My wife is annoying

Okay, so number 1, washing the rice. When

I have to make the rice for dinner, she

always makes me wash the rice, and I think

that's stupid because, well, look, this is

the inside. Whoops, didn't mean to press

that. This is the inside of the rice

cooker. You put the rice in here and you

just put some water, you close it, and

then you turn it on. Why do you have to

wash the rice? The rice isn't dirty. And

then she says, yeah, you have to wash the

rice because if you put water into it and

you swish it around, the water goes

cloudy. The cloudiness of the water

doesn't mean that the rice is dirty. The

reason why the water goes cloudy is

because of the starch that's being washed

off of the rice grains. The only

difference it makes when you wash the rice

is it makes the rice less sticky and less

starchy. And for me personally, I couldn't

care less if the rice was starchy or

sticky or not. It tastes the same. You're

going to put it into your mouth anyway and

chew it into a messy gooey lump of

white mush anyway, so why does it matter

if it's sticky or starchy or whatever?

She says it tastes weird when I don't wash

the rice, and okay, the texture is a

little bit different. It, it's a bit

stickier, tastes a bit— I don't know, I

think it tastes the same, but it has a

different texture if you don't wash it. I

don't mind the texture. I actually prefer

the texture when it's unwashed. It's just

annoying having to wash the rice every

time you cook rice. It only takes not even

a minute. It takes maybe 30 or 40 seconds,

but that's 30 or 40 seconds I would rather

spend doing something else. I looked it up

on Google and I looked up, do you actually

need to wash rice? And everyone says no,

there's no problems if you don't wash it.

It's not going to kill you. Oh, she also

says that you have to wash the rice

because insects lay their eggs inside of

the bag of rice, which is so stupid. I've

never heard anyone say that before. Ever.

And even if there are insect eggs inside

of the rice or within the rice grains,

you're boiling the rice, you're cooking

the rice in water. If there's any eggs,

the eggs are going to get boiled and they

will turn into mush. You won't even notice

there any— any— you won't even notice any

eggs inside of— inside of the cooked rice.

It will just be disintegrated into the

rice grains. Another thing that's

irritating is when it comes to rubbish

disposal, especially cardboard boxes.

Right now we have a few boxes there and

it's not really a problem, but when we

first moved in, we had loads of cardboard.

She made me flatten the whole lot and then

tie it all together using string. I said,

why don't we just flatten it and then dump

it outside by the rubbish disposal area?

She says, no, you have to tie it all up

nice and neatly. And I said, who cares?

They're going to pick it up anyway. And

she said, they won't pick it up unless you

tie it up nice and neatly, which is a load

of rubbish. The rubbish men aren't going

to come. And just leave a pile of

cardboard outside there because it's not

tied up. That's their job. Their job is to

take the rubbish away.

Another problem is the rubbish bins.

She ties up the rubbish bins into a nice

neat knot so stuff don't— stuff doesn't

fall out from the rubbish bin. I don't

really feel like that's necessary. Just

twist it up a little bit and spin it

around so stuff doesn't come out. Stuff

isn't going to start flying out of it just

because you haven't tied a knot. And then

there was one time when, um, I bought

something on Amazon and it came inside of

a polystyrene casing. It was a pretty big,

big polystyrene casing and I just shoved

it into a green plastic bin bag. And then

she comes home and then she takes it all

out and then crunches it all into tiny

pieces. She said, she said you have to

smash it, break it down into tiny pieces

so it saves space. It's not going to save

space just because you break it down to

tiny pieces. It barely makes any

difference. It's still going to have the

same mass, it's still going to be the same

size, it's just broken down and now it

takes on a different shape. It's just

annoying because I thought I did a pretty

good job putting it into the rubbish bin,

then she comes home, she takes it all out

and then makes a huge mess on the floor

breaking it into pieces. And then she says

it saves space and that means we can save

on bin bags. It's not as if the bin bags

are very expensive. I can't remember how

much they cost, but I don't think they

cost any more than 10 or 20 yen per bag.

We're not going to go bust, we're not

going to go bankrupt just because we had

to use an extra bin bag. It's not going to

make any difference. The next thing is the

laundry. When I have to put the laundry

out to dry, um, and there's quite a lot of

laundry and it takes me 5 or 10 minutes,

uh, if it starts raining after I've done

the laundry, she tells me to bring it all

back in, and then when it stops raining,

I have to put it all back out again. And

this is just stupid because why does it

matter if it's raining? Yeah, if it rains,

the laundry is going to get wet, but it's

already wet because I just took it out of

the washing machine where it just got

washed and it was wet. So if I leave it

out, I think that we should just leave it

out in the rain and then wait until the

rain stops and then let it dry naturally.

Why does it matter if it's going to get

wet in the rain when it's already wet?

Does it really matter if it gets wet from

the rain? The rain isn't poisonous.

It's just frustrating because I spent a

good, a good part of 5 or 10 minutes

hanging the laundry out nice and neatly,

and then I have to bring it back in again

and then do it again just because it's

raining. Ridiculous. And another

irritating thing is the tissue box. She

insists on putting this ugly, horrible,

dirty-looking cover onto the tissue box.

Why? Why do you need to have a cover on

the tissue box? And she says, it's to make

the tissue box look nice. Who gives a shit

if the tissue box looks nice or not? It's

just a tissue box. How much time do you

spend looking at a tissue box? You just

put it on the table and you forget it's

there until you need a tissue. And I think

putting this cover on makes it look 10

times worse. Let me show you what the box

the COVID I think it's a fine Perfectly

fine-looking box. It has some flowers on

it. It is a nice shade of green. It's nice

and simple. I think this box looks 100

times better than having this stupid

granny's underwear wrapped around it. I

mean, look at this thing. It looks like a

granny's underwear. It's annoying because

when the tissues run out, then I have to

get a new box of tissues and put it back

into the COVID which looks ugly, when I

could just get out a new box of tissues

and just open it and place it on the

table. Another annoying thing is when I

ask for a tissue, because sometimes the

tissue box is further to her side on her

side of the table, and I ask her to pass

me a tissue and she gives me the entire

box of tissues instead of just one piece

of tissue paper. I don't want the entire

box of tissues, I just want one piece of

tissue paper. And this is the thing that's

irritated me most recently. Recently on

her days off, she goes out almost all

day. She'll leave in, in the afternoon or

late morning, midday, and then she'll come

back at about 10 or 11 PM at night. She

doesn't tell me where she's going. She

doesn't even tell me what she's doing

unless I ask her. And when I ask her, she

always just says, I'm going shopping with

my friends, I'm going to see my friends.

And she didn't used to do this before.

When it was her day off, she would stay at

home and spend the day with me. Today's

her day off. And she's not here because

she went out to see a friend. Yesterday

was also her day off and she went to see

her friend yesterday as well. She didn't

come back until 11 PM. And then she went

out to see her friend again today. I don't

know if it's the same friend or a

different friend. I don't know if the

friend's a guy or a girl. I don't know

where she's going. She doesn't even tell

me what time she's gonna come back. Just

hurt my feelings because it just feels

like she'd rather go out and spend the day

with her friends Instead of me. I mean,

what's the point of being together if she

doesn't even want to spend time and do

things with me? It's just so hypocritical

because if I go out and if I go out to see

a friend, you know what I would get? I'd

get an earful of her asking me a million

questions, giving me the Spanish

Inquisition, her accusing me of meeting up

with girls or me cheating on her. But when

it's— when it's her, it's perfectly okay.

She can just go out and meet whoever the

fuck she wants to meet, and then she

doesn't even tell me unless I ask her. So

imagine what she would say if I, if I just

snuck out during the middle of the day and

didn't come home until midnight. She would

start accusing me of cheating, wouldn't

she? Like she's done before. It's just

irritating because it feels like it's one

rule for her and one rule for me. For

example, it's okay for her to have private

conversations on her phone, and then when

I even slightly glance at her phone, she

quickly hides it. But when she finds out

that I'm having secret conversations or

private conversations with other people,

she demands that she— that I show it to

her. Otherwise, she accuses me of

cheating or flirting with other girls on

the internet. We had this big row the

other day because I'm sick and tired of

eating bloody white rice every single day.

I want to eat some potatoes, some pasta,

maybe a burger now and then. But no, she

has to eat white rice every day like she's

addicted to the stuff. So I had a little

tantrum yesterday saying that I didn't

want to eat rice every day and I wanted to

eat something that I want to eat for a

change. And we had this big row. I stormed

off and I went to the convenience store

and I bought a burger and I just sat

outside for a few hours. We went to the

supermarket the day before that and I put

some meat into the basket that I wanted to

have for lunch the next day, and then she

puts it back, returns it to the shelf

because, because she didn't know what I

was going to use it for. And then she

asked me these dumb questions like, what

are you going to use this for? What are

you going to use this for? What do you

think I'm going to use it for? I'm going

to put it in the frying pan, fry it, and

then put it into my mouth. And then eat

it! It's so annoying. I hate being

pestered and nagged about food. I want to

eat the stuff I want to eat. I don't want

to eat rice every day. I said, how would

you feel if you had to eat potatoes every

day? I don't think you would like that

either. So now I don't even think we're

going to eat together because, you know,

I'm sick of having to cook all the time

because I suck at cooking and I'm sick of

my own cooking. All I can cook is stir-fry

and I just put some meat and vegetables

into a frying pan and put some sauce. And

I'm sick of eating that. I just want to go

to a convenience store and buy a bento or

buy a burger. And every time I suggest

that, she says, no, I don't want to eat a

bento. I don't like convenience store

food. It's not healthy. It's not— it's

not— okay, it's not healthy, but it's not

that much different to what I'm making.

At the end of the day, it's just rice,

meat, vegetables with some sauce. That's

what a bento is. How is that different to

what I'm making? I'm still putting sauce.

Look, I'm putting this I'm putting this

sauce into what I cook as if this is

healthy. It's all full of salt and

preservatives. So I said, from now

on, you eat what you want to eat and I'll

eat what I want to eat. You do your own

shopping and I'll just go to the

convenience store and buy what I want to

eat, okay? Oh, it's just so annoying

having to live with someone. I can't do—

it just feels like I can't do anything how

I want to do them. I have to do it how she

wants them to be done, otherwise she

starts whinging and moaning about it. And

now I can't even— can't even eat what I

want to eat when I want to eat it.

Anyway, the whole going out with friends

thing every time she has the day off

instead of spending the day with me is

going to be a big problem. I don't think

I'll be happy with that. If it's just

once, once every 2 weeks, that's fine,

but every single day off she has going out

to see friends That's gonna piss me off.

I'm not gonna lie. If, if any of you have

been watching my channel and you remember

my French girlfriend, well, you should

remember, or you may remember, the reason

why I broke up with her and why I hated

her so much. She was the worst girlfriend

I ever had. And do you know why the French

girlfriend was the worst girlfriend I ever

had? It's because she made me feel like I

was invisible, like I meant nothing. She

was always out with her friends every

single day, every passing moment of the

day. She would only spend time with me

during the night when we went to bed

together. That was it. During the day, it

was like I didn't exist to her. And now it

just feels like that's happening again,

and I won't stand for it. If you don't

want to spend time with me and there's

nothing you want to do with me, then

what's the— what's the point of being in

this stupid relationship in the first

And she doesn't even ask me if I want to

come along, if I want to come and join her

with her friends, or if I want to hang

out, or if I want to go to a bar or

restaurant and join her with her friends.

Doesn't even suggest or, or invite me,

or, you know, even make me feel welcomed.

It's like she's ashamed of me or

something, like she doesn't want me to

meet her friends because her friends would

think I'm— maybe she would feel

embarrassed if I met her friends. And it's

the same thing with my job. If people ask

me, for example, if people ask me what

kind of— what do I do for a living, um,

she won't even tell them that I do

YouTube. She'll just say, oh, he's

self-employed, and then full stop. That's

it. We went to the real estate agent and

the guy was very chatty and he asked what

I did for a living. She just quickly said,

he's self-employed, as if she's

embarrassed that I'm a YouTuber, that I do

YouTube for a living. I'm not saying that

I want to tag along. I'm not saying I

actually want to meet her friends. I

don't. But it'd be nice if you at least

offered, or at least, you know, gave an

invitation so that I could decide for

myself if I wanted to go or not. If I had

my own friends, if I had friends and I had

someone and I was in a relationship with

someone who was important to me, I'd want

my friends to to be introduced to that

person that I'm in a relationship with.

Just don't get her.
