why i HATE Spider-man - No Way Home - VERY disappointing

Hello, welcome back to a new movie review.

So I recently watched the new Spider-Man:

No Way Home movie, and as an avid fan of

the Spider-Man franchise and Marvel action

superhero movies in general, I just had to

watch this movie. Unfortunately, I was

very disappointed. So Spider-Man: No Way

Home kind of gave me the same feelings

that the very last Star Wars movie gave

me, where it just kind of feels like the

directors didn't know what to do with the

story. It didn't really have any original

ideas, so they just bring back all of the

old villains like they brought back

Palpatine for the last Star Wars movie.

If they had an original good idea for a

new supervillain, then surely they would

have just done that. It just feels like

very lazy scriptwriting when the best they

could come up with was just rehashing old

characters from the older movies. And they

didn't just bring back the old villains,

they also brought back the old Spider-Man

actors like Andrew Garfield and Tobey

Maguire. And the plot and the storyline is

just kind of all over the place, doesn't

really make any sense. And at the end of

the movie, I just felt like, well, that

was a big waste of time. They didn't

really achieve anything. So in the

beginning of the movie, the FBI or

whatever rounds up Peter Parker and all

his friends and family because for some

reason everyone hates Spider-Man now, and

they put them into like an interrogation

detention room, and the FBI agent asks

them some hard-hitting questions and they

just say, oh, I want my lawyer. I don't

really see the point of these scenes

because 10 minutes later they all get

released and it was like none of this even

mattered or happened. And then for the

next 40 minutes it's just Peter Parker,

MJ, and that fat third-wheel guy. They're

just whining because they can't get into

the college they wanted to because they

have such bad reputations now. I just

found it really difficult to care about

Peter Parker and his friends and his

girlfriend's future education prospects.

I also found it kind of weird that they're

all supposed to be 17-year-old high school

students when they obviously look like

they're 20-something, and I googled it and

they're all about 25 years old apart from

Ned, who looks like he's nearly 40. He

just looks way too old to be a believable

17-year-old kid. Plus, he's like the most

useless, annoying sidekick character I

have ever seen. Really, he did not need to

be in the movie at all. At all. So Peter

Parker feels guilty because his friends

can't get into university because of him,

and he feels like it's his fault. So he

goes to Doctor Strange to ask for help.

Doctor Strange suggests that he could do a

spell to make everyone forget that Peter

Parker is Spider-Man, and Peter Parker

agrees to this. But then during the spell,

as it's being cast, Peter keeps making

alterations to the spell. Then the spell

gets messed up, and somehow this teleports

all of the previous supervillains from the

older movies into the current movie,

including the older Spider-Mans. So now

Spider-Man has to go and hunt down these

supervillains that have just teleported

in, round them up, and put them into a

dungeon. At first it was kind of nice to

see these old actors make a reappearance

for nostalgic value, but it was kind of

boring because we've already seen these

villains and we know how they fight and

there's nothing new here. So Spider-Man

manages to defeat all of them pretty

easily apart from Norman Osborn who

manages to get away, and then he just zaps

them into a dungeon cell, kind of like

he's capturing Pokémon and locking them up

in a dungeon. And Doctor Strange is

waiting, he's got this magic box which

which if he presses the button, it sends

them all back to their homeworlds. But

this also means that they die because in

their homeworlds they all got defeated by

Spider-Man and they died. And Spider-Man

in the current movie, being the

goody-two-shoes that he is, makes a big

fuss about this and says, no, Doctor

Strange, we can't do that, we've got to

save them. But Doctor Strange says, no,

we gotta send them back. So Spider-Man and

Doctor Strange start having a fight to get

the box back, which is just so dumb. I

don't know why Spider-Man is so insistent

that he wants to save the supervillains.

It was just really annoying because I

don't know why he wanted to save the

supervillains so desperately. I know

Spider-Man is supposed to be like a good

guy, but come on, these villains were

responsible for so many people dying and

so much destruction, and they had all

these plans to destroy the world and take

over and all these evil things. Why the

hell would you want to save them?

Spider-Man then defeats Doctor Strange,

manages to trap him in his magic world,

and then he goes back to the villains,

sets them free, and then tries to help

them. And surprise, surprise, the evil bad

guys go back to being evil after they're

set free. Free and they turn on Peter

Parker. Norman Osborn beats the crap out

of Spider-Man whilst the others run away,

and then Auntie May dies. And as you can

imagine, Peter Parker is very sad and he

cries, but I found it very hard to feel

sorry for him because it was kind of his

fault. If he just listened to Doctor

Strange and sent them back to their

homeworlds instead of setting them free,

none of this would have happened. And then

the best bits of the movie happens.

Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, who

played the previous Spider-Men— and it was

a pretty cool moment when Andrew Garfield

and Tobey Maguire make an appearance, the

whole crowd, the audience in the cinema I

was at, started cheering and clapping,

which was quite funny. And they used this

explanation of a multiverse to be able to

justify having all of the different actors

of the different Spider-Man in one movie

altogether. I was just happy to see Tobey

Maguire again because I watched the

original Spider-Man movies when I was a

kid, and it was very nostalgic seeing his

face again. But then that's the problem

with the movie. It just felt like the

whole movie they were constantly trying to

pull on the strings of nostalgia with

these kind of gimmick And they kept kind

of making these references to the memes.

So Norman Osborn says, I'm somewhat of a

scientist myself, and Tobey Maguire

complains about his back aching, which is

a reference to the original movies when he

falls down and hurts his back. Some of the

dialogue between the different Spider-Man

actors was quite funny, and I chuckled

when Andrew Garfield was asking Tobey

Maguire if he can shoot out web from other

parts of his body. But the movie is just

full of these cheesy one-liners and lame

jokes. I wasn't really that impressed by

the jokes and the one-liners, but the

audience apparently were because they

laughed at nearly everything, every joke.

And I just thought to myself, seriously,

you find this funny? Come on. So

afterwards, the Spider-Men all team up to

take down the supervillains again for a

3rd time. And then they've got to defeat

the Electric Man and the, and the Sandman

and the Lizard Man. So they have a big

fight. Eventually the bad guys get taken

down and then Norman Osborn makes an

appearance, and Spider-Man defeats Norman

Osborn, and that's it really. They close

the portal, they send all the bad guys

back to where they're from, but the catch

is everyone forgets who Peter Parker is,

and he's got to go back to normal life,

and he doesn't have a girlfriend anymore

or a friend anymore because they all don't

know who he is. And at the end of the

movie, I just felt like it was a big waste

of time. What did they achieve? They

managed to make some of the bad guys good

again, send them back home. But he lost

his auntie, and now he lost his girlfriend

and all his friends, and, and he's all

alone in the world because no one

remembers him. It's just kind of

frustrating to think that if he just

listened to Doctor Strange in the

beginning, none of this trouble would have

happened. So in conclusion, I don't really

think it was a very good movie. I thought

some of the ideas were cool, like seeing

Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire again

was nice. But the story was very weak and

the action scenes weren't really that

amazing either. And I just don't really

like Tom Holland as Spider-Man. And I

think I'd give the movie a 4 out of 10.

Not really special. I don't think I'd go

back to watch it again, and I don't really

think I'd even recommend watching it
