Why the Samsung Galaxy Fold is the BEST phone in the world

It's been about 2 months now since I got

my Samsung Galaxy Fold, so I thought I'd

make a video, an update video, what I

think of it now after using it for a few

months. Do I like it? Do I hate it? Do I

regret buying it? Uh, it's kind of windy

today. I think I'm gonna go back inside to

make the video, so give me a second. Um,

what was I saying? Yes, it's been about 2

months now. I got this Samsung Galaxy Fold

straight after I came back from Korea And

I actually got it refurbished, so it

wasn't that expensive. I think brand new

it's about £2,000, but I managed to get it

for £1,400, which I think is a pretty good

deal. And after about 2 months of using

it, I don't regret buying it. I still

think it's a really good phone. Actually,

I think it's the best phone you could

possibly get right now. What is better

than this phone? iPhone 11? I don't think

so. I had an iPhone 11 before and it was

rubbish. And any other phone that doesn't

have a big screen now, I just feel very

uncomfortable using it. I can't go back to

using my Samsung S10+ because I'm so used

to the big screen on this. Look,

this is one of my favorite things to do

with it when you want to open it. First,

you just wedge your finger into the crack

like that, just open it a little tiny bit,

and then once you've gripped it like this

you flip it like that, flip it open,

makes you feel really cool. And then you

can just shut it like that. I'll show you

again. You just make a little opening here

first, and then you go whoosh, and then

you flipped out your phone. Feels really

epic when you do that. And then you've got

this massive screen. It's about, it's

about half the size of my 11-inch iPad

Pro. I don't even use the iPad Pro that

much anymore because I feel like this

screen is big enough to do what I want to

do. The iPad Pro is kind of too big, you

know, you can't really one-hand use this.

It's very difficult to one-hand use it.

Used to, um, I used to use the iPad Pro as

my big screen and then my phone as my

small screen, but now since I got this, I

use that as my small screen and my big

screen. So you've got this tiny screen on

the outside which you can just used to

quickly message people or check email, do

one-handed stuff. Sometimes you've only

got one hand, like now for instance, and

it's kind of difficult to use one-handed.

Uh, what app could I show you without

revealing personal information? Hmm, I

don't know, maybe the camera. Oh, that's

my face.

When I first got it, I was kind of

worried. I thought maybe it would fall

apart, maybe the hinge thing won't be very

good. The hinge thing's pretty good.

It's, um, why won't it focus?

Yeah, it's quite a good design. It's very

sturdy. I don't feel like it's gonna

break. I don't feel like it's flimsy.

And, uh, I don't really know what else to

say actually. Oh yeah, the crease. A lot

of people were complaining about the

crease, and yeah, you can see the crease

when you face the phone screen at a light

source at an angle like this, you can see

it. But when you're looking at your phone,

you look at your phone straight on like

this, don't you? And when you're using it

like this, you don't really notice it. I

don't really know why people were

complaining about the crease so much.

When I'm using the phone, I'm looking

straight on, straight at it like this. I

don't notice it at all. It's really not a

problem. I think the fingerprint scanner

is kind of rubbish. You see that little

black thing on the side here. That's the

fingerprint scanner, and it's kind of

slim, so it sometimes— it doesn't read

your fingerprint very well. I actually

gave up using the fingerprint scanner

because most of the time it won't even

read my fingerprint properly, and then I

just have to use Face Unlock or enter my

passcode in any way. So I feel like it's a

waste of time trying to use the

fingerprint scanner. I don't know why it's

so bad. They should have just put one on

the screen like most phones have these

days. I don't know why they made this,

this little thing on the side. Um, yeah,

I don't really know what else to say about

it. I think it's a pretty good damn phone,

nearly perfect. Main complaints would be

the fingerprint scanner, but who cares

about that. Cameras, cameras are the same

as the S10 Plus. I don't

really have any complaints about the

camera. I guess the microphone is kind of,

kind of quiet.

They're not social distancing! You know,

some people say, oh, it's too expensive,

I don't want to spend £1,400 on

a phone, I don't want to spend £2,000 on a

phone. Well, it's not just a phone, is it?

It's a tablet. Plus a phone, you're

getting two devices in one. Either you get

a tablet plus a phone, which is going to

cost you nearly two thousand pounds

anyway, or you get a tablet and phone

built into one device. Actually, it costs

less—one thousand four hundred pounds

versus one thousand plus eight hundred

pounds—which is how much this phone costs.

So really, you're getting two devices in

one, and it's. Cheaper and better because

you can't put an iPad Pro in your pocket.

When I go traveling, I don't think I'm

even going to bring my iPad Pro. I don't

know actually. The only reason why I'd

want to bring the iPad Pro is for drawing.

The pen is good for drawing.

Hold on, my match has started. If I

accidentally broke it or lost it, would I

buy another one? Hmm, it is pretty

expensive, but I do really like

it. It's just so nice when you sit down

and you go— so nice when you sit down and

you just go whoosh and then it's open.

There's no other phone on the market where

you can do this. Just being able to do

this alone makes it worth it in my

opinion. And there's There's a way of

doing that. You want to put, um, you want

to put enough force so that it opens up

and then the hinge clicks, but you

don't want to put too much force and break

the phone. So you have to find the right

balance of force when you're flipping it

open. I'm also interested in getting the,

the Flip Z, which is like a normal phone

but it, it flips in half like a, like a

flip phone. That looks pretty interesting,

but it's like £1,000, so I don't really

feel like spending another £1,000. Look

how windy it is out there.

I don't even feel like I need to buy a new

phone ever again because this phone does

everything I want until the day when phone

companies start putting a wide-angle

selfie lens, which for some reason they

just don't want to do. I don't understand

why. They don't put the wide-angle lens on

the other side of the phone. They're all

putting wide-angle lenses on the outside,

but no one wants to put a wide-angle lens

when you're taking selfies or selfie

videos, which is what I really, really

want. That way I won't have to use this

stupid— where is it?

I lost it. My clip-on wide-angle.

Ah, where's it gone? I can't find

anything. I am interested in the Galaxy

Fold 2. I don't really know what they

would do to improve it. I think they made

the external screen bigger. You know,

this screen, it looks kind of small.

That's because the phone is so slim, they

can't really stretch out. But I think on

the Galaxy Fold 2, they made it a bit

wider, and then this— the external screen

covers the entire face of the outside,

which I guess is better, but to be honest,

I don't really care. I don't use the

external screen that much. I only use it

when maybe when I'm on the toilet and I'm

wiping my bum, but apart from that,

um, don't use it incredibly often.
