So I did a full shift today. I delivered

77 parcels. It didn't

go very well. Actually, it took me the

same time as it took 2 days ago when

everything got soaked, but today the

weather was really good. So the

reason why that happened was because So I

had this idea because

I found out in the driving app you can

actually have it so the route is

ordered in the order that you scan the

parcels in instead of ordered by the

postcode. So I thought it'd be this genius

idea to switch it to order by scanned,

and then I would scan a parcel, put it in

the car, and Scan next one, put it in,

and then I know exactly where number 1,

2, 3, 4, 5 is. It seemed like the perfect

plan, but it just didn't work. So first

of all, since I was putting the first

deliveries in first, it meant the last

deliveries buried all the parcels that

were supposed to be delivered first. So

all the parcels that were on top were the

ones that had to be delivered last, and

all the ones that need to be delivered

first ended up getting buried. So that

wasn't very good. And then,

so I had to order— I had to organize

the parcels into postcodes depending

on what area they're in because I wasn't

gonna let the app do it. I was gonna do it

myself and then scan them in order.

Problem is I don't really know the area

well enough. I only know certain few

street names. And I grouped up a bunch of

parcels that all had the same street

names. But then the other half, half of

the route, I just, I didn't know where

they were. They were like farms,

cottages, no idea where they were. So I

ended up just chucking them all in at the

end of the route. And then I accidentally

missed a bunch of places that should have

been at the top of the route but ended up

in the middle and the end. So I spent all

day Delivering here, go down here,

deliver there, go back up there, deliver

this one parcel that wasn't bunched up

with the other stuff, go back up here, go

down there, go back up there. I was just

like driving, driving all up

and down, up and down between 2 villages

when I should have just done Village

A, finish, and then Village B. I was like

A, B, A, B, ping-ponging between the 2

villages. It was so silly. I even—

I had to deliver 2 parcels to the same

house. Not together. I delivered it

to this one house and then about 2 hours

later I realized, oh wait, I've got

another parcel for this guy too. And

delivered the second parcel. Had to go

back to the same house again. It was so

unorganized.

It started off good because I got the

first 10 parcels in my front seat. After

that, it all just fell apart. And then the

route was not optimized based on location,

it was optimized on my ordering system,

which was rubbish.

So I showed up at the, the unit, the

pickup place, at 10 o'clock. It took me

about an hour to scan everything, get it

in the car, and then I drove about 15

minutes to the first place and I had to

wait a bit. I think I started about 12.

I think I started at 12 and I finished

about half 5 today. I delivered 77

parcels. Pretty good though.

So considering my route was so badly

planned and I still finished 77 in 5

hours— well, at first the

route optimized itself and it said 27

miles, 3 hours 20 minutes,

and then I was like, no, I'm gonna do it

my own way, and then I reordered

everything and And then my custom route

ended up being 5 hours and 50 miles.

So it was like double the mileage because

I kept having to go up and down, up and

I think I should make— because last time I

did about— I think I should make about

£80. Plus he said he's going to pay me £10

extra for doing this route because it's

difficult. It's not that difficult,

it's just, I don't know, it's like a

smaller village so the roads are tighter.

But he said he's going to pay me £10 extra

per day for me doing this route until he

can get me onto the easier route. I feel

like saying, actually, I don't mind doing

this route, can I just keep doing it and I

get £10 extra? So maybe I made like £80 or

£90 today. I don't know how much I made

yet. I won't know until the 1st

of March.

Yeah, pretty hectic day, basically 7 hours

because it's like 5 hours of delivering

and then an hour and a half of organizing

the parcels, scanning them in. Put them in

the car, driving to the first drop.

And I don't think you get paid for that.

You only get paid for delivering parcels.

You don't get paid for the hour you spend

sorting out your parcels. That's like— you

do that for free, which is not good.

But the faster you

are, the more money you make per hour.

I'm just slow. Where's my robe? I think I

left it upstairs. Now I'm a bit cold.

Actually, I kind of like it though. It

feels nice because you show up there and

then there's— everywhere is just full of

parcels. And then as the days go on, you

see less and less parcels. And the shed

thing was looking pretty empty today. And

I cleared out about 4 sacks of parcels

from the shed thing. It's looking pretty

empty, and then Monday comes, it's going

to be full again, packed.

It's kind of like a group effort, so all

the delivery drivers converge and then we

start taking our sacks, get rid of all the

parcels. I think next

time I go on Monday, I'm going to let the

app optimize the route based on the

postcodes, and then I'm going to do this

thing where you scan

the parcel again and then it will tell you

which order it goes in, what number,

which number delivery it is. So I'm

going to try that way and it should be

better than today. Today was horrible.

Today was just such a silly way of doing

it, so inefficient. I went up and down,

up and down so many times.

go round and round in circles. I went up

seen some of the roads I went on, so tiny,

and they're all covered in mud and water.

And if someone came down the other way,

like zigzag reverse back.

Some of these roads are so

Why can't I change the tariff? It's

because there's no WAN coverage here, so I

can't get a smart meter. And if you can't

get a smart meter, you can't get the

overnight cheap electricity.

So I'm paying 3 times more money for

charging my car than I was expecting. So

today it's going to cost me £5 because I

use half the battery. So if I did that 5

times, so 20 times a month,

it's going to cost me £100 in charging.

When I thought it was gonna cost £30, so

it's only £70 more. It's not massive.

Did I wash my car? No, there's no point.

As soon as you wash it, it gets covered in

mud again the next day.

It gets so dirty, there's literally no

point cleaning it. All the roads here are

just covered in mud. The only time the car

looks clean is after it rained.

And then my car was beeping. I don't know

why. Usually it beeps if the tire pressure

is low or my seatbelt's off or the door's

open, but nothing was open, nothing was

down or up, and it kept going beep beep,

and then it stopped beeping eventually. I

don't know what's wrong with my car.

Oh well, my charge— my electricity is

still pretty cheap though, 23p per

kilowatt. It's better than petrol.

give me directions back to the village.

reverse out of your driveway and get back

on the road? And then he kept saying, Oh,

it depends where you're going. I'd go that

way, but if you're going there— he kept

trying to give me directions, so I just,

I gave up and I just went with it and I

was like, oh, okay, thanks. And I got back

in the car and I was like, that wasn't

what I was trying to ask, but okay.

Yeah, I wanted— I don't know, I was kind

of nervous about how I'm going to get my

car back out of this little tiny lane back

onto the road, which is an extremely tiny

lane, without whacking my car.

Because I've done this before and I would

start reverse turning too soon and hit the

front of my car into the side of the gate

or whatever. One time I actually hit

someone's gate because I didn't realize— I

mean, I knew, but I didn't realize that

when you, when you turn into somewhere

you can't reverse out the other way

without the front of the car hitting

something unless you back out a bit and

then start turning. But sometimes there's

not enough room to back out before you

start turning because there's like a hedge

there. So I just ram my car into the hedge

until I can start, you know, pivoting.

make any content now. I just sit in my

and then give some kind of opinion on it.

be honest. I make more money. I make about

£80 doing a full shift. That's what—

The problem with YouTube is you need an

endless sustainable stream of content

that's easy to regurgitate without putting

your life at risk or getting arrested.

It's really difficult once you've run out

of content. You need like a constant

stream of crazy people in your life to

create drama, which I don't want. I don't

want crazy people in my life.

gang. Just looks like a horrible life full

thanks. Rather just have a normal job.
