Korean pork and tofu spicy stew

Hello and welcome to my new Airbnb.

I'll give you a quick spin. This isn't

really an Airbnb tour video. I'll save

that for the next video. Anyway, um,

today or tonight or this evening,

I'll be trying pork

and kimchi stew, Korean stew,

from the convenience store. Now, I don't

really like this table setup. It's too

narrow. I have to sit here. Like this,

and I feel kind of squashed. So I'm

thinking about moving the table like

and then I could pull it this way.

See, isn't that better? I've got a proper

Huh, sometimes I feel like I'm pretty

clever.

Okay, so before I get this meal ready,

um, tonight's actually the night that I'm

supposed to be meeting this Japanese girl,

and I just finished making the video for

the main channel explaining the whole

situation. But I feel like everyone's

gonna say it's fake, fake content.

Everyone's gonna say that I'm just making

stuff up because it sounds like such a

stupid story, doesn't it? Oh yeah,

23-year-old Japanese girl is coming all

the way to Korea to see me and meet me and

do you know what. Yeah, as if that's

actually gonna happen. In what crazy world

is that actually gonna happen? So I'm a

bit worried about uploading it to the main

channel because People already think I

make stuff up, and this isn't really going

to make me look good, is it? It's gonna

make me look like I'm just making up more

stuff. But it's such an interesting story

that's happening to me right now. But I'm

getting cold feet. The whole thing's so

suspicious, and she's supposed to be

arriving at 1 AM. I think she said 1 AM.

Can't be 1 AM. How can it be so late? She

said she'll get here just before the

last train leaves, so she won't be able to

get the last train. She'll have to get the

midnight bus, and then that'll take an

hour to get here.

And I don't think there's going to be many

people around the station at 1 AM. What if

something happens? What if there's a guy

with her and they attack me or something,

or they start doing something weird. What

if my wife's with her and it's just some

kind of elaborate prank to trick me? I

don't know, I feel so paranoid right now.

I'm actually thinking about canceling—

well, not canceling, I'm thinking about

asking her to meet me tomorrow during the

day. She's only going to be here for 2

days according to her plan, so it would

have been nice if she could have come

straight here. But meeting a complete

stranger in the middle of the night with

no one around, and I don't even know if

she's genuine or not. Even if I asked her

to take a photo at the train station, you

never know, there could be a guy behind

the camera or at her side where you can't

see him, out of shot. What should

I do? I mean, is it really worth putting

myself in danger just for one night of you

know what? It would be nice if she came

though. Anyway, so how do I get rid—

get this ready? I think I'll have

Yeah, so this is what it looks like. Oh,

What the hell? The whole thing's in a

plastic bag. This is not what I was

expecting. This is not appet—

what the hell is this? This is my dinner.

This is all I have apart from this

chocolate and a lollipop.

I can't believe this is my dinner. Look at

the picture. That's the picture. This is

what it looks like. A load of orange goo.

Hopefully I have scissors. Um,

this Airbnb has no knife, no scissors.

Well, I can't find any knives. There's a

knife rack, no knife. There's a frying

pan. Are you telling me I have to buy my

own knife? What a joke!

What's this? Tiny fork.

This is empty. There's a can

opener. Nothing.

Nothing. No knife.

Unbelievable.

Whoa! That's fire.

Yeah, I don't have a kitchen knife and I

don't have any scissors.

A bit disappointed.

No, nothing up there. Oh, come on. Oh,

oh, oh, I'm so stupid. Look, it's this

massive red thing. Oh, there is a knife.

It's this yellow thing. It's a bit small.

Scissors. Okay.

Oh, I didn't even need scissors. You can

just tear it open. So first I'm going to

squeeze all the liquid out the top so it

doesn't spill, and then we tear it off.

And let's give it a smell.

Oh, it smells like kimchi. It kind of

looks like someone puked into a plastic

bag. Look at that.

Oh, there you go, your dinner served.

How appetizing.

Oh, look at the orange juice. I've noticed

a lot of Korean food is orange. I think

they just love the color orange. Squeeze

the rest out. It looks okay, I guess.

It's not much. There's like 2 pieces of

tofu, 5 pieces

of kimchi, and there's like 2 pieces of

pork. Look, there's the pork.

I feel like I'm living on army rations.

Uh, get rid of that.

What a rip-off. I can't believe— how much

did this cost? It cost about 3,000

won, which is about $3. For $3, I could

have bought a big tub of tofu,

a tub of kimchi. I couldn't buy any pork.

I'd probably buy some sausages maybe and

make a massive meal out of it. Instead, I

just got this tiny pathetic thing.

Anyway, into the microwave.

How do you open it?

Oh, you press the button. That's weird.

Ouch, I keep hitting my knees and my legs

on things. So what do you think about

the Japanese girl? Maybe I should ghost

her. Maybe I should say, sorry, I don't

feel like it's safe to meet up tonight.

Would you be able to meet me tomorrow?

But then I feel bad. She's gonna have to

get a hotel last minute.

I just have a bad feeling about this.

Come on, Daniel, use your brain. It's not

a good idea to meet someone at 1:00 a.m.

people. What if she does something weird?

Oh, I just don't trust her. I feel like

this is a big prank. Look at these skills.

I'm just very disappointed with how much

spicy. I'm not very good at eating spicy

food.

I guess. It's just kimchi and tofu.

Where's the meat? Oh no, the meat has

disappeared and turned into these

very tiny lumps. Oh, here it is. Here's

one of the lumps of meat.

This is not a good meal. I would not buy

this again. Definitely not.

I can't even pick it up.

I don't understand why people like spicy

food. It hurts. It's giving me pain,

not pleasure. It's not spicy in your

mouth. It's when you swallow it, it makes

you want to choke. It's like when you

accidentally breathe in a tiny piece of

black pepper and it makes you choke.

It's really nice until you swallow it.

Oh, it's like swallowing a tiny

ball of needles.

I, I'll never understand why people like

spicy food. It's just weird. I mean, the

food's going to taste the same even if

it's not spicy.

It just won't hurt you.

It was so difficult getting into this

Airbnb. I came up and on the instructions

it said press the button and then enter

the number, but it was like this weird

digital keypad and the numbers didn't show

up. And I was pressing the circle button

as many times as I could, nothing

happened. So I had to walk all the way

back to the train station to get internet

Wi-Fi and then message the Airbnb

person. She said press the elongated

silver button. I didn't know what she was

talking about. There was only one circle

button, but there was actually this thin

silver strip above the circle, and that

was the button you had to press, not the

circle one. They could have made it a bit

more obvious that it's a button. It didn't

even look like a button. It just looked

like a piece of the keypad.

So you press that and then the digital

buttons appear, and I entered the buttons.

I entered the numbers, but I didn't know

you had to press star at the end. So I

tried opening the door and then this alarm

started going off. I was getting so

nervous, and then I finally realized you

had to press star at the end.

I was worried they gave me the wrong room

number and then there'd be someone in

here. And I was worried if I pressed the

circle button, I thought it was a

doorbell. There's no doorbell here.

Very confusing.

So I'm not sure what to do about the

Japanese girl. Do I be brave and risk it,

get myself some cereal tonight? Or do I

be a pansy, use my common sense, meet her

in daylight?
