They're just irritating problems that

wouldn't have existed if I had— well, if I

had known that this was going to happen,

then— well, that's the case with

everything, isn't it? Hindsight is 20/20.

So this whole moving out thing and

standing on my 2 feet thing, I feel like

it's going to be much harder than I

thought it was going to be.

So there were certain things, expenses I

wasn't really pricing in,

like council tax and income tax.

I forgot you had to pay council tax.

And council tax is like between

£1,500 and can go up to £2,000

depending on how big the property is.

So that's like £200 to £300 a month or

maybe £120 a month. And then I forgot

I'm going to have to pay bills like

electricity, internet if I get wired

internet, which I guess I will.

There's so many expenses I didn't think

about.

I'm probably going to have to get a job

that doesn't involve driving because

trying to find a place to rent where I

could plug in my car is really difficult.

Basically, you need a big house with its

own land or you need like a driveway.

Trying to get— trying to rent a house that

has a driveway, it's hard.

And also the houses that have a driveway

are big houses like 2, 3 bedroom houses.

They're going to be in council tax band C,

which is I think £2,500

a year. So now

I'm thinking if I

want a house that I can charge my car,

it's going to be expensive because it's a

house and it's going to have a higher

council tax band. So maybe it's not worth

having a house. Just so you can charge

your car and then just charge at the

public chargers. So it's like either you

pay money at the public chargers or you

pay money for the luxury of charging your

car at home. And now I'm really regretting

getting my car. I should

have just got a cheap car. I'm screwed.

I don't know what to do with the car. It

is really financially crippling me to have

to pay £200 a month for the next 4 years.

And I'm not getting any of the benefits or

perks from having an electric vehicle

because I can't charge it. I gotta go to a

public charger and then it costs exactly

the same as petrol diesel. I paid another

£15 today just to drive about 100

miles because I had to go and do a

viewing. At a place and the viewing was

about 35 miles

away. So I fully charged my car and

then I've got to drive back here, which is

like 10 miles away. So I've already lost

10 miles just going from the charger back

to here. It's a nightmare.

I'm having to— every time I go out, I've

got to charge my car and it's costing me

like £15. Every day it's costing me £15

because I live so— I mean,

I'm staying this place that is,

it's like 40 to 50 miles away from the

places I'm looking at. So I'll go 50 miles

there and then come 50 miles back. That's

like half my battery. My car only does

about 190 miles max, and that's with

everything off. So I can only— I mean,

100 miles is like half the battery. To

charge half the battery is about £15. So

every time I go out, this place is so big,

it's like really big and spread out. This

place I'm in, everything is like far

apart from each other. So I have to do at

least 100 miles to get to a place and then

get back home. Oh my

God. And I'm freezing,

and I've run out of wood. I've only got

one log left, and I still got 2 days left

here, and I'm not buying more wood. I

burned all the wood.

Move in with Sunny? What, with her mum?

I'm sure 3 people living in a house that

size would be so good.

So I got 2 job— I don't

know if you call them interviews. Like,

one is like a training session, and then

the other one is I gotta go into the store

and then, I don't know, fill out an

application. I don't know why I can't do

that over the internet. Maybe I'll just

get the job straight away. That's why they

said come into the store. They are both

driving jobs. Problem with that

is if I'm going to be doing driving jobs

in my car, it's probably going to cost me

£15 a day,

which is like £500 a month,

£450 a month if I'm driving every day.

I'm gonna use at least half the battery.

I'm gonna use like quarter of the battery

just to get there. So £450

a month just on charging.

I don't think petrol diesel will be any

cheaper, but the point is it would be you

would own the car and the car would only

cost about £5K instead of costing nearly

£20K. My car cost £19,000.

In total to own it,

and it's not any cheaper to run or operate

than like a £5K petrol diesel SUV.

Renegotiate with the dealership? Yeah,

that's what I'm thinking. I don't know

now. I really, I really feel like I

screwed myself with this car.

Also, the balloon payment of £5,600.

Where am I even going to get £5,600 from

if I'm living paycheck to paycheck?

I don't know if I can even save up £5,000.

When I was living at my mum's house, uh,

doing Amazon Flex, it worked out great.

It was only costing me about £60 a month

to charge it. 7 pence per kilowatt home

charging rates. Um, but I can't find

a place where I can park the car

and charge it, so I'm having to do 85

pence per kilowatt charging at public

chargers. I charged at the McDonald's

today. I sat in front of the McDonald's

for about half an hour with my Uber Eats

on and I got about 5 pings. I didn't

take any because I wasn't going to work.

I was just testing the— how active it was.

I got about 4 McDonald's and 1 Subway in

this little town that's near me.

jobs. Yeah, that's why I'm looking at

other delivery jobs now, because I don't

know if I can rely on Uber. I'm going to

do Uber tomorrow, like a proper Uber day,

So today I went to view this cottage.

So basically it's a cottage on someone's

land and it costs about £850

a month rent.

It's not furnished. It's got nothing in it

apart from— I think it's got an oven.

That's it. So it's got no fridge, it's got

no bed, it's got no chairs, no sofas, no

tables, it's got no kitchen appliances,

no TV, it's got no washing machine,

so I don't know how to do laundry.

It looked okay, it was a pretty nice area,

very countryside. It's like a one-bedroom

self-contained detached building,

which I like. But the parking space,

I don't think I can park my car near the

building to charge it. So I don't think I

can charge at the building.

And they're only looking for a 6-month

rental period. So I thought I

could just get the 6-month rental thing

and then I'll have a reference for next

But the thing is,

so I get there and there's already a

couple viewing it, this man and a woman

and this other woman. I don't know who the

second woman was, but there was 2 women

and a man and they were being shown

around. They were talking to the real

estate woman and I was just like walking

around looking by myself whilst I waited.

So they are my competition. I don't know

if the landlord's gonna pick them over me

because they probably have reliable income

that they can prove. They've probably got

past references.

The only thing I'm banking on is maybe

they don't like it because they need to

get a washing machine, they need to get

this and that. I don't care, I'll just

grab anything I can get. I'll wash my

clothes in the sink. So I said to

the woman, I don't have a reference.

Is there something we can negotiate? I

said, I'll be willing to pay upfront the

rent. And then she said— they emailed

me back after the viewing— my Manchester

reference? Oh, I don't think it'd be a

good idea to use them as a reference.

I was not— I did not leave that place on

good terms, and they threatened legal

action against me because I vlogged inside

of their office. Remember I strapped

my GoPro on when I gave them back the keys

and I put it on YouTube? They sent me an

email telling me to take it down. Yeah,

let's pretend that never happened.

So she said the reference thing might— the

reference thing is not that important

considering I'm a first-time renter. So

what they're going to do instead is do a

credit score check, which I'm fine with

because I've got a perfect credit score.

I've got like 980. Excellent band.

But they're going to do an income check.

Now I'm kind of worried.

My last 4 months of income was really

good, but my last 12 months of income was

probably only about £19,000.

And it seems like the thumb of rule is

they want you to be earning 2.5 times

whatever the rent is. So if you're looking

to rent a place, it's like £800 or £900 a

month. They want you to be earning £29,000

in a year. That's insane. I've never made

£29,000 a year since probably 2018

when my channel was bigger.

So how can I prove to them that I've made

£29,000 when I haven't made £29,000?

So I don't know. The only other option is

get a guarantor. I think my mum would

agree to being a guarantor, but my mum

doesn't make much money. She's a retired

pensioner. She makes like $16K a year off

pensions and savings, but she owns a house

and she's probably got good credit score

because she doesn't use credit cards. So

I'm hoping like last ditch resort, I got

to bring my mum out. And say, can my— I

did ask her at the viewing, I said, could

my mum be a guarantor? She said that's

definitely a possibility.

So I don't know, I don't think offering

the 6 months upfront is really going to

help me because they said they're going to

do the income checks anyway, and if I pass

those, I won't have to pay upfront. Yeah,

but what if I pay upfront? Then I won't

have to pass the stupid checks. It's only

a 6-month tenancy. Why can't I just give

them all the money at once and then they

don't have to do stupid checks? Oh, it's

so dumb, isn't it? You only do the checks

to make sure that the person is reliable.

I already got all the money. I'll just

give you the money now. Just let me move

in. So silly. So I

had another viewing booked for tomorrow,

but they canceled on me. It was a house

with a garage and everything. And then I

got another viewing for a house on Friday.

Yeah, I got a house viewing on Friday.

It's like a 3-bedroom house. It doesn't

have a driveway, but it has like a little

space in front of the house where you can

park your car. So maybe

that would be a good option too before I

choose the one I went to today. I think I

would prefer the house. It's basically the

same price. It's like £25 more expensive,

and it's also council tax band C, which is

going to be like £2,000 £1,500 a year,

so I don't know how I'm gonna pay for

that. But at least I'll have 3 bedrooms

and I have a place I might be able to plug

my car in if I can get it close enough to

the window. Or if I get like an extension

cord, I might be able to plug my car in

and that could save me hundreds.

You can send money through Wise with your

credit card. Yeah, I just found that out

yesterday. I downloaded Wise, linked up my

credit card, and yeah, I was able to

withdraw £10 out of my credit card and

send it to myself. So I didn't know you

could do that. You can't do that on

Revolut. It says credit card deposits not

allowed. So yeah, Wise— now I can just

credit card myself £7,000 and there's

going to be like a £150 fee. But if that's

my last— that's going to be my last

resort, then I'll have to just pay the

fee.

Basically, you want to move closer to

Sunny. Well, it's like a mixture

of, yeah, I need to be closer to Sunny

because she's not going to move to Kent,

and I don't really know how the

relationship would have continued if I

stayed in Kent and she stayed here. So I

was like, I've got to choose between my

mum and Sunny, basically.

So I chose Sunny. Because I don't really

want to— I mean, I never planned on living

with my mum forever,

but it's not like I'm gonna move in right

down the street of Sunny. So if I'm within

like an hour's drive away, that's fine,

but I should try and get a place that's

So then I started looking at houses that

are worth about £100K. I found this

abandoned derelict house. It costs

£100,000. Pretty big piece of land,

but it's got no windows. All the doors are

boarded up. Probably it's about to

collapse any moment. But yeah, if you put

down a £10K deposit, you could probably

get a mortgage on that place.

Yeah, I don't know about buying a place.

Yeah. And then she started saying annoying

things again, like, now you know how

difficult it is without your mum.

All I asked you was to clean the dishes.

And then we got into like an argument

again. I said that you didn't just ask me

that. You were being rude and horrible.

And then I said, I already do wash the

dishes. And I said, you leave all the

sugar spilled all over the kitchen top and

you don't clean Pushkin's dried food on

the floor, and I don't complain about it

and I clean it up. So we kind of had

like a little mini text argument.

mortgage. I did the Nationwide Mortgage

Checker, and they approved me for £80,000.

Just a soft check. I don't know if it

would actually go through if I kept going

Buying versus renting,

because the houses are pretty cheap here.

You get one for like £150,000, £200,000,

and then you just need a 5 or 10% deposit,

and then you just pay mortgage instead of

paying rent. I mean, I thought if

you rent, you don't have to worry about

stuff like bills and council tax, but you

do. So what extra

payments are you making if you pay

mortgage instead of paying rent?

I think it kind of sucks you got to pay

council tax when I don't even own the

property and I'm just renting. That should

be built into the rent, or that should be

the landlord's responsibility. It's so

stupid.

Whenever Cami is on stream, she's never as

bad as you make it out to be. Yeah, well,

obviously she's not going to do that in

front of the stream when she knows the

camera's running. If I had secret cameras

running, you'd see a whole different side

Something I'm realizing with my car thing

is things change.

Life changes suddenly and unexpectedly.

And then even though the car seemed like a

good idea in my previous life, things just

changed and now it's not very good.

And I'm a bit annoyed. You know, I've,

I've spent £5,000 on my car so far. I've

made 5 payments and I've paid £4,000

deposit. I've put about

£5,200 equity into my car

and I've got another £13,000 to go. If I

had just bought a £5K diesel

SUV, I would own the car outright. I

wouldn't have to make the monthly payments

anymore, the £200 a month. I wouldn't have

to pay such high insurance because it

would be like a crappy old car, not Not a

new car with new tech. So the insurance

would probably just be like £50 a month.

I wouldn't need charging at home, I'd just

buy petrol. And also I'd probably be able

to do like 500 miles on one tank without

having to charge every day.

Yeah, I wanted an electric car because I

thought I'd save money from being able to

charge at home, and I was gonna get a

delivery job and I didn't know I was going

to get banned on Amazon Flex.

Old diesel repair could be $5K to $10K any

moment. Yeah, I have heard of stuff like

that. People buy an old used car and then

a month later they're paying thousands for

repairs. There is a risk.

That is, that risk is kind of eliminated

by having an EV because EVs are just less

likely to break down because they don't

have all those components, and also it's a

newer car. So yeah, I don't know, it's

really hard to tell. What if I got the £5K

car and then it needed some kind of

maintenance that cost me thousands?

But it's not going to cost me £13,000

worth, is it?

It's really hard to tell.

But there's also other downsides of the EV

that I've realized, like when it's

freezing cold, if you have the heating on,

the battery drains really quickly.

And sitting at the charging place for like

30 to 40 minutes every time you need to go

somewhere a bit far away is so annoying.

Especially if you've got passengers and

then you feel kind of bad because they're

like, you got to make them wait with you

now and they're bored. You want to get to

a place and then you go, oh, you got to

sit in the car park half an hour. Sorry

about that. It's just really annoying.

So I've booked, I've booked a hotel for

Saturday because I've got to leave this

place on Saturday. I booked another place

for 5 nights. It's like,

it's like a

self-contained building on the side of

someone's house and they live there. So

they're basically just kind of renting out

a portion of the property.

But they said when I, when I booked it, I

was going to ask when I get there, but

they already just sent me a message saying

unfortunately you cannot charge EVs at the

property even with an extension

cable. So maybe they've had people try and

do it before and it spiked their energy

bill, so they're not happy with it. So

yeah, I can't do that, which is fine

I guess, but this new place is

like £360 for the 5 nights.

So yeah, I really hope I get the place

that I saw today. They said to me— they

gave me a bunch of info like the gas bill

was £50, no washing

machine. Please let us know

yeah, I want to rent it. So yeah,

I don't know, the landlord's probably

gonna have to look through the

Why would he pick me over like a normal

couple who are gonna live there together

feel very lucky about this.

where they did pass the reference and

income checks than the person who has

never rented before and can't pass the

income check, wouldn't you?

It's just silly because I offered to pay

all the money up front, so why do you need

the checks? Also, I'm just one

person. I just got one car. Very low

maintenance person.

situation, the Mali government have now

seized the gold from the mine in Mali and

they've taken it to their holdings. So

it's not looking good. But according to

AI, Barrick Gold had a similar problem

back in 2017 with the government of

Tanzania. Similar problem where they

didn't pay enough tax or something. And

then the Tanzanian government got mad and

it was a 2-year process where they

basically just seized gold and shut down

the mine. And Barrick Gold stock tanked in

2017. But after about 2 years,

they came to an agreement and

they resolved the situation. And then the

stock surged like 30%. So this

Mali situation started back in 2023. So

it's been about 2 years now, this problem.

If they can come to an agreement sometime

this year, and resolve the whole thing,

the stock could surge because it's all

priced in already. All this gold seizure,

it's all priced into stock already. So my

thinking is it took

2 years last time to solve that problem.

Also, I don't think I need huge amounts of

money upfront. That's not really the

problem. The problem is going to be

Because if they're saying,

well, then what's the point of me offering

to pay the rent upfront if I still need to

pass income checks? And I pass it, then I

would rather not pay all the money upfront

That's a lot of money.

for my YouTube channel and some PayPals.

So with a full-time job working Monday to

Friday, 40 hours a week, I might be able

to make nearly £3,000, £2,800.

And then the £1,700 expenses, I would have

£1,000 left over disposable. So the

thing is, I don't want to just live

paycheck to paycheck. I want to be able to

put money into my savings. Or my stock

portfolio.

But it's going to be hard.

What if I did part-time, 25 hours a week,

minimum wage? That'd be $1,200 plus my

YouTube money, make about $2K.

I really screwed up getting that electric

car. I could have bought 4 diesel

Land Rovers for £19,000.

You can do about 2 hours driving and then

you got to charge it. So even if we

wanted to drive to the— imagine trying to

drive to the Alps in my car. You would

have to make 15 stops to do 650

miles. You'd have to stop like 15 times.

Probably I would. I'd have to stop 3 times

to charge just to get to Dover. Dover's

like 300 miles away. I can only do about

120 miles motorway speeds before

I need to charge. So I have to charge like

3 times before getting to Dover. You get a

diesel car like an SUV, you can only do

like 600 miles on one tank.

I don't know what to do with it.

I could cancel the contract once I've paid

50% and give the car back. That means I

will have paid £7k for nothing and have

nothing to show for it. But on the plus

side, I won't have to pay the remaining

£12,000.

And then I won't have a car anymore, and I

don't have enough— I mean, I could put it

on the credit card and get like a £6k

banger. Big tank diesel SUV,

big fat boot. Because I'm thinking if I

get this place that I saw today and I need

to buy furniture when I move, I need

to carry my furniture. I don't think my

Peugeot is big enough to carry like a desk

and a fridge and an air— I need to get an

air fryer as well because I nearly burnt

the kitchen down. This stupid oven. I hate

ovens. I put chicken strips in the oven

and I put it at 200 degrees, opened the

oven door. All this steam came out mixed

with a bit of smoke and it triggered the

smoke alarm. Hire a van for

hundreds of pounds.

Sunny said she could stay with me for like

a third of the month and she would give me

some money for rent, which could be like

$200 a month because— oh yeah, she got a

job. She went to an interview and she got

the job. So she's pretty happy with that

part-time job. It's good to

cut your losses if you truly won't get

future value out of it. I mean, this car

saga won't end. I need a car. I'm living

in the sticks, basically. I'm living in

like the middle of nowhere. It takes

nearly an hour to get anywhere. I

definitely can't survive without a car.

I'm just saying I would if I could get rid

of my current car and just get a normal

SUV diesel car or even petrol.

The thing I noticed here, I barely see

anyone driving an EV here. In Kent,

I saw EVs everywhere. I saw Teslas

everywhere. I've only seen one Tesla since

I got here. Everyone's driving like a 4x4

pickup truck. Why do I need an SUV?

Well, number one, they got big tanks so

they can do like 600 miles in one go.

Number 2, they're more comfortable. And

number 3, I could carry more stuff when I

have to move out. Because if, if I'm gonna

get a place, nearly all these places are

unfurnished. It seems like no matter what,

I'm gonna have to buy furniture. And then

when I move out, because the one I looked

at today is only a 6-month rental period,

um, I will have to be able to transport my

stuff or pay a van to transport it for me,

which is kind of silly.

bought the car if you can change it for a

petrol version or something. They are

usually quite flexible. You will lose a

you work Monday to Friday every day, 9 to

So I did some calculations.

If I made £50 a day doing Uber Eats,

that's £1,500. I've already minus the

charging because I would say I'd work to

make £80 and then minus like £25 for

charging and insurance. So say £50,

that's £1,500 net.

A month, plus my YouTube, £720-ish,

plus some PayPal, £100. So let's say

I make £2,300 a month,

and then I minus my £400, my car payments

and my monitor and my LiveU Solo. I minus

council tax, £125. I minus food,

say £150. I minus Rent,

£870 or whatever.

Then you've got minus bills, so that could

be like £120 plus internet. I've only got

£600 left after 12 years.

If I save the £600, I would be able to

save £7,700.

And half of that, I mean, all of that

would go to income tax and then fucking

council tax. The council tax would be

£2,500. £5K left. And then income tax

would be like, probably like £3,000. I'd

only have £2,000 left. After doing

that for a year, I only have 2,000

left to play with or invest with or save.

Now I see how people get stuck in their

own country and they can't leave it,

because to survive you need to pay all

this stuff, but then you got

nothing left over.

Yeah, I guess the only reason I was able

to go to Japan and mess around, stay there

for years, was because I could always just

come home and live for free. And I could

always just save up all my money and not

have to make payments on stuff and

just put it all towards going overseas and

buying a plane ticket.

But the thing is, like, you think, oh wow,

my life sucks now, I've got to make all

these payments and I'm stuck here. Yeah,

well, the thing, even if I got rid of

everything, like just ditched everything

and then moved to Asia, I'd still be in

the same problem, being broke, trying to

live off £800 a month,

trying to find a place to live that's not

going to be very nice. It's like you jump

out of one boiling pot and then you jump

straight into a different one.

I really screwed up with the car. I would

have an extra £200 a month to play with if

it wasn't for the car. I don't

know, I think I just stick with the car

since I've already paid 40% of it.

I keep twitching. My nose keeps twitching

in the same place.

It was funny because when me and Sunny got

here, before he got here, we did some

shopping and we stopped at this petrol

station and I wanted to buy coffee and

some sugar. I didn't see that they had

sugar, so I got sweeteners, you know, the

little clicky sweeteners. So I bought it,

paid for it, and then Sunny was like, why

didn't you get sugar? They've got sugar

here. And then she, she said, let's refund

the sweetener. So we went back to the

cashier. The cashier was foreign. I don't

know where he's from. He kind of looked

Nepalese, but he was so rude. Sunny did

all the talking and she was like,

could we refund the sweeteners? We didn't

see that there was sugar. And he was like,

yeah, you didn't see because you didn't

look. It's not a very big shop, you know.

Next time you got to look properly. He

sounded just like my mum. What is wrong

with foreigners? It's like third world

foreigners speak so damn rudely. Oh,

properly. That's why you didn't see the

sugar. I know maybe he's joking, but it

just sounds so rude. I was like, oh my

God, shut the fuck up. Just give us a damn

refund and give me the sugar. You're not

He seemed— he had like the same demeanor

like the Nepalese guy too. Like, you know,

actually annoyed. At the customers, even

Yeah, Nepalese English skills are pretty

good. They don't really have a thick

accent. They've got pretty good grammar.

But to be fair, my Malaysian relatives all

speak really good English as well. They

all speak better English than my mum,

which I don't understand why, because my

mum's been living here for 30 years and

they live in Malaysia. I don't know how

their English is better.

You made me realize electric cars suck and

gas cars are superior. Well, yeah, I

realized it too now. Electric cars are

only good if you've got your own house

with a driveway and you can plug it in and

you don't do 100, 200-mile trips.

If you, if you know exactly what you're

doing in life and you've got a house and

you're not— your life situation isn't

changing every 6 months, then I think

electric car would be great. But you can't

beat the versatility of a normal car that

doesn't rely on needing a driveway or a

big house with land on it.

You got a bad EV? Well, I did look at the

Tesla Superchargers and they do seem

cheaper than the normal chargers. The

charger I use is called Insta— something

like Instavolt. And I use Gridserve, and

they charge about 85 pence per kilowatt.

The Tesla Superchargers cost 61 pence per

kilowatt, or 51 pence per kilowatt if

you sign up as a member. But the Tesla

Supercharger is really far away, and I

tried to use it last time. I couldn't

figure out how to, and I felt stupid.

There's no— I went on the app, there's no

button to add to your car. I think I added

a payment method. I think you've got to

click on the map, choose the Supercharger,

go there, and then click on the post that

you're at, and then, I don't know, go from

there. The problem is the one me and Sunny

got stuck at, it had Superchargers, but

those Superchargers weren't on the Tesla

Supercharger map for some reason. You

know, on the map it's like a red lightning

icon. It didn't have the icon,

so I don't know how you're supposed to use

it. And the Tesla Supercharger chargers

don't have a screen on it, so you

need to use the app.

And the insurance for a Tesla would be

insane. It would be like double what I'm

paying now. Yeah,

why don't I just get a van? It would solve

all the problems.

The battery technology is just not good

enough, and the charging

infrastructure is kind of getting there,

but it's too expensive. What's the point
