I was at the junction, like a T-junction.

That's me, and then there's like this main

road and I was waiting to pull out into

the main road and I was looking left and

right. I look left, I see a car coming

indicating right, so obviously the,

the oncoming car is gonna turn around me

like that, isn't he? But for some reason I

thought he was gonna turn in on my

left-hand side, so I pull out into

the road and

then I suddenly realized and I start to

stop, but then the instructor says just go

and I said I thought he was gonna pull in

on, on my left-hand side, which would make

no sense because we drive on the left,

not on the right. I have no idea why I did

that. Obviously he was going to drive in

front of me and then turn in, wouldn't he?

But apart from that, Monday went pretty

well. Oh, this other thing happened where

he said pull up somewhere safe on the

right side of the road, and there was a

car behind me, and for some reason I just

slowed down and I let the car behind me

overtake so I could find somewhere to

park. But he said I wasn't supposed to do

that because when I'm on my bicycle,

if I'm gonna do anything like turning,

first I stop and I pull to the side and

I let any cars behind me overtake. I'm not

gonna pull out in front of a car on a

bicycle. But I forget that I'm in a car

and I can't really do that. So I

was supposed to carry on driving forwards,

and then when I find somewhere safe on the

right, then I indicate right and then I

just pull over and I don't care about

what's behind me. I'm not supposed to let

her overtake,

but it seems so obvious after it happens.

It's just when he says pull over somewhere

safe on the right, I just want to pull

over straight away as soon as possible.

And it wasn't even somewhere safe, it was

on a bend. So it was like a bend, we're

going around on a bend, and I slowed down

on the bend. I made the person behind me

overtake on the bend.

I was so confused, I didn't know what to

do. It never happened before because every

other time he said pull over There was

nothing behind me. Can I change

gears? Yeah, changing gears is easy.

I thought driving a car would be difficult

because it's manual, but really all of the

problems I'm having, it wouldn't really

make any difference if I was in automatic.

It's not, it's not like a gear clutch

problem I'm having. It's just, I don't

know, making stupid mistakes for weird

reasons.

And then today, I didn't really feel good

about today. A lot of things didn't go

well.

I can't remember now. Everything's like a

but I was in the left lane instead of the

And he was going, why no mirrors? Why no

indicating? I don't know, there's too much

going on. I can't, I can't deal with it.

There's all these people coming out of

nowhere and all these sudden turns.

We're only on this— we turn into this road

and then like 30 seconds it's already a

roundabout and I've got to check mirrors

and I've got to indicate and I've got to

change gear and then I've got to turn and

then I've got to check the other mirrors

and then I've got to change gear. Oh my

straight after that one, and he said take

the first left, so I indicate left, enter

the roundabout, and then I exited on the

And then he said I'm not looking far ahead

to see hazards, but I am seeing them.

It's just I'm not really reacting to them

until I get a bit closer.

It's like he said, he says, didn't you

see, didn't you see the truck parked on

the side? I did see it.

Well, sometimes I brake too late when the

traffic light's red. I see it's red,

obviously, but I'm thinking, oh, I should

get closer to it first before braking.

But then he says I've got to brake

earlier, and then I start braking, then

I'm braking too soon, or I indicate too

soon, so I try indicating later, then I'm

indicating too late. Oh my God,

I'm getting all the timing wrong. It's

like really frustrating me.

I don't really think any of this matters

for the test because I've watched a lot of

mock exams and no one ever gets a fail

because they didn't brake at the perfect

timing. As long as you're not gonna cause

danger,

it's just frustrating.

Or there was like, um, there was a bus

lane to my left and then the bus lane

finished, so I was changing lane back into

the left lane, but then I think half the

car went over the solid white line. He

said that would have been a fail.

So many damn things going on all at once.

I'm just wondering if I had my own car and

my mum was next to me, would, would it be

better or would it be less stressful?

I kind of regret saying yes to going to

Malaysia now. I don't know, I kind of want

to go, but then I also just want to do my

driving stuff.

So now I've got to go all the way to

London, sit around in airport for hours

and hours, sit on a plane for 12 or 13

hours, sit in a taxi or whatever for

more hours.

Hopefully it'll be okay. I have to go now,

And I booked a hotel in

London to stay because

there's all these train strikes happening

this week, and it means the roads are

going to be more busy because people now

have to use cars and buses because they

can't use the trains. So it'd be kind of

a hotel for one night for me and my mum.

Malaysia, I was completely thinking about

to Malaysia and then I'll think about

staying there for a few months, and then

I'll go to South Korea and then wait for

completely out the window now. For some

reason, I started to just get interested

in driving. I think it's because I started

going on dates with this English girl,

and I thought, actually, yeah, it would be

nice if I could drive. And then I became

really obsessed with driving, and I've

been taking lessons every week. And now

the idea of just traveling and randomly

traveling to different countries just

really bores me now. What am I going to do

if I go to a different country? I'll just

sit there bored in a hotel. Whining about

being lonely.

So I feel like I'd rather stay at home and

focus on my driving right now,

but it's too late now. If I could go back

in time, maybe I would have said no and

just stayed at home, but I wanted to go

today's my 7th lesson and they've been 2

right and I reverse, the front of the car

it was like that line of questioning. We

were going round in circles for about five

minutes.

need the driving instructor to do a test.

I can book a driving test whenever I want

to and you can just go there in your own

car. You can get— you can buy your own car

and all you need is someone to come with

you who has the license. So I could get my

mum to sit in the passenger seat and then

you just put the L plates on the front and

back and then you need like an extendable

mirror for the examiner so he can see

what's out the back.

first few lessons, he did have to grab my

center right to go out, then I've got to

check center left to swing back in.

So I see the car in front, I've got center

right look and then steer right, and then

center left look and then steer left.

This feels so unnecessary.

night by myself.

because he won't let me use his car. My

mum won't let me use her car. So I'm not

sure what kind of car to get. I've been

thinking of either— I really want to get a

Tesla, but the cheapest Tesla I could find

was £36,000. I currently have £26,000,

so I'm £10,000 short. At my current

earnings, it will take me about 8 months

for it since I don't have a proper job,

and I did the soft check and they said

they wouldn't— they say I have a low

chance of being accepted, but I've got

a 747 credit score. I don't know what that

means, but it's good. Then I don't know

It's just if I bought a really expensive

car, I feel kind of stupid driving it when

I don't know what I'm doing. And then if I

damage it, I'd be so scared of damaging

So it's really hard to stall.

It's a lot harder to stall the diesel for

some reason, which is probably why I

haven't really stalled it much. I think I

stalled it once today because I

was slowing down and I was just kind of

slow having the clutch back down to go

back into first, and I was in second and I

was going a bit too slow. But I've not

once had any problems starting from

traffic lights and stalling it, which kept

happening when I was 18 when I first took

lessons. I kept stalling it at the traffic

lights. It was really embarrassing, but I

don't have that problem anymore. I'm

actually pretty good at starting and going

off. I can get that biting point really

good, and I'm pretty good at clutch

control. Like, if I see a load of traffic

in front of me, and I know I'm gonna slow

down, I just let go of the gas, put a bit

of brake, start slowing down, and then

instead of just stopping, I put some

clutch control and I just kind of creep

along. I'm pretty good at that, I think.

But then I stalled it pretty badly on this

one hill last week because I was doing the

clutch control creeping up and then the

lights go green, I lift up the clutch,

but I didn't have enough gas because it

was like a really steep hill And then the

engine just went pfft pfft pfft and then

died. And then I tried restarting it and

then it died again and I was panicking.

So he had to help me out there. So he

made— then he made me go back round it to

go back up. And then the second time I did

it easy. I just had to floor the gas

because the hill was so steep. It was like

a really steep hill. So I had to put loads

of gas. Once I knew that, it was pretty

easy. To do it again.

Does it mean Japan is over? I'm not sure.

It's just right now I'm very focused on

driving and The

appeal of going to Japan is just— I'm not

really seeing the appeal anymore apart

from going to Tobita Shinchi and having

sex with some hot Japanese girls for 15

I can go to Japan, I can have sex with
