And then you can hear like a hitting sound like this. And I was saying she keeps hitting me. And then she's saying in Japanese, stop telling people I'm hitting you. It doesn't even hurt. And then you can hear her still hitting me. <laugh>. Uh, I, I remember that day now. It was really stressful. I was just playing Minecraft and chatting and then she, she was all moody.

I really need to prepare, get myself a kettle and some snacks put in my room. It didn't used to be like this. They didn't used to have people over all the time. Last year wasn't this bad. Every bloody week someone's coming and I can't complain 'cause I had Mila staying here for like two months. I, so I just have to shut my mouth still. Oh my God. I hate it when I wanna go down to the kitchen and make a coffee and a sandwich. And then there's this risk of a stranger starting to talk to me. I I don't wanna talk to anyone. I do my best resting bitch face to try and stop people approaching me like this.

I can't have a shower 'cause there's no hot water Again, stupid people, um, installed a brand new heating system which is connected to the hot water and every two weeks it goes wrong and they have to come back and fix it. And the heating and the hot water are connected. So one of the radiators is leaking and if it starts leaking, it loses air pressure. And when there's no air pressure, the hot water doesn't get pumped. So I had a shower yesterday, but the water started going cold after a few minutes. So I didn't have a long shower. Had to have a quick one. And today I didn't have any shower. My four skin's getting cheesy. Do you know how bad my four skin smells if I don't wash? It smells like a cheeser. I've got this hole in my ear as well. You probably can't see it. I've got this very tiny hole in the cartilage of my ear. And then if you press <laugh>, if you press it, white stuff comes out and it smells like cheese. So I have to clean it all the time. I dunno why I've got this hole here. I think I've had it since I was a baby.

I Googled it and then it seems like a lot of people think it's a bad idea to do sub-only live streams after they've finished because I don't know, is it a bad idea? They say if someone's new to your channel, they're not gonna pay you a sub to find out what your content is about. So then you're gonna kill your growth if you try and charge people to watch your finished live streams unless they find the channel when you're actually live, live streaming. And I thought that makes sense. But then how many people are finding my channel anyway? I don't feel like anyone on Twitch finds me. I feel like everyone knows me from YouTube and they came here because I linked my Twitch on YouTube and then my, my stream content isn't so amazing that people should have to pay to watch it. But then I wanted to give it as like a reward to people who do sub.

And I thought maybe some people would pay to be able to see the old streams. I'm not sure. So I thought I'd I'd turn it off for now. So you don't have to pay to see, I think most people who sub they, they would sub anyway because they would, they want to not because they feel like they have to, to watch the archived stuff. Dunno, I just, I wanted like an incentive for people to sub otherwise what's the point of subbing if you don't get anything out of it as a viewer? Not sure

It is weird. It seems like it works pretty well on the computer but when I try and use stream labs on my phone to stream, it's really problematic. But on the computer it works fine. And I'm using a wireless wifi receiver USB wifi receiver on my computer. Have I tried looking for a Malaysian girlfriend? No. Most Malaysian girls are not pretty. The only Malaysian girls that are are kind of pretty, are the Chinese Malaysian ones. But the Malay Malaysians are all, all Muslim and they all have the headscarf. And their names start with s and m. Who knows? They're from Canada. Come on. No one knows it. S the guy's name starts with an S and the girl's name starts with an M And they used to live in Korea. And then they moved to Japan and they changed it to Simon and Martina. Martina left a massive comment. It took me three screenshots to screenshot the entire comment.

Most challenging year of my entire life. I'm sure a lot of you can say the same thing as well, but that's not a bad thing. If things are easy, it's a big one. Probably my, it's the best version of myself that I, that doesn't sound right.

Foreign other foreigners get visas in Japan so easily just because they're white. I think they triggered her <laugh>. Um, basically she said,

Hello Martina here. Or should I say Martin or whatever. I think I said something like Martin Martina or whatever, something I can't remember. Uh, it was absolute hell to get a business visa in Korea as two white Canadians with no spousal visa to help us to coast on in. We had to hire a Korean lawyer in order to even apply as an official business. The paperwork was overwhelming. YouTube was not a thing back then. So no fancy visa or company to back us. And immigration did not even believe we were opening a legit business as YouTuber did not exist yet in Korea. We returned week after week being rejected and told to get something to prove it. Anyone can open a small business with the paperwork, but it costs $50,000 to apply. We took a small loan, we took out a loan in Canada and wired it across Korea because we had to prove we had money in the account. Put back into the economy, you had to spend money on the business within a certain amount of time.

Our incredible audience helped us fundraise money, which ended up covering our key money deposit on the studio and a bit for renovations. But we recovered the rest of the cost. We paid staff and we had to pay rent, electric, gas to different places. On top of that, we were producing over seven segments a week. Simon and I wrote all the scripts, made all the music. I designed all the merchandise, ran the shop and we also ran our clothing store out of the studio, which means we packed everything on our own. It was exhausting getting deals with Kia, Airbnb on our own, fighting against Korean companies. K-pop fans calling immigration on us because we dissed them. The the things. But we pushed on while also being in the videos. We did tons of presentations for the Korean government and Japanese government about the benefits of opening their doors to foreign YouTubers.

And you think we just strolled in Japan? Hello, I'm a white woman, give me a visa my friend. We were flying in and out of Korea to Japan, back and forth, meeting companies in Japan, taking the Shing sand from Osaka to Tokyo meeting and proposing deals. We just weren't announcing it to everybody. So yeah, it, it is a hell of a lot of work to get a visa if you aren't a student, aren't married to someone in the country, don't have the education required. It's like they just live anywhere they want to first they live in Korea for 10 years and then they get bored of Korea and they go, oh we are bored of Korea now let's go move to Japan. Living in Japan for years and years, how do these people get their visas? How come I don't get a visa now? I don't have a spouse visa. I don't really know how I can stay in Japan long term. So I've got a tiny head. Can you do a country review going through all the countries you don't like? I was gonna do one about why I don't like China, but I think it would get all political and I'd probably get demonetized and it might even be racist sounding. I need some harmless nonpolitical things to complain about. I could say I, I wouldn't like China because they banned YouTube and Google and Facebook my favorite websites and they support and advocate dictatorships. No, I get demonetized. It's a bit of a risk because if the video goes viral then um, I'm gonna get in trouble. And then if it doesn't go viral, then what's the point? I got a lot, a lot of hate for the why hate Japan video, but nothing really happened. Do I regret investing in stocks? Um, not really. I regret not not selling when I was up. When you're up like 50% you should sell because there's a higher chance that it's gonna drop than going up even more. Go invest investing and then getting gains of 50% is amazing. 50% gains are not, not normal unless you're taking on massive risk. I didn't realize that. I thought, oh, 50% gains, I want 1000% gains.

I'm not selling. Or you should sell some to reduce your, your risk. Like if it goes up a hundred percent, then sell half. So at least you've taken some out. The problem is I was trying to be like Warren Buffet where you're, I wanted to be like him not selling and trying to find good companies. I thought the companies I invested in were good, but they were only going up so much because there were massive hype stocks. Not because they're actually amazing companies like Neo, they're an okay company, but they only sell a couple thousand cars. They're just, they were just completely hyped up with the whole EV stocks. So I should have sold at the peak and <affirmative> and realize that Neo should not be trading at above $60 per share. That's just insane. It's gonna crash. And it did, but people were like, oh, I'm gonna hold Neo for five years. It's gonna be $200 stock. Yeah, but I don't wanna wait five years. I want it now. So I kind of, I feel fed up with trying to find out about companies. 'cause it feels like it doesn't matter if it's a good or bad company. There's great companies and no one cares about them because there's no hype and there's no momentum. And then there's companies that don't even sell anything yet and they're trading at crazy, crazy valuations

And they haven't even made a profit. It's just based all off of hype. So my main bets right now is Bitcoin. I've got a third of my money in Bitcoin's mining stocks. And if that goes up 20% I'm selling, I'm gonna wait for the pullback. I've got a third in Bitcoin stuff. I've got a third in oil banks and retail stocks like value stocks, boomer stocks. And then the other third is in like a mixture of copy trades and arc invest. So I need to completely redesign my STR strategy. What's the value of my portfolio? It's about probably 30,000. Yeah, about 30,000 down from about 45,000. What did I lose most of my money on? I lost most of it on BNGO, which is a genomics gene editing company. And I lost a lot on MicroVision. I had 20 20,000 pounds in BNGO and MicroVision. And when the correction happened, they went down by about 40% and I kept buying the dip, but every week it was dipping lower and lower. And then I ended up selling all of it and then putting the remaining money into Bitcoin stuff and banks and oil stuff and some dividend stuff,

Which are very stable. I got 15% gain on the bank stocks. Bank stocks are doing really well now, but the, the tech stuff and the speculation stuff are still kind of up and down.

I feel so stupid for not taking the money. Just imagine I could have had 15,000 pounds in gains. I got greedy because it seems so easy. And then you think, oh, I'm not gonna sell until I have 20,000 in gains. I want to get a hundred thousand this year, I'm not setting. And then you lose it all got greedy. But people say March is usually the worst month. The worst month in the year. So March is over now. Next week is the first week of April for trading. So hopefully things start going up again. Hopefully the correction has finished. But next rally, next time it goes, starts going up. I heard that September is also a bad month historically. So I'm gonna try and get some gains and then start pulling out at the end of summer. Last year, September, just before I started investing, there was a pretty big correction. I can't make an o how much do I want to make? I think about 10,000 would be good. If I could make 10,000 for this year, I would, I would stop, um, taking on so much risk to put it into something safer.

Don't day trade, I wasn't day trading. I was, I was buying and then selling after a couple weeks or a month. But this time if I get gains, I'm not gonna put it back into the same stuff. I'm gonna put it into something stable. But right now it's just really boring because it just, it doesn't go anywhere. Have I ever thought about starting over on a different YouTube account? Sometimes. But it's just, it takes such a long time to grow a channel to the point where you can monetize it. And if I had such great ideas to grow a new channel, I'd be doing them already on my current channel. And the problem is I don't have any ideas. Did I delete drawing in my room? No, I still have it but I set all the videos to private just in case it is. It's very difficult starting a channel from zero. Unless you have a a good idea or you're really determined to make, I don't know, an A SMR channel or something, you're willing to put in the hard work to make a load of videos.

You really have to think of it as like a business. So you'd probably prepare 20 videos first and they could be a SMR or some kind of theme. Then you gotta make the channel, think of the branding, think of the channel name, do all the SEO stuff so your channel ranks and then you've got to actually build an audience so you get to the point where you can put ads onto it and then you've got somehow market your channel. I know how Zach Joy did it. He just went around all these other channels and spammed at the comments he was, you could find Zach Choi in every comment section that had an Asian guy in it. So he was just going onto every channel where it was either an Asian guy or food related. And then he'd somehow get his comment straight to the top and he would just comment something like, great video looks amazing. And then somehow his comment was always at the top. And then his channel you could clearly see his face that he's Asian. So people who are into Asian guys would be like, wow, who's Zach Troy? And then his channel name is obviously Zach Choy asmr. So you know what you're gonna get just without even clicking on his channel. You know it's gonna be an Asian guy and a SMR

But I was all on stuff like Tesla and Neo and these hype stocks. I don't really know where to put it now. Yeah, I bought Tesla back when it was $400 before the s and p inclusion and then I sold it around six 50. Should have held onto it. I, I thought it would peak at around six 50 but it went up to 800. Now I'm mainly in crypto mining stocks. Not the actual crypto but stuff like Riot and Mara, I have a lot of money in them. And then the other half is mostly in um, tobacco stocks, <laugh> and bank stocks and oil. And they're doing quite well. Plus they give dividends but they go up very slowly but spare than crashing 10% all the time. The tobacco stock did really well. Altria now every time the NASDAQ starts tanking or all of the retail stocks like Coca-Cola, tobacco, what else? You know, stores that sell a physical product, those kind of stocks start going up. So I thought maybe I should have some of those to like hedge against the NASDAQ crashing. It's worked out quite well. It's not really up by much, but it's better than nothing.

Who really smokes. Yeah, it's weird because there's all this data that says there's less smoking but the Altria stocks still doing well. Plus they're moving into the, they're gonna move into the cannabis area once it gets the legalized. I think they, they've bought out some kind of cannabis weed stock or they have like a big ownership in it. But they got, they got into a lot of trouble 'cause they had that JUUL vaping thing and apparently they got sued because it was too popular with kids and it was like promoting vaping to kids and they all this legal fines they had to pay. So they ended up making a loss. I won't hold onto it long, probably just a few months, but I feel like it's a safer place to put your money into than NASDAQ stocks right now.

Uh, I don't really have any ideas. What else, what can I do? What's gonna be big? Right now my strategy is just have buy everything and then sell when something goes up. So I have bits in oil bit in banks, a bit in tobacco, a bit in tech. So I guess it is kind of like an ETF if I diversify so much I have to see what happens in April. Yeah, she didn't know anything about pop culture and films. You know what I noticed? A lot of girls hate a Lord of the Rings. My sister always says it's really boring. My sister went to see The Hobbit with a friend in the cinema. She said she fell asleep during the movie. It was so boring. But I love The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
