20 Random facts about STAR WARS! Old Ben Kenobi hate star wars!

Hey guys, and welcome back to another

random facts about Star Wars episode.

So let's start with number 1. The actor

who played Obi-Wan Kenobi, Alec Guinness,

thought of the Star Wars films as fairy

tale rubbish. So I actually Googled this

and it does explain it all on Wikipedia.

So apparently Alec Guinness, who played

Old Ben. He was like some kind of

Shakespearean theater actor, very

traditional. So he

described the film as fairy tale rubbish,

but the film's sense of moral good and the

studio's doubling of his initial salary

appealed to him. What a sellout. If he

didn't like the story, he shouldn't have

agreed to do the part. So he negotiated

2.25% of gross royalties paid to the

director George Lucas, which made him a

filthy rich bastard.

Guinness soon became unhappy with being

identified with the part and expressed

dismay at the fan following. So he didn't

like the film, he hates his fans.

And it was his idea to kill off Obi-Wan,

persuading Lucas that it would make him a

stronger character. But actually, he

didn't tell Lucas was, I just couldn't go

on speaking those bloody awful banal

lines. I have had enough of the

mumbo-jumbo. And he shriveled

up every time Star Wars was mentioned to

him. That's so depressing.

I always thought he was like this cool old

guy, but now I don't know,

he just seems like grumpy old man.

He disliked the fame that followed work he

did not esteem.

Everyone thought— spoke highly of his

courtesy, professionalism.

Lucas credited him with inspiring cast and

and crew to work harder.

No complaints. Let me leave it by saying I

can live for the rest of my life in

reasonably modest way I am now used to.

Guinness tells an imaginary interviewer,

blessed be Star Wars, regarding the income

the condition that the boy promised to

stop watching the film because, as

Maybe she was right, but I just hope the

That's kind of sad to meet your hero and

then find out he's a complete asshole.

So yeah, that was Obi-Wan Kenobi. Sounds

like a grumpy old prick, to be honest.

Can't really blame him if he's some kind

of traditional Shakespearean actor. And

now he's famous for being in Star Wars.

So anyway, number 2. I already read that

earlier. Harrison Ford was paid $10,000

for his performance in Star Wars Episode

4. Was that it? That's nothing.

I mean, nowadays they get paid millions.

Peter Cushing, who played Grand Moff

Tarkin, found his costume boots so

uncomfortable that he wore slippers during

many of his scenes. Scenes and insisted

his feet just never be in the shot.

filming started on Star Wars, causing

severe facial trauma. He's always severely

injuring— he's always injuring his face,

like with the blood vessel.

Luke Skywalker was mauled by a Wampa. It

was added to account for scarring on his

face. Hahaha, what an idiot.

Oh, Mark, always messing up your face.

Yoda was originally going to be played by

a monkey carrying a cane and wearing a

mask. Okay.

During the evacuation of Cloud City, you

can see an extra running with what appears

to be an ice cream maker. The extra has

since been given an elaborate backstory.

And supposed— and the supposed ice cream

maker is meant to be a database of

contacts within the Rebellion. An ice

cream maker? That is random

as fuck. The word Ewok

is never said out aloud in Star Wars

movies. Luke's lightsaber in Star Wars

Episode VI: Return of the Jedi was

originally going to be blue to match the

lightsaber he lost in the previous film.

But Lucas was worried that it would

confuse audiences and thought a green

lightsaber would look better, so he made

the change. Okay, so that's
