Elden Ring Hand-to-Hand combat - How to Build a ICE FISTS Monk Build (Shadow of the Erdtree Build)

Welcome back to a new video. So today I

want to show you my Ice Frost Dry Leaf

Arts hand-to-hand combat build in Shadow

of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring. So as

you can see, we're going to be using the

Divine Beast Frost Stomp. This is a really

powerful frost ice Ash of War that can

basically one-shot nearly all of the trash

mobs and two-shot some of the heavier

enemies, and it's really good combined

with magic, or like it INT build. So I've

got an INT strength build here, and it

really scales well with the frost and

magic attacks on the Dryleaf Hearts. And

you can stagger them basically between

every hit. It staggers them and

does magical damage, so it's pretty

powerful. I'll show you how the build

works after I basically one-shot these

guys. Watch this. Oh, one-shot him!

2-shot him. So he does like a follow-up

attack as they stay in the icicles. It

will do another second bit of damage. And

we're going for a kind of heavy armor,

medium to heavy armor, just so we don't

get destroyed, because sometimes you do

take a few hits. So this guy takes 2

stomps. Well, it would have if you didn't

block it. So yeah, that's the build.

Pretty good for one-shotting things.

And then this guy, watch this.

Pretty powerful, as you can see.

So for the build, we have the Ash of War

Divine Beast Frost Stomp with magic

affinity. Now you could put cold, but I

found it does more damage with magic

because magic was scale better with INT.

Cold scales with INT as well, but it does

slightly less damage in exchange for the

cold frostbite buildup, which is a

different way of playing, but you do less

damage. So the talismans went for Shard of

Alexander, Godfrey Icon, Ritual Sword

Talisman, and obviously Shattered Stone

Talisman, which increases potency of

kicking and stomping skills. And we've got

the Magic Shrouding cracked here for the

Wondrous Flask, so that's all to buff our

magical damage. And then we also have

Golden Vow. Now you could get Magic

Scorpion Seal for the Magic Scorpion Charm

for the talisman, but I don't have that

because I got locked out of the quest. I

would have to do a new game to be able to

get that, but that would be nice. I think

it's like 15% damage for magic damage, so

you can one-shot these guys. See, it does

slightly less damage if you go for cold

instead of magic. Oh,

that keeps happening. The hell?

Another good cold build for the Dry Leaf

Arts is if you go for the Palm Blast and

this time you put cold or magic onto it.

Uh, it also is pretty good for frost

buildup, so put cold onto it and

now it's going to apply cold damage as

well as doing really good damage. So you

do flask, Golden Vow,

you can probably do like 7 to 8k damage.

What's this?

Oh, 7k damage and knocked him off the

edge. Now I'm gonna knock him off the

edge, my revenge. Nearly.

So the cold does this.

So after about 5 hits, they'll go white—

means they've built up frostbite damage.

They usually die when it triggers, so it's

only useful against enemies with higher

amounts of health because these ones just

die too quickly. Watch this, one-shot him.

Palm Blast does way more damage than Frost

Stomp skills, so you

do end up being trapped using it.

See if we can get frostbite on this guy.

See, look, the frostbite staggers them.

He was about to do that golden slam

Is he still like that?

Oh, oh, he got me! That was close. Now if

you go this side, you got these little

guys here. I don't know why I'm running so

Oh, it's 2,

and then there should be a red guy up

here. So you just

go and fight him. He'll shoot some fire

at you, and then do that,

and then do a second palm blast before he

gets up. He'll try and block it.

Oh, he nearly got me.

And then you heal up,

and then you can go up here.

Imagine getting kicked in the face with

those pointy plated boots. That would

hurt. I don't know what these specimens

are. What's all this?

Wow, this build's so good.

Amazing.

These stupid elevators, they're so deep.

It takes ages to pull them up and go down

them.

Can't they move a bit faster? Like double

the speed? He's standing here watching him

go down a stupid elevator.

I think the big jar things are here.

Could test out the damage. Ah, you can't

trip me this time. Oh, you got me.

It's weird, frostbite's not proccing.

They love hiding enemies behind corners,

don't they, in this game?

Oh my god.

Stupid jump scares.

These enemies take more damage, it's more

fun to test out on these guys maybe. And

then you got this kind of hospital area.

I guess this is where they stuff— they

stuff the meat into the jars. That's so

If he grabs me, I'm dead.

Uh, imagine the smell.

Why are they stuffing meat into a jar?
