those viewers now.

Up until now, I was still getting like

10-13K views. Now I only get about 5 or

6K. I lost half my viewers again, cut in

half by another 50%.

I forgot what happened in April. I think I

was just dating. I'd give April maybe

Uh, May, I think I met British girlfriend

number 2 who I dated for a few, few

months. Yeah, I only

gained— I think I gained 3K subs from the

Elden Ring stuff. People don't sub from

that kind of content because the content

sucks, and also some tutorials which

weren't great. People didn't think, wow,

this guy's amazing.

It's not going to grow the channel by

much. I don't know how many viewers stuck

around from the Elden Ring stuff.

And then June, I think in June I began

driving lessons, and then I

kind of became obsessed with driving and

cars, thinking it would help me get a

girlfriend. That was the main reason why I

really wanted to drive, because I was

getting desperate. I was thinking, what

can I do to improve my chances of getting

a girlfriend? And I thought, I know, I

will learn to drive.

And I passed my driving test and I got

dumped. She said she lost interest in me.

So it turns out girls don't give a crap

whether a guy can drive or not.

So I'd give Mei,

um, I had quite a good

time the first dates with the British

girlfriend. We went to London. I took her

to Korean barbecue. Cost me like £100 for

the meal alone, and she didn't even offer

I felt like June was a bit better because

I was interested in driving and I was

going on a few dates with that British

and it's kind of nice to have someone to

go on dates with again. So I kind of

enjoyed the dates even though we weren't

really having sex. We had sex once— well,

3 times, but we just met overnight once.

me use a condom, which I didn't like,

but it was interesting having sex with

weird. I don't know why, they just look—

I started doing a load of ex-wife spam

again. Why I want to get back with my

ex-wife stuff.

And I started doing a load of Japan

videos, which did pretty well actually.

Why I hated being married in Japan got 20K

views. My Japanese ex-wife is trying to

ruin my life, 16K. Why Japanese people

don't want foreigners to come back, 51K.

Those ones did pretty well. Maybe I should

do more Japan topic videos.

Should tell your girlfriend about your

The Chris Broad videos don't really do

well anymore. I made one a couple weeks

ago and he got 5K views. It was about— it

was like a reaction video to his 12 things

he hates about living in Japan, which he

completely copied me I was famous for

saying why I hate living in Japan.

He obviously took my idea and now he got 2

million views with it. Mine only got 600k.

So unfair. He's pretty rich as fuck.

Yeah, he makes like 40k a month on

Patreon. You can go into his Patreon, he

has like 40,000 Patreon members. It's

insane. Abroad in Japan Patreon.

Oh, he's only got 7,000 patrons. He's got

7,000 patrons, but I think the minimum

level is a couple pounds.

It's like £2 for the minimum level, and

I'm pretty sure most of his patrons are

subscribing to the middle tier.

So that's like at least £14K a month if

you assume that at least half are paying

for the middle tier. Then he's probably

making like £20,000-£25,000 a month.

Yeah, I have a Patreon. Mine only makes

about $9 a

month, but there's nothing on my Patreon

since January when I was making that video

game. Oh yeah, I was making the video game

in— no, that was December,

or was it January? I'll put it as January.

Made video game Uh,

it kind of flopped. Not many people

signed up to my Patreon to try it, so I

gave up. I thought 1,000 people would

be interested in buying it. I charged like

$2 a month so you have access to my game

as it's being developed, and I was

uploading the new versions as I worked on

it, and only about 20 people signed up.

And it was really stressful and hard work

doing the coding for that game.

Lost interest. The money wasn't there

either.

It's supposed to be like Xbox Gaming Pass.

You don't just pay once, you pay like a

monthly subscription, and what you get in

return is You get a game made by me that

is being updated and new stuff's being

added to it. I was going to add stuff like

new levels, new characters. I was going to

add in the Hide in My Room lore into the

game, Chihiro and stuff. It was going— you

would be— you're supposed to be able to

buy a ticket to Japan, and then I was

going to make a whole Japan level, and

then it would cost you like $5,000 to get

the ticket and And then to make money,

you're supposed to do missions and quests.

And then go to Japan and then get a job,

meet girls. It was supposed to be like

a kind of action/dating sim. It was

working! I had a whole level finished.

The house was finished, the computer

system was finished, the internet shopping

thing was finished, the combat system was

finished, the weapon system was finished.

Switching different weapons. You don't

know how difficult it was doing the code

so you can switch weapons. It seems like

an easy thing, but to switch weapons,

you've got to destroy the first weapon and

then make the new weapon spawn on

his hands, and then make sure the first

weapon isn't doing stuff anymore and

disabled. It kept going

wrong, like you'd switched weapon, but the

first weapon was still shooting bullets

even though it was invisible. Or it would

switch to the second weapon, and then when

you switch back to the first weapon, the

second weapon would disappear and never

come back again.

If all the stuff is finished, why not

release the full game? It was released on

my Patreon. The full game wasn't

finished, but like the, the basics, the

basic foundation was finished. And on top

of that, I was going to add new levels and

weapons and characters.

But it didn't really make much money. I

got bored and it was stressful. Coding was

driving me crazy. I hate coding. Coding

sucks. I don't know how anyone can stick

with coding for more than a year. I can

get into coding, but after a few months I

get so annoyed with it.

because it was drama. You guys don't want

to watch normal stuff. My new video has

And it got pretty bad CPM as well. Oh my

Since Christmas is finished,

on that video even though I only got 5K

But next year, a bit worried about next

year. I think the channel is just— I don't

know how to bring the channel back to

life. People are just not interested in

anything.

They keep saying, oh, it's boring because

you don't go outside, but then when I go

outside and make videos, they get even

less views.

hours. People think my streams are long.

And then I calculated— wait, I can hear

something. I calculated that if I streamed

every day for 24 hours for a whole month

on Twitch, I would make like $1,500

because I usually make about $25 when I

stream for about 12 hours. From ad rev.

If I streamed for 24 hours, that'd be,

uh, $50 for one stream.

And then if I've streamed 30 times,

$50, so $1,500.

I should do that if I'm single again. I

would just stream, do like a subathon.

Why didn't I do this in England?

I would have been stressed out. I need

time to just sit and not talk, and then if

How can you say your channel is dead when

you have 100 live viewers? Because a

channel my size should have way more live

viewers than just 100. 100 live viewers is

what you expect from a channel that has 5K

subs. And guess what? I've only got 5K

active viewers now, so my channel is

100K active subs. 100K subs
