DO NOT WATCH Attack on Titan Season 4 - VERY disappointing

Hello and welcome back to a new video. So

recently I've been watching the new Attack

on Titan season 4 episodes, and as an avid

fan of the Attack on Titan anime series,

I just had to make this video expressing

my concerns and my disappointment with

the recent new episodes and why I'm

worried about the season finale. I've been

a massive fan of Attack on Titan ever

since it came out 7 years ago. I watched

every single episode and I thought the

idea and the concept of the anime was

really unique and really interesting,

never done before. But unfortunately, as

time went on and as the seasons

progressed, I just felt like the magic of

the show was starting to slip away, and I

just started to find it less and less

interesting. But now that the new episodes

of part 2 of season 4 are coming out every

week, I started to feel interested in the

series again, and I started feel the hype

and excitement that I once had for Attack

on Titan again. And I've currently watched

all of the new episodes of Part 2 Season

4, and some of them were good, some of

them were bad, and some of them were just

kind of mediocre. And I'm kind of worried

now about the ending of Season 4 and the

whole show in general. I think that we

might be seeing another example of where a

show starts off really good and strong

gets kind of weak during the middle, and

then the ending is just massive

disappointment and really anticlimactic.

We've seen it in so many shows before,

like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad,

and I just feel like there's so much hype

and excitement around the series again.

I'm getting bad feelings about this

because every time this happened in the

past with other shows, the endings have

always been very disappointing and ended

up leaving the fan base extremely upset.

And this might be another example of that

that we're going to see unfold before our

very eyes. Now my thoughts on the episodes

so far are that although pretty good,

they are not quite up to my standards. I

don't really find these new episodes to be

that amazing even though they've spent so

much time to make these episodes and

they've made us wait so much time to get

the second half of season 4. These

episodes, although the action scenes are

quite cool and really amazing to watch.

They're just too far and few in between.

There's just maybe 20% fighting and then

80% of the episodes are just this

political mumbo-jumbo and kind of story

building and character development that I

don't really find very interesting. I just

found that half of the episode seems to be

dedicated to all of the political stuff,

seeing the generals and the people in

charge gathered around the table just

talking about tactics and the

ramifications of what's about to happen

and trying to figure out the motives of

certain other characters on the other

side. It was just really frustrating when

a really cool fight scene is about to

happen and you're really getting into it,

and then it cuts away from the fight scene

during the fight to some character's

dialogue or some other characters talking

about something else. Just found the

pacing of the episodes to be extremely

lackluster and very frustrating.

Sometimes it was way too slow and I just

kind of skipped ahead because I wanted to

get straight to the action, and then other

times it was way too quick and it was over

whilst I was still trying to enjoy it.

Attack on Titan is one of those shows

where they have so many plot twists in the

series, it feels like they're just having

all these plot twists for the sake of

having a plot twist to try and keep it

interesting, to try and keep the viewers

on their toes. They constantly keep coming

up with these plot twists so that point

that the story and the plot has become so

convoluted and mumbled up. I honestly

barely even understand what's going on

anymore because there's so many twists and

turns here and all these character

betrayals and side-switching and these

revelations that just come out of nowhere

that don't really make any sense. And I

feel like this problem isn't really unique

to Attack on Titan. It's a very common and

recurring problem you would find in a lot

of Japanese anime and even video games. I

think it's kind of like a Japanese

storytelling habit. A bad habit that a lot

of Japanese storytellers have is that they

start off with a really cool idea and

concept in the beginning, and as the show

or the game or the story progresses, it

just gets more and more silly. And Attack

on Titan is not really any different. The

show has used so many shock tactics to try

and surprise you and confuse you and give

you all these plot twists To the point

that anything that happens in the show now

doesn't even surprise me. Some really

major character could be killed and then I

wouldn't even be that bothered. I'd just

go, oh look, another plot twist, what a

surprise. I just feel like at this point

I'm expecting some major plot twists and

then when it eventually does happen, I'm

not really surprised or shocked by it.

It's just that when you're expecting

something to surprise you, you're kind of

anticipating it. When it eventually

happens, it's not really much of a

surprise. And at this point, I feel kind

of desensitized to Attack on Titan's way

of trying to shock the viewer. Now, even

though Attack on Titan's character

development has been praised and highly

respected and regarded in the anime

community, I feel like there is a line

that can be crossed when it comes to too

much character development. What is too

much character development? What I mean is

you've got all of these insignificant very

unimportant side characters having way too

much screen time and way too much

character development being dedicated and

devoted to them, only for them to get

killed in the next episode or in the next

10 minutes. And I just feel like they're

just doing character development for the

sake of doing character development at

this point, and it just seems kind of

redundant. And as for what I think, what I

predict, what will happen in the ending,

the finale of the series and the show as a

whole, well, I don't really want to say

because maybe I'll be wrong, but I just

feel like the show is heading in a

direction that is just going to be

ultimately kind of disappointing and very

anticlimactic. Obviously, I'm really

interested and excited to see what happens

to Eren and his character development arc,

and I guess many people are expecting a

redemption arc and hoping that he's going

to turn around and redeem himself. Then on

the flip side, that might not happen.

It's entirely possible that he just

carries on going down the route that he's

heading, and there's no happy ending, and

there's just like this feeling of, oh,

was that it? When the show finally ends,

and we all just feel really disappointed,

and we feel like we just wasted the past 7

years of our life feeling so invested,

emotionally invested in this TV show. So

those are my thoughts and impressions on

the recent episodes so far. We don't have

many episodes left until the ending is

here, and I'm sure many of us will be very

disappointed, And maybe many of us are

going to be very satisfied, and hopefully

this comes to a very satisfying conclusion

to what has been quite a very interesting

and epic anime that will go down in the

history of classic and legendary animes

alongside with Death Note and Naruto and

Bleach. But let me know what you think in

current episodes up until now a 4.2 out of

10. I hope things are going to build up

and start picking up pace as the final

part of the series progresses, but the

ramp-up and the beginning of the episodes

has been very slow so far, and I just feel

a bit— I'm starting to feel a little bit
