Ranking EVERY Secondary Weapon After Patch Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Update

video. So today we're going to be looking

at the secondary weapons in Helldivers 2

and ranking them to decide which ones are

the best for certain scenarios. So a lot

of people don't really seem to care that

much about the secondary weapons. They

think it's all about the primary weapons

and the support weapon stratagems, but

actually the secondary weapons can be very

important. Okay, so as of right now we

have 6 secondary weapons. We've got the

basic one, the Peacemaker, the Redeemer,

the Grenade Pistol, the Dagger Laser

Pistol, the Verdict, and the Senator—

probably my favorite one. Okay, so first

of all, we're gonna look at the

Peacemaker.

It is a light armor penetrating rapid-fire

pistol. It does light damage. It's not

really like a heavy weapon at all. It's

got 16 rounds, and it basically just

Shoots like that. It's good for taking

down lots of small enemies quickly, but

it's not very good for anything else. So

as you can see, we've got some enemies up

here. Yeah, it's just kind of like

shooting a BB gun, has no oomph to it,

as expected from the basic weapon.

But against these small guys, it can kill

them in a couple shots, 3 or 4 shots,

maybe one shot or 2 shots in the head.

But against anything bigger like these

guys, you're really not really going to be

able to— I mean, oh, I did kill him. But

it's kind of hard to really do any damage

with this gun. It's really kind of like a

last resort gun, which is what basically

the secondary weapons are there for. Now

I've run out of ammo, so I guess not much

else I can do. Okay, next let's have a

look at the Redeemer, the P19. Okay, so

the P19 Redeemer is basically the same as

the basic pistol, but it's very rapid

fire. Kind of like an Uzi, like this.

It's extremely rapid fire, you can empty

the entire magazine in just a few seconds.

And also the recoil is pretty funky, so

you might want to do burst shots instead

of just holding it down, otherwise you

won't hit anything. Damn, I survived that.

I don't even know what that was. This

armor is so good, gives you a 50% chance

of not dying if you took lethal damage. I

really love this armor. I really like the

Redeemer for certain enemies, like the

bugs, the Terminids, the small bugs and

ones that jump at you go down very quickly

with the Redeemer. Also the Berserkers,

the Automaton Berserkers, they go down

pretty quickly with the Redeemer as well.

So it is quite a good weapon in certain

situations. Problem is I just can't really

find anything to kill. Everywhere's empty.

Typical, isn't it? This fabricator thing's

not even spawning anything. What is going

on?

It spawns in some enemies, 2 tanks and a

Factory Strider. Yeah, I'm really gonna be

able to showcase this weapon against them.

Really useful. I nearly went

right down the hole. Oh wait, I did. Oh

no, I didn't. Oh, I don't know what to do

now. Anyway, the Redeemer, very good in

these situations when you're right in the

face with bugs and you need to get rid of

them quickly. It can literally spray

and pray at everything,

and then you fall down the endless

bottomless pit. So yeah, against Terminids

it's very good for rapidly clearing stuff.

Not many Terminid enemies can withstand a

full clip of the Redeemer. It used to be

my go-to secondary before I unlocked other

stuff. Yeah, it's pretty damn useful

weapon actually. Sometimes I preferred

using this over my primary weapon if you

needed some fast burst DPS. Can't really

beat the Redeemer. Looks pretty cool as

well, like an Uzi. Next up we have the

Grenade Pistol. 600 damage, one-shot

reload, Explosive, pretty

self-explanatory, shoots grenade. So the

grenade pistol, I don't know if you can

use it to clear holes. I guess

not. I don't even know if that's actually

a hole that can be blown. I guess it is

a hole. See if the grenade blows up the

know if it was a bug hole. I'm not sure if

you can actually blow up the bug holes

using the grenade pistol. Maybe there's

some over here. Well, this is the grenade

pistol. I actually don't want to fight

people with it yet. Can't really

do much against a Charger, it'll just

bounce off.

Oh, it's good against these guys.

Whoops, this is not good.

Oh, I killed 4 of them. I think I'm gonna

die.

out of bullets for the grenade pistol

anyway.

How am I still alive? Oh my god. Oh,

there you go. At least I get some more

rounds on the grenade pistol so I can show

you. Land on the Bile Titan, maybe. Oh,

I nearly got it. So this is the

grenade pistol. Sometimes it can be quite

good at clearing small enemies, but I

haven't really found it to be extremely

useful. You don't get many bullets with it

either. You get like 8 shots, I think. It

can be quite fun sometimes.

I keep forgetting what my, my stratagems

are.

Yeah, it's pretty good at clearing crowds

of enemies, but it's not good against

these guys, obviously.

Yeah, I give it, I give it a B rank maybe,

whatever. Okay, next secondary weapon,

we've got the Laz-7 Dagger. I just

unlocked it. I never got it before because

it seems kind of rubbish. I guess we'll

test it out. I never liked the beam

weapons. The beam weapons are always kind

of rubbish, so I'm not really expecting

much from this pistol. It's pretty rubbish

as well. Okay, let's check out

the Laz-7 7 laser pistol. Yeah,

it's just like a Sentinel drone's laser

gun. See if there's any enemies nearby.

What are those weird circle objective

things? Never seen those before. Why are

there never any enemies when I need some?

Ah, enemies over here.

God, this is rubbish. I knew it'd be

rubbish. Yeah, it took it down kind of

fast, I guess. Is it any good against

Brood Commanders?

God, it's rubbish. It overheats and then

you got to recharge it. Look at

this. Oh my God, I'd give this like an F

tier. 0 out of 10.

How's it still alive? I cut both its legs

off and it's out of ammo already.

Oh my god, what a rubbish weapon.

Whatever. Yeah, I kind of knew that

weapon's gonna be rubbish. Okay, we've got

2 left. The Verdict. Light armor

penetrating, 125 damage. Seems— sounds

pretty good. Okay, the Verdict. It's

supposed to be a pretty powerful pistol.

I think it does double the damage of the

first pistol.

It feels more oomphy, I guess. Whoa, what

was that? Oh my god,

stupid flying things. I missed every shot.

I just missed everything.

Oh my god, why are there either no enemies

or it's like a huge mob of enemies that

my pistol's not even gonna do anything

against? Try and land over here.

This gun's okay. I mean, it's like a B+.

Wait, that wasn't it. The stupid things

keep flying at me. From nowhere.

this. Okay, and the final secondary

weapon, probably my favorite, the Senator.

Medium armor penetrating. I think it's the

only secondary weapon that has medium

armor penetrating. 175 base damage is

pretty good. Okay, the final weapon,

Senator.

It usually one-shots light armored things.

Look at these getting destroyed.

Yeah, I really like it because it's kind

it does really good damage. It's not like

slow or anything, so you
