I went to the same school as CHRIS BROAD (Abroad in Japan)-2

Guys, you know, um, hey guys, so you know there's— I'm not sure if you know about it, but there's a fairly popular YouTube channel that goes by the name of Abroad in Japan, and it's about a British guy. It's run by a British guy who lives in Japan, and he makes videos about Japan. No, it's not me.

His channel is a lot bigger, a lot better than mine is. Anyway, so there's a guy who runs this channel called Chris Broad, and yesterday I found out something. Very interesting. I found out that I actually went to the same school as Chris did. And I know it sounds hard to believe, it sounds like I'm just making

this up, but I swear, I promise that this is a true story. And I'm going to explain to you how I found out that I went to school with Chris bloody Broad. So it all started yesterday when I was doing a livestream, and I thought it'd be fun if I go onto Facebook and looked up people that

I used to go to school with. And I found this girl. I won't say her name, but I found this girl, and I remember punching her on her arm for some reason back in school when I was about 8 or 9 years old. So I added her as a friend on Facebook, and I apologized for punching her.

And surprisingly, she replied to me. I really wasn't expecting a reply from her, and she replied saying, oh my god, I don't remember this. And then I replied, I didn't think you would. We went to Sutton Valence Primary together. And I was a bit curious to see if this person, this girl, had any other friends that I

knew from school on her friends list. So did some snooping around on her friends list, and guess who I found on her bloody friends list? None other than the one and only Chris Bloody Broad, right there on her friends list. I couldn't believe it. I was so shocked and surprised. At first I thought maybe she's just a

fan of his YouTube channel. Maybe she's interested in Japan and she just happened to also watch Abroad in Japan and she followed his public Facebook page. So I decided to go and click on Chris's Facebook page, and I noticed under the Friends tab it says 1 mutual, and that's because this girl that I knew from school, she

accepted my Facebook friend request, and we're friends on Facebook now. That's why it says 1 mutual, and that means that this girl isn't just following Chris's Facebook page. They're actually friends on Facebook. Now, you might be thinking, Daniel, just because they're Facebook friends doesn't mean they know each other in real life, and I totally understand that, but

I don't think that's the case because, as you can see, I also added Chris as a friend, some time ago, and he ignored me because he doesn't know me. I think that Chris doesn't actually add people as friends on Facebook unless he knows them personally. So I went back onto Facebook Messenger and I asked her, by the

way, why are you friends with Chris Broad? Do you know him personally? And she replied with, I know you fell in the pond while we were looking for newts. And that's something that happened to me in primary school. We were doing something about nature and wildlife, and we had a pond at the school. And I stepped on

a wobbly rock and I fell into the pond. I was drenched. I had to strip naked and change my clothing, and it was really embarrassing. And for some reason, everyone seems to remember me for that, as the kid who fell into the pond. And then, surprisingly, she said, I used to live round the corner from him. Why?

I was really surprised that she remembered me because I had never spoken to her during school. The only interaction I had with her was when I punched her arm. So I was really surprised that she remembered me, and I was surprised that she remembered the whole falling into the pond thing. Anyway, I said to her, you remember

me? Holy shit! And she replied, of course. And then I said, I can't believe you knew Chris Broad. And she said, why? So I thought maybe she didn't know he had a huge YouTube channel, and I said, he's a huge YouTuber now. And then she said, I know, he's in Japan, isn't he? Now, this is where the

conversation gets really interesting. She said, he went to the same school, and I asked, secondary school? Because I thought she was talking about secondary school. I went to the same primary school as this girl, but I went to a different secondary school, and I thought maybe she knew him from secondary school. But then she says, I thought

we went to the same primary school. His mum used to childmind me. So Chris Broad's mum used to look after this girl that I punched in primary school, which I think is pretty funny. And then I said, he He went to the same school as us? Sus and Valence in the same year? And then she said, no,

he's a year or two younger. Which is true, because if you go onto Famous Birthdays and you look up Chris Broad, it says he was born in 1990. I was born in 1989, so I'm guessing he might have been in the year below me. I didn't know any of the kids from the year below me. I remember

all the kids from my year, but the other years, I don't remember any of the kids. I had a best friend when I was a kid. He lived next to my house, and he was actually a year below me, and we went to the same school. So he might have been in the same class as Chris Broad.

Unfortunately, he won't reply to my messages on Facebook. I'm not sure why. Maybe he doesn't remember who I am, which is kind of unbelievable because he used to come over to my house nearly every single day. Maybe he's still upset because one day we were playing snooker and he beat me, so I got really upset and I

hit him in the face with the snooker cue. I'm really sorry. It would be really interesting if Ricky sent me a reply and then told me that He knew Chris personally and he was friends with him. And if Chris wasn't in Ricky's class— am I crazy? Are their palm trees greener than ours? They're just thirstier. Class, then

maybe he was in the year below Ricky, in Ricky's sister's class. Anyway, back to the girl that I punched. So I asked her, he went to Sutton Valence? This is so weird. And then she said, I'm sure he did. I got to only know him because he was a neighbor. Random, huh? And she said she used to

live in Langley. Now, if you don't know, I used to live in Sutton Valence when I was a kid, and Langley is pretty much right next to Sutton Valence. It's the next village. As you can see from this map, the green pin is where I used to live, Sutton Valence, and then the black one above it, Sutton

Valence School, is the primary school I used to go to. And Langley is at the top, and that's where Chris Broad grew up. That's where he used to live, and He went to the same school as me and that girl that I punched went to. I think that's— that is really weird. Just the thought that I used

to go to the same primary school as Chris Bloody Broad did is just so strange. I must have seen him or walked past him every day when I went to school, and I didn't even know who he would become. I might have even touched him once or twice by accident. To think that I might have even had

physical contact with the one and only Chris Bloody Broad. Just baffles me. I can't believe how much of a coincidence it is. I still, I still can't even believe it's true. How, how can this be happening? So I did a bit more snooping around on Chris's Facebook page, and it says that he actually went to Maidstone Grammar

School. I went to Maidstone Jobcentre. Maidstone is actually the closest town to me, to my house back home in England, and I used to go there all the time. Maidstone Grammar School is a pretty decent school in Kent, and I couldn't get into it because I wasn't smart enough, and I had to go to a different shitty

secondary school. But I do know someone who also went to Maidstone Grammar School. I had this friend, one of my other best friends, called Ben, who also went to Sutton Valence Primary School, and I know that he went to Maidstone Grammar School. So I hit Ben up on Facebook, sent him a Facebook friend request, and he accepted,

and we had a little chat. I asked him, you went to Maidstone Grammar School, didn't you? And then he said, yeah, I did, and you went to Cornwallis? And then I said, I was wondering if you knew someone there called Chris Broad? At MGS. And then he said, no, I only knew a Chris Broom. So I explained

to Ben that Chris is a YouTuber, and I said, oh, he's a YouTuber, and I found out he went to Maidstone Grammar, and I was wondering if you knew him. And then Ben said, all right, send me a link to his channel and I'll see if I recognize him. So I sent him a link to Abroad in

Japan, and, um, amazingly Ben said, oh, I do recognize him. Don't think I ever spoke to him though. I don't remember him from primary. And that's because Ben was in my year, so I don't think Ben would have remembered any of the other kids from the other years either. So he also said, no, I've never seen it

before. So Ben has never seen Chris's YouTube channel before, which is understandable if you're not really interested in Japan and you don't really watch much YouTube, then why would you know about Abroad in Japan? But he says he recognizes Chris from, from Maidstone Grammar School. I think that's really funny. I also asked if the girl that I

punched in primary school— I asked her, did you and Chris hang out as kids? And she said, he was also a neighbor and went to the same secondary school. Yes, we did as kids. And I asked her if she went to Cornwallis Secondary School, and she said yes. And this is another coincidence because I actually also went

to Cornwallis Secondary School, but I only went there for half a year and then my granddad died. And my dad decided to move us into my granddad's house. Unfortunately, my granddad's house was a bit further away from the Cornwallis, and my dad changed me to a different school. So even if somehow she was wrong about Chris going

to Sutton Valence Primary School, he went to Cornwallis, and I also went to Cornwallis. What if my granddad didn't die? What if he died 5 years later and we never moved house and I continued going to Cornwallis? I could— maybe I could have gotten to know Kris. Maybe me and Kris could have been best friends. We could

have been best mates! We would have had so much in common. We both love Japan, we both love traveling. It would have been great! We would hang out, go for beers. Maybe me, Natsuki, and Kris, we could go to pachinko together. Hey Kris! I was your childhood friend! We went to the same school! We actually went to

2 schools together! That technically makes us friends. Can I have a shoutout please? Please? Plea—

Oh, and you know what else is a strange coincidence? It says he also went to the University of Kent, Canterbury. Do you know where Victoria used to live? Canterbury! And she also went to the University of Kent, Canterbury. Victoria is the same age as me, maybe slightly younger. What if she was in the same year as Chris

Broad was at university? So what if What if Kris Broad knows Victoria personally? Everything's connected. This can't just be purely coincidence. All the dots, they're lining up, and it's all connected.
