Why I don't post on the r_hapas Subreddit.

Hey, hey, welcome to my closet.

Sorry about the bad lighting. It's 6 AM in

the morning. I just wanted to make a quick

video. Over the last week, I've noticed

my channel has grown a bit. There's been

quite a lot of new subscribers, and I

think that's mainly because recently my

videos have been appearing on a subreddit

called happers. I don't even know how to

pronounce that. Up until a few weeks ago,

I had never even heard of the word.

Happas. Is that even how you say it?

Hapers? Harpers? Happas? In the UK, we say

mixed race or half. I don't know if it's

like an American thing. Maybe in America

you say happas instead of mixed race.

Anyway, um,

and my videos have been appearing in the

happas subreddit, and I've

been getting some messages and some

comments asking me Why don't I post in the

Happa subreddit? Or people inviting me to

come over to the subreddit and be active

or become active on there. And I just

want to say that I do read the topics

and articles on that subreddit from time

to time, now and then, but I don't really

feel comfortable posting, and that's

mainly because My

first impressions of the subreddit weren't

very positive. I get the feeling that the

people over there are very aggressive,

and they're very defensive about their

opinions and beliefs and points of views,

and I feel like if I were to say something

that went against whatever they believed

in or what they thought, then I would get

a lot of anger directed at me. I'd

probably be told that I was stupid or

clueless and I should fuck off.

I'm not a very thick-skinned person. I'm

kind of sensitive, a bit fragile. If I can

sense that the person who's saying

negative stuff is obviously, obviously a

troll, then I won't really pay any

attention and it doesn't really affect me.

But if I get the feeling that the person

who's insulting me is an intelligent

person and he's actually serious about it,

then I do get a bit irritated. I get

irritated easily, and I don't want to get

into arguments with people. I'm not really

an argumentative kind of person. I'm very,

um, laid-back. I feel like if you have an

opinion, that's fine. If it's different to

mine, that's fine. I'm not gonna call you

stupid or say that you're wrong just

because you believe in something or you

think differently to me. But my first

impressions of the subreddit were that if

you don't have the same thoughts or ideas

as the majority of the people over there,

then you're either wrong or you're stupid

or you're uninformed or you need to learn

more and you need to know what you're

talking about. And I felt like there was a

lot of negativity and toxicity in

some of the posts over there, and that

kind of put me off. It kind of intimidates

me. I'm not really a confrontational

person. I like having debates with people,

but I like them to be— I like there to be

a level of friendliness and politeness.

I'm not really the kind of person who

asserts his own views and talks in a

direct, standoffish way.

Something I don't quite fully understand

about the subreddit is there seems to be a

lot of negativity towards Asian women who

like white men and white men who like

Asian women, and I'm not quite sure why

this is. I don't personally feel like

there's anything wrong in having, having a

preference towards a certain race. I know

several mixed relationships, mixed

couples, Asian and white people, and And

they're perfectly normal, friendly, nice

people. I don't really feel negative. I

don't feel any negativity towards those

people. Obviously, there are some people

who take it too far, who are too extreme,

who fixate and obsess about one

race of people, and I do feel like that's

a bit unhealthy, that those people might

have some kind of mental issues that need

sorting out. But I feel like those people

are a minority, and the majority of

mixed-race couples and relationships are

made up of people who are normal,

friendly people. And I don't really feel

any negativity towards those people just

because they are attracted to Asian

women or white men.

I get the feeling that over on the

subreddits that because there are a few

bad apples that give off this bad image,

it feels like they're stereotyping all

Asian women who like white men and all

white men who like Asian women as bad.

And I don't really agree with that. I

mean, for me personally, um, I'm not

afraid to admit that I do feel more— in

general, I feel more attracted to Asian

women than other kinds of women,

but I wouldn't say that I have an

obsession. It's just a natural preference

to them. I find myself more attracted to

them, but I wouldn't say that non-Asian

women are ugly or unattractive.

Everyone's attractive in their own way. I

just don't feel attracted to every woman

on, on the planet. But recently, I have to

admit that I've started to start I've

started to start— I've started to feel

like the race of a woman is, or a man,

is less and less important. And I'm

starting to feel like things like

personality and the kind of person they

are and if they are a good match for me or

yourself, I feel like that's more

important than what color their skin is or

what nationality they are. I suppose if

you look at my relationship history,

someone— you might say that I do have an

Asian fetish because 100% of my previous

relationships have been with Asian women,

but I don't really feel like that was my

choice. It just happened to be that the

only women who have shown an interest in

me were Asian women. I've never had white

women or black women or other types of

women show any romantic interest

in me, and 80% of my

relationships were initiated by the woman.

I didn't go up to them and say, will you

be my girlfriend? I didn't go up to them

and announce my love to them. It just

happened that the women I've been in

relationships with have been confident and

they've had They've been the kind of women

who approached me and initiated

a relationship. And I think the main cause

that they were Asian women is because I do

80% of my— I like the word 80%. I do 80%

of my socializing in Japan or Asia.

When I'm at home in England, I don't

go out, I don't mix with people, I don't

even have British friends here. I don't

have any friends in England. I don't

socialize at all. Maybe if I socialized in

England like I socialized in Japan or

Asia, then I would have a higher chance,

or there would be an opportunity for me to

have a relationship with a non-Asian

woman. But as of yet, that hasn't

happened. There's actually this

policewoman who comes into my work quite a

lot. And she's Caucasian, and I find her

quite attractive. Every time she comes in,

I feel kind of excited and my heart beats

faster, and I feel nervous talking to her.

I think that's what happens when you're

attracted to someone. Now I just feel like

I'm trying to come up with excuses to

prove that I don't have an Asian fetish.

I think she looks a bit like Daisy Ridley,

you know, the woman from Star Wars: The

Force Awakens. And I kind of felt like

Daisy Ridley looked like a white version

of my ex-girlfriend who was Japanese.

That's weird, isn't it? So, uh, that was

all I wanted to say about the subreddit

thing. I do read the articles over there

from now and then. From now and then?

From time to time. Now and then? Can't

even get the phrase right. But I don't

feel like I'm going to be posting anytime

soon. Maybe if I thicken my skin a

bit, or if I get used to it, then I might

feel inclined to make posts.

But I don't really feel like doing that

right now. Oh, and in other news,

um, I'm still sticking to the diet thing,

the 3,000 calorie thing, but it's very

difficult. Sometimes I don't quite reach

it, and I only have 2,800 calories, or I

only get 2,900 calories. I haven't really

gained any weight, it's exactly the same.

The only difference is I'm going to the

toilet a lot more, and I do actually feel

hungry more often now.

Oh, and I have an update for the, for the

DNA test. So if you don't know, last year

I sent off a saliva sample to get my DNA

tested, and the results should be coming

soon. I was a bit worried because a few

weeks ago it was saying that my saliva

sample wasn't up to the quality standards,

and they were doing second testings. And

if the second testing failed, then I would

have to do— I'd have to send off another

saliva sample. And I was really worried

about that because it takes ages. It takes

like 6 to 8 weeks to get your results.

But fortunately, I checked the status and

recently it says that my results have

passed something and— hold on,

I'll check it. You won't believe this. I

just logged into my DNA, the DNA website,

to check what that message said so I could

say it properly on the video. And look at

this. Your results are ready.

been waiting for this for such a long

time. I'm so interested to see what my

ancestry results are going to be because

I'm mixed race and I really want to find

out which parts of the world my mixed

race comes from, my mixed-race DNA comes

from. So if you want to, if you want to

place bets, you can place them now in the

comments. Obviously it's going to be like

50% Caucasian and 50% Asian.

Or would it, would it be like 55%

Caucasian and 45% Asian? Which part of the

world? What, what parts of Asia? Is it

going to be China? Is it going to be the

other Asian countries? What about the

Caucasian part? Is it going to be British

or German or Scandinavian. I have no idea.
