I like being weird_different

Hey, and welcome back to a new video where

I'm getting blinded by the sun. So if

you've been watching my videos for a while

now, I think you would agree with me when

I say I'm a bit of a weird person. I have

strange views on pretty much everything.

I think I'd describe my personality as

being extremely nonconformist. If there's

something that's really popular or

mainstream, I feel automatically repulsed

and disinterested in it. You know how

teenagers have that phase when they're

really rebellious and they don't listen to

anyone? I'm still in that phase. It hasn't

ended. I feel like I have absolutely no

interest in most of the things that most

people like. For example, mainstream

music, sports, fashion, cars,

celebrities, going clubbing, hairstyles,

clothing, music. Did I already say music?

I feel like I have this natural urge to

rebel and go against everything that

people consider to be normal and that's

popular. I feel like it's really boring to

be like everyone else. I want to be

unique. I want to be me. I want to be

individual. I want to stand out. I want to

be a special snowflake. The main reason

why I have this haircut and I wear the

clothes that I wear is because I don't

want to look like everyone else. I enjoy

looking different. I really can't stand

things like tradition or culture or

religion or cultural rituals, stuff like

that. For me, the concept of religion is

completely crazy. I can never understand

why people would voluntarily let other

people dictate how they live their own

lives. When I think of religion, I imagine

a bunch of guys thousands of years ago

gathering in a room and going, Hey, let's

create some characters we'll call one God

and one Jesus, and we'll create a load of

crazy stories about how they created the

world, and we'll also create a load of

rules that people have to obey, otherwise

they'll go to hell, and then we'll write

it all into a book, and we'll get everyone

to blindly follow everything we say whilst

we become insanely rich and powerful.

Sounds amazing, right? The same thing goes

for marriage. Hey, let's create this thing

called marriage where we get people to

sign a contract, wear a piece of metal

around their fingers, prove how much they

love each other. It'll be a special

contract making sure people don't cheat on

each other and they don't have romantic

relationships with other people, and

they'll stay together forever. But then

people cheat on each other and they get

divorced anyway, so it's kind of

pointless. Christmas: you have to

celebrate the birth of this fictitious

character by buying each other presents

and putting a fake plastic tree in your

house. Valentine's Day: prove how much you

love your girlfriend by buying her a piece

of card, giving her some chocolates on

this specific day in February. Easter.

Let's celebrate Easter by buying gigantic

chocolate eggs. What the hell is Easter

anyway? And don't even get me started on

Pancake Day, Mother's Day, and Father's

Day. What about Daniel Day? How about we

declare Daniel Day as the 31st of March,

today, and we can all celebrate the

existence of Daniel by giving our loved

ones chocolate-coated cards covered in

chlamydia. And one of the things I don't

like about Asian culture is their

conformist behavior, their lack of

individuality, their kind of hive mind way

of thinking, kind of like ants in a colony

working for the greater good. I lived in

South Korea for about a year, and I swear

everyone looks the same. I'm not talking

about their faces, I'm talking about

fashion and hairstyles. In Korea, the men

have 2 hairstyles: the Mr. Spock K-pop

hairstyle and the really short military

buzzcut-style hairstyle. During the whole

time I lived in South Korea, I don't think

there's one time I saw a Korean guy with

long hair. 80% of them have the exact same

haircut. And in Japan, they have that

ridiculous phrase, the nail that sticks

out gets hammered down, which I absolutely

hate that phrase. I think that if a nail

is sticking out, you shouldn't hammer it

down, you should put it out and give it

its own special place. In a mental illness

hospital. Now if you're from the

r/happiest subreddit, you might be

surprised to hear me say this, but I

actually enjoy being mixed race because I

look different to everyone else. I

actually enjoy looking different to

everyone else. It makes me feel special.

When I do come across someone who looks

like me, I actually feel kind of irritated

and embarrassed. How dare you look like

me? How dare you steal my look? I'm the

only person in the world who's allowed to

look like this. This is why I'd absolutely

hate having an identical twin. I'd be

like, hey identical twin, how dare you

steal my identity? If I had an identical

twin, I think I would end up murdering him

and burying him in the back garden. Or I

might end up feeling really attracted to

him and we'd have some kind of sick

twisted incestuous relationship.

Everywhere I go I look different to

people. English people think I look really

Asian and Asian people think I look really

Western. If there was a country in

existence where the people looked like me,

I would never go there. If this was

caveman times and we were living in a

tribe, I'd be like, screw you guys, I'm

leaving, and then I'd wander off into the

forest and then get eaten by a bear. Some

people might say I lack in common sense,

but I see it as My idea of common sense is

different to your idea of common sense.

Why would you be proud of the fact that

your way of thinking is the same as

everyone else? Look at how many German

people supported Hitler during World War

2. Look at how many people thought that

owning slaves and the slave trade was okay

just a few hundred years ago. Just because

the majority of people think one way

doesn't mean it's the correct way of

thinking. I don't believe there's such a

thing as a correct way of thinking. I

believe that there's different ways of

thinking. I don't believe in right or

wrong either. Everything's subjective.

What might be wrong for one group of

people might be right for another group of

people. Even when I played World of

Warcraft, which I was addicted to for

nearly 2 years, I used to play as a Feral

Druid because they were the weakest class

and no one else wanted to play as them.

Everyone else were playing Rogues and

Hunters and Warriors because they were the

strongest classes, and I didn't want to be

the same as everyone else. Everyone used

to make fun of me. They used to say, why

are you playing as a Feral Druid? They're

the weakest, they're rubbish, they're

crap. And I said, no, I'm the only Feral

Druid on the entire server. I feel

special, I'm unique. Don't take that away

from me. Back in vanilla World of

Warcraft, the Druid could do basically

everything that all the other classes

could do, but not as well. So it was like

a shit version of all the other classes

rolled into one shit class. And the way I

used to think about it was, even if you

beat me in PvP, it's not much to be proud

of, it's not much to brag about, because

you just beat the shittest class, the

weakest class in World of Warcraft. But if

I beat you, then you just got beaten by

the weakest class in World of Warcraft.

If you fought me in PvP, there's no way

you could come out of the fight looking

good. I can't stand being told what to do

or how to live my life. If people start

telling me or giving me advice on how I

should live my life, I automatically

reject anything they say, even if what

they say makes sense and sounds kind of

reasonable. I feel like what might work

for other people won't work for me because

I'm different and I need to find my own

way in life. I need to find my own path,

and I feel like the only way I can find

that path is by trying out various things

by myself, doing my own thing, and not

letting myself be pushed into a direction

that I don't want to go into by other
