for the minions, and then you put down

land to build resources.

Same thing, same as Hearthstone. Got tank

felt like it's gone up too much to be

First, I would have made a YouTube channel

much sooner. I think people

make much more entertaining YouTubers when

have been way funnier than, um,

28-year-old me when I started, because I

was so weird. I would have stood out so

much. Plus, there would have been less

competition. So I wish I started YouTube

back in 2010, but I always felt like

there's no way I could do YouTube. I'm so

Plus, my adventures were way more exciting

and interesting. My first time in Japan,

first time having a girlfriend. I had so

much I could have vlogged about.

But if I started in 2010, that means it

would have died in like 2016.

YouTube channels usually last about 5 or 6

If you had a Tesla, you only have to

been times when I had to do 3-point turns

say, what countries have you been to?

What's your favorite food? And then they

say, I like meat. And vegetables.

And I say, what's your hobbies? And they

say, listening to music. Yeah, I went to

that meetup, didn't I, in Osaka? I talked

to 2 Japanese women and this Japanese man.

The second— the first Japanese girl was so

boring. She was cute,

but she was so boring. And we had

20 minutes. No, it was like 30 minutes.

To talk. After 15 minutes, we didn't have

anything to talk about. We're just sitting

there sipping the melted ice in our cups.

It was so awkward. I was trying to sip my

drink really slowly because I knew that

when it ran out, I wouldn't have anything

to do, like to fiddle. So I was sipping

like, and then putting it down again,

and then I ran out of drink And then I was

just sucking on the straw and

she didn't say anything. She was just like

nervously laughing. We ended up nervously

laughing. It was so bad.

Never go to those English exchange

meetups. Horrible.

So I just said, what do you do for work?

She said she's a care worker. And then she

told me a bit about being a care worker.

Oh my God, it's so awkward. And then the

second girl, she was much better. She was

more Americanized. Could tell she spent

time in America. She was really chatty,

so that was nice.

But then the meetup thing ended and she's

like, well, gonna go home now. I should

have said, can I come too? She looked way

younger than me. She looked like 21. The

Japanese man was so boring as well. He

kept going on and on about His trip to the

Malaysian jungles, and then he was showing

me pictures of this weird plant.

Never again. But the

good thing about the meetup was I met that

Canadian guy afterwards. We went to bars,

we had a good time, and that French girl

groped my armpit. I squeezed her hand.

It was hot. Sunny said she

was definitely into me.

She had her fingers up my armpit.

She was like, do you want to sing this

song with me? I said sure, so she put her

arm around me and we're duetting.

And then we were kind of like holding

hands, and I gave her hand a good squeeze.

I was so drunk. Was she

pretty? I don't remember what she looked

like. I just know she had brown hair and

it was a bit wavy. I guess she was— I

mean, I wouldn't have said no if she

offered, I guess.

But she was with a bunch of friends and

they left. Felt sad. I was too

slow to make my move.

That's the only fun thing about bars is to

meet girls, but then I kept going back to

bars after that. I went to like 4 bars 4

times more, 4 days, I think, and every

time was just boring, just guys.

I went to a, um, what's the hub with the

Canadian guy, and we ended up chatting

with this Japanese guy who was friends

with like a bunch of pickup guys.

So he brought his pickup guys over to us

and he was like, these gaijins want to

talk to Japanese girls, can you help us

out? So the pickup guy, he had like the

hair, like very nice Japanese hair. He

looked really smiley, like super smiley,

well-dressed. He just went off,

came back with a couple Japanese girls.

How did he do that? It's all about

confidence, I guess. Some guys just—

comes naturally to them.

But every time we had to go home from the

bar, It was horrible. No trains,

couldn't find those electric bikes because

by midnight all the electric bikes in and

around Umeda, they're all gone. So I had

to walk 3 and a half hours back from Umeda

until as far as I could get, until I guess

the trains start running or I could find a

bicycle. I needed to piss so badly, I just

pissed in the bush. By the bridge. The

Osaka Bridge.

I felt horrible. Dizzy, hangover, need to

piss. No trains. Horrible.

Hate bar hopping.

I can't do the bar stuff. All the other

men are so outgoing and they dance and

they chat, and I'm just standing there

like a weirdo. At one point I was

surrounded by Japanese women and I was

just standing there staring at my shoes.

Perfect opportunity. Well, I was too slow

and then Japanese guys swooped in. They

always come in pairs, the Japanese guys.

They got one guy at the table waiting,

the other guy goes to grab the girls.

They've got it down to an art form. It's

hard trying to talk to girls at bars,

especially Japanese girls, because they

don't talk to you unless you talk to them.

They make zero effort. At least European

girls, like French girls, they're

outgoing, they make conversation. All the

women I talked to were Westerners. I

talked to this British girl This British

girl and British guy from Essex came into

the bar when I was there with the Canadian

guy, and then the British girl started

talking to me, bought me a beer.

And then the other bar I went to, the

Kamasutra Karaoke Bar, which is a really

great place, highly recommend you go.

Probably the best night I ever had in

Japan. It was so fun.

That's where I met the French girl, and

she was really chatty. She kept thinking I

was Japanese.

Yeah, I was addicted to bar hopping, and

then I got kind of burnt out, got fed up.

I realized that That all Japanese bars

are not great.

You want the foreign bars, foreigner bars

where it's mostly foreigners, or like a

mixture, or bars where

there's Japanese people who want to meet

foreigners. The hub in Umeda— there's

multiple hubs, but the one I went to is

like all Japanese people and it sucked.

But there's another one I went there with

Sunny and Blood Bucket, and it was like a

mixture of foreigners and Japanese people.

It was much better.

Blood Bucket got so drunk, she was telling

everyone me and Sunny were her children.

It was funny. And then we

met this big fat Japanese guy who I think

he really fancied Sunny because he kept

like flirting with her. So I said, let's

go to the karaoke bar I went to before

because it's really great. So I dragged

them all, 4 of us went, me, Sunny, Blood

Bucket, and the fat Japanese guy. And I

dragged them all to the Kama Sutra bar.

We got there and it was packed,

completely packed full. They said,

sorry, you can't come in. So then we

walked around, ended up going back to the

Hub, and then the fat guy ordered some

chicken, and then me, Sunny, and Blood

Bucket left. What a waste of time that

was. They were so drunk.

Very hard to find a bar that's not packed

on a weekend night in Osaka.

Good memories now. Can't believe it's just

a couple months ago, all that. Feels like

it was A lifetime away now. My whole

life's changed. Got a car, got a job.
