Passive Income Ideas for 2020 (How to Make Money Online)

Hello and welcome back to a new video.

Today I'll be talking about top 5 passive

income ideas that you can do on the

internet in 2020,

or maybe even 2021. So the great

thing about the internet is it's an

excellent way to make money, and there's

just so many ways to make money on the

internet, and I thought I'd talk about a

few ways that I use to make money on the

internet. And I'm going to assume that in

the current situation in the world right

now, lots of people have been fired, they

lost their jobs, they've become

unemployed, or they just are not able to

go to work right now. And being able to

make money on the internet is kind of like

It's a bit of a privilege. I have to say

that I am very privileged, and I never

take for granted the fact that I'm able to

make money off of the internet. And it

really is just the best thing in the world

to be able to make money in your bedroom.

So first of all, we need to understand

what does passive income mean.

Non-passive income is when you do a task

and then you get paid, and when you stop

doing that task, you stop getting paid.

Passive income, on the other hand, is when

you do a task and then you carry on

getting paid forever, or for

many years at least. So I have to say, my

number one favorite way of making passive

income on the internet has to be YouTube.

So you may not think of YouTube as passive

income, but it really is because For me

personally, even videos that I've made 2

years ago, they're still making me money

even to this day. Let me show you.

So here you can see I have a screenshot of

one of my very, very old videos that I

made all the way back in 2017 talking

about how my obsession with Japan is over.

And if you look at the bottom, you can see

the estimated revenue for the past 28

days. So I've made $1.34 this

month from this 3-year-old video,

and it's been making about $1 or $2 every

month since I uploaded it 3 years ago.

And you might be thinking, $1.34 is

not much, it's not a huge amount of money.

And yes, you are correct. $1.34 coming

in every month is is a pathetically small

amount of money, but when you consider the

fact that I have hundreds and hundreds

upon hundreds of videos each making $1

or $2, sometimes even as high as $3

every month, it does start adding up.

When it comes to building passive income

streams, you have to remember that it's

not really a get-rich-quick scheme. It

takes a lot of time, a lot of patience,

many years. As the Japanese phrase goes,

many pieces of dust come together to form

a mountain. Here is another example of a

very old video from 2017. You can see it

made me a total of $0.10 this month. Now,

you might not be thinking that it's a lot

of money, but, you know, $0.10, I'll take

it. So basically the idea is you just keep

making more and more videos, and as time

goes on, you keep adding more videos to

your backlog and you get 10 cents, $1,

$2, sometimes even $5 a month,

even years after you've made the video.

I like to think of it as a steam engine,

a steam train engine that's powered by

a furnace at the front of the train, and

then you have to keep shoveling in coal

into the furnace keep the train going

forwards, and each lump of coal represents

a video, and you just keep shoveling more

of it into the fire and it will just keep

burning. The thing is, what do you do when

you run out of coal? Well, you go onto

Amazon using my Amazon Affiliates link and

you buy yourself a nice brand new bag of

coal, and then I get a tiny percentage of

the amount that it costs you to purchase

the coal. Affiliate marketing is also a

pretty good way of making passive income,

something I've realized recently. It's

really easy to set up an Amazon affiliate

account, and then all you have to do is

take your link and share it with people.

And if you use my link and buy stuff on

Amazon, I would get a very, very small

percentage of the total cost that it costs

you to buy the product. I also set up this

storefront so you can go to my storefront

and you can see the products that I use in

my day-to-day life. And if you also

purchase the products through my store, I

will get a nice fat commission fee and it

will carry on making money as long as I

keep talking about it and linking it and

promoting it, telling people about it. I

don't really have to do anything else

apart from maybe adding a few more

products to it, but it will carry on

generating money as long as people click

it and buy stuff on Amazon. On using my

affiliate link. Moving on to my next

favorite way of making passive income on

the internet has to be OnlyFans. So on

OnlyFans, you charge people a subscription

fee every month, and then you can upload

anything you want to. It can be absolutely

anything, and there's no strict guidelines

or rules telling you that you can't upload

that. And you can't show this and you

can't show that, like on YouTube. I can

just show you anything I want to on

OnlyFans, and that is basically what I do.

So here is a look at my OnlyFans profile

page. It's a really great way of making

passive income. You just take some

pictures and videos and people will carry

on purchasing those pictures and videos

for months and months and months into the

future. And as you can see, my, my page

has a total of 30 images and 8 videos

available for you to see as soon as you

sign up for a minimum of 1 month. If

really like OnlyFans because it allows me

to express myself in ways that would just

get me banned on YouTube, and people are

very nice and supportive over there.

OnlyFans is crazy because I can just go to

bed and not upload anything on my OnlyFans

profile for a week or 4

days or 5 days. I can go 5 days without

posting anything and I'm still getting new

subscribers. I'm still getting recurring

subscribers. I'm still getting people

purchasing my older messages that I sent

to them a month ago, and I think I've made

about $500 on OnlyFans in

a week without even posting or uploading

anything. My next favorite way of making

passive income on the internet in 2020

would have to be stock photography and

stock footage and stock images. So what is

stock photography? Well, there's several

websites such as shutterstock.com,

iStockphoto,

canstockphoto.com. There's tons of them.

Best one is by far Shutterstock. And all

you need is a decent camera because you

need decent quality photos for doing stock

photography, and you just take photos of

random everyday objects. For example, you

could take a photo of this tissue paper

and then just upload it as tissue paper

stock photography. If you Google stock

images of tissue paper, you'll see there's

loads and loads of them. And if you want

to purchase those images, the person who

took the photo gets a small cut. Maybe he

makes about 10 cents or 50 cents or a

dollar. And again, you might be thinking,

that's not much money. Well, the thing is,

you have to make a portfolio of thousands

and thousands, possibly even hundreds of

photos and images and artwork and

footage. And you just put this onto

multiple websites, and if each image is

getting sold for a dollar and you're

making a dollar for each image that starts

building up to quite a large amount of

money. I guess the problem with doing

this is you do have to buy a pretty good

camera because the stock photography

websites can be pretty strict when it

comes to the quality of the images and the

footage. But you just need to buy a nice

camera, and then you also need to have

ideas for photos,

and you need to be good at photography.

You have to frame it nicely, you need nice

lighting. It needs to be a really

good-looking image, professional-looking.

Can't just take a snapshot with your

phone, that's not going to be good enough.

And once you've understood the basics of

photography and taking a good

professional-looking image, you can start

building your portfolio and you'll start

racking up sales as the months go by.

Again, it's not a get-rich-quick scheme.

It's going to take years and years of

building your portfolio and waiting for

sales to come in, and then you're just

going to make maybe 50 cents every sale.

It's not going to be a huge amount, but it

will start building up to a nice amount.

And it's not just about photography. You

can also do stock footage, which is pretty

much the same as images, but you take

videos of random things like waterfall or

a flower blowing in the wind, and then you

sell that onto stock footage websites.

And you can probably make more from

footage than you can from still images.

And there's also vector imaging. So if you

don't know what vector images are, they

are kind of like, um, well, it's just

making illustrated images using some kind

of software. It can be GIMP, it can be

Photoshop, It can be Inkscape. There's

lots of different programs that allow you

to make vector images, and you, you don't

even have to be that good at drawing. You

just use your mouse and then you make

lines connect up with each other, you make

shapes, and then you can make some kind of

illustrated image. And those

sell pretty well as well. So those were my

ideas for passive income that almost

anyone can do on the internet. All you

need is a phone, a camera,

and yeah, some free time, some patience,

and maybe you can also start making some

passive income on the internet. Hope you
