These Foreigners Are Ruining Japan [LR57ipUBs7s]

So recently there seems to be a lot of

these weird YouTubers and streamers, also

known as nuisance streamers, making dumb

content in Japan and either getting

massive public backlash on Twitter because

everyone hates them or actually getting

arrested. First, there was this guy called

Johnny Somali who was just being annoying

to people on the streets and then filming

himself trespassing and getting arrested.

And now recently there's another one

called Fidias who made a video called

Trying to travel across Japan for free,

or in other words, not paying for train

tickets and hiding in the toilets from the

ticket man. And I actually find this stuff

kind of relatable because a few years ago

I also used to live in Japan, and I also

used to make problematic content in Japan.

And at one point I was willing to do

almost anything for views, and I was

really desperate to get views, and I was

just addicted to the attention and the

clout. Looking back at my years in Japan,

it makes me think, damn, my content was

pretty wild. I would do anything. Nothing

was off-limits when came to trying to get

views. I'd cheat on my wife, I'd get a

love doll and book an Airbnb to try and

fly a viewer out to stay there so we could

make some drama. I would say all this

horrible stuff about why I hated being

married and why I hated living in Japan,

and everything was just like toxic and

pure negativity. And I didn't care who I

hurt because I just wanted the views so

badly. But I was never stupid enough to

film myself breaking the law so I'd get

arrested or get in trouble whilst I was

living in Japan. I was very careful not to

be doing anything that could actually get

get me in trouble on my videos or on my

live streams, something these new

streamers and YouTubers don't seem to be

capable of. They're like, oh, let's just

livestream myself breaking the law and

trespassing and sneaking onto trains and

think I'm just going to get away with it.

Why are they so dumb? For certain types of

people, me included, the feeling of

getting attention on the internet, even if

it's negative attention, is extremely

addictive. More addictive than anything

else I've been addicted to. I've been

addicted to video games, women, gambling,

and nothing has really come close to the

pleasurable feeling of blowing up on the

internet and going viral, even if

everyone's hating on you. And it feels so

exhilarating and exciting. I think you

have to be a narcissist to some degree to

be so addicted to this kind of clout

chasing. And I have to admit, I was once

one of those people. There's a picture of

when Johnny Somali gets arrested and he's

sitting in the back of a police car, and

you'd think Any normal person would be

miserable and they'd be thinking, this is

the worst moment of my entire life. But

no, Johnny Somali has this massive grin

from ear to ear, like the biggest smile

I've ever seen on anyone's face, as if he

just won the lottery when he's sitting in

the back of a police car. And you just

know he's addicted to this attention and

internet clout when he's smiling so much

from just getting arrested, because he

knows that he's gonna blow up on Twitter

and social media, and Moist Critical

bloody Charlie is gonna make a video in

his bedroom and get like 10 bazillion

million views just talking about Johnny

Somali. And when I see these people like

Johnny Somali and Fidias getting into so

much trouble just to make a bit of content

in Japan, it just makes me think that my

style of problematic content in Japan was

so much better than these guys. I just sat

in my bedroom and complaining about my

wife or my marriage or how I cheated for

the 100th time or why I hate Japanese

bacon, and I did it all from the safety of

my bedroom without risking getting

arrested or getting punched in the face on

the street whilst doing a livestream.

These people are doing Japan content all

wrong. They're doing such high-risk

content where they actually do get

arrested or they get striked by YouTube

because there was so much public backlash

and outrage that YouTube had to take

action. And it just makes me think, damn,

I managed to somehow get over 35 million

views just by sitting in my bedroom making

content that at the time did outrage a lot

of people because of, you know, the

cheating and the complaining all the time.

But I never got arrested or had the entire

internet coming for me with pitchforks

trying to shut me down because they

couldn't stand me. Luckily, I was able to

do my problematic Japan content and kind

of fly under the radar. Apart from one big

YouTuber making a bunch of videos about me

called Elvis the Alien, no one really

seemed to care much about what I was up

to, even though I did kind of completely

destroy a Japanese woman's life for a few

years, which I feel so bad about. It just

makes me laugh because my first videos in

Japan back in 2018 of me just cheating and

being up to no good used to get hundreds

of thousands of views per video. And this

guy Fidias, who has like 2 million subs,

only got like 350k views on his video

traveling across Japan without paying for

tickets and stuff, and the video got taken

down, and now he has like a community

guidelines strike, and he's probably

banned from entering Japan because of how

much backlash he's getting. And Johnny

Somali is in jail still, and he only

averaged like 500 or 700 viewers per

stream. I don't know how much money he

even made from doing this stuff. The point

is, these numbers are kind of pathetic in

comparison to the punishment that they're

having to deal with now. And it just makes

me think, wow, it's so not worth doing

what they're doing. It's such high effort,

high risk for low reward style of content.

And I still think my style of content was

so much better. And the thing is, what's

going to happen is Japan is going to get

fed up with this. They're not going to

stand for it. There's so many of these

nuisance streamers nowadays, and there's

just going to be more and more because

idiots like MoistCr1TiKaL Charlie keep

making videos about them and getting like

10 million views. Which is going to give

them the exact attention and exposure that

they wanted in the first place. That's why

they're doing it, because they wanted

internet attention and clout. And then

these big YouTubers like Charlie, they're

giving them what they want. And I think

they're part of the problem. But anyway,

the Japanese people are not going to stand

for this, and they're already putting up

signs with things like no streaming, no

video making. And I don't really feel

sorry for any future potential YouTubers.

I mean, it sucks for them if they want to

make outside content, but I don't like

outside content. Have you ever seen a

YouTuber or a streamer doing their thing

outside in public? It's really annoying.

I've seen them. A couple months ago, I was

at Chatuchak Weekend Market in Thailand

where I live, and I saw these 2 Korean

streamers and they were just being loud

and obnoxious, talking to their cameras

like idiots. They just look like idiots.

They sound like idiots and they're

annoying to be around. So if outside

streaming and video making got banned in

Japan, I wouldn't even feel sad about it.

I would actually laugh because it is

really annoying being around a streamer or

a YouTuber who's vlogging outside. I think

the best thing that's going to come out of

this whole situation is people like Chris

Broad and Connor CDawgVA, who make public

outside vlogs and streams in Japan— that's

what the entire content revolves around—

they're gonna be so mad and pissed when

Japan gets tougher and stricter on what

YouTubers can and cannot do outside in

public. I just finished watching Chris

Broad's video about this whole Johnny

Somali and Fidias situation, and you just

know the only reason he's making about

this is because this is going to affect

him directly, and that's the only reason

he cares, because it's going to have some

kind of negative impact on his life. I'm

just laughing because it's gonna make his

life so much harder now. He already has to

ask for permission whenever he films in a

restaurant or something, and he already

has to blur out everyone's faces in the

videos even though they're already wearing

a face mask, which makes it seem kind of

pointless blurring out their face. But

that's what these big YouTubers in Japan

have to do now. And now that Japanese

businesses and restaurants are going to be

clamping down harder on livestreaming and

YouTubers because they've seen this news

about people like Johnny Somali. Well,

it's just gonna make Chris Broad and

CDawgVA and all those people, it's gonna

make their lives harder. And for that I

say bravo to Johnny Somali.

I don't like these people, but you know

the saying, the enemies of my enemies are

my friends. I don't know if you've seen

Japanese TV before where they've got the

TV presenter on the streets doing some

kind of program. They have to blur out

everything, you know, they have to blur

out everyone's faces. They even have to

blur out the shop's advertising the signs

of the businesses they're standing outside

in front of. And what you're left with is

all you can see is the TV presenter and

everything else is blurred. That's what

YouTubers are gonna have to do as well,

because for too long YouTubers have gotten

away with being able to do whatever they

want because they're not already employed

by a big TV network or anything, and they

don't have to follow many rules. They just

have to follow the rules of YouTube, and

that's not very strict compared to what

traditional TV outlets and broadcasters

have to follow when making a TV show.

Show in Japan. I find it so funny if in

the future all of Chris's future videos

are just gonna be him sitting in his

studio because it's too much work and it's

too much hassle going outside to make a

video because you got to follow all these

rules, and they're just gonna be like

Trash Taste where they just sit in a

studio talking about, I don't know,

nonsense. I also find it kind of

hypocritical of Chris Broad or Abroad in

Japan bashing Johnny Somali for filming

himself trespassing on a construction site

in Japan and When Chris literally has

videos of himself exploring abandoned

places like an abandoned theme park,

abandoned love hotels, where I'm pretty

sure you're not supposed to be trespassing

on abandoned places. And I don't know, or

I don't think they got permission from the

owner of the abandoned theme park. So I

don't know what Chris Broad is acting all

high and mighty about when he literally

does similar things to Johnny Somali. I

don't even know why people like Chris

Broad and MoistCr1TiKaL are making videos

about these people. When they're saying

stuff like, oh, they're only doing it

because they want attention. Yeah, but

you're now giving them the attention they

wanted so badly with your multi-million

subscriber channel, and they're gonna get

all excited. What do you think Johnny

Somali is gonna think when he realizes,

oh wait, I'm on— I'm featured on Chris

Broad's channel? Oh my god, this is so

amazing! That's what they're gonna think,

and more people are gonna do it because

they're gonna be like, oh, if I want to

get onto Chris's or MoistCr1TiKaL's

channel and be famous, I'm gonna do stuff

like Johnny Somali as well. So I find

these people like Moist Critical Charlie

to be very hypocritical when they're

making thousands of dollars off of these

situations whilst also pretending to be so

outraged and pretending like they think

this is such a bad thing that needs to be

stopped. They're probably loving it

because it's easy money and it's content

for them. So in conclusion, I think these

guys are kind of dumb. They're doing Japan

content all wrong, and I still proclaim

myself as the king of problematic Japan

content. I don't think anyone did it as

good as I did without getting into

trouble. And come on, my content was

great. Remember all the— I'm, I'm getting

married with my Japanese wife. Oh, I

cheated. Oh, she kicked me out. Oh, we're

back together again. Oops, I cheated

again. Oh, we're getting divorced. Oh no,

we're getting back together again. My

Japan content has to be the best Japan

content on all of YouTube, and I feel like

I should get more credit sometimes.
