Okay, so today we have to talk about some

important things that are coming fairly

soon. I've only got about 5 months left on

my student visa here in Thailand, so I

really need to seriously think about

packing up my stuff, going back home,

leaving Thailand, and start to plan what

I'm going to do next year. As most of you

know, I got myself a student visa in

Thailand about 7 months ago, 6 months ago

in July, and the visa was only for 11

months. So that means I've only got about

5 months December, January, February,

March, and then maybe April, some parts of

April. And then I probably have to go home

in April and then go back to the UK.

Actually, it's kind of good timing because

my sister is getting married in May, so I

would have to go back home to the UK

anyway to attend the wedding. You know,

it's been quite an interesting experience

being able to live in Thailand for over a

year, and I have been surprisingly shocked

at how How nice it is in Thailand. I kind

of expected I would really hate Thailand,

but actually I would place Thailand at

number two out of my favorite countries,

with Japan being number one, and I would

definitely want to come back again. I

think I'm gonna have to leave for a while

after I leave Thailand in April next year.

I don't think I'll be able to come back to

Thailand for quite a while because I've

already been here for over a year, and I

won't have a visa. And without a visa, if

I try and come back in so quickly, they

will take me to the side and they'll start

questioning me, and they'll probably not

let me come. Back in. And I actually got

in trouble last time I tried to come back

into Thailand. I was in Japan, remember,

earlier this year, back in April— was it

May? And I left Japan after a month and

came back to Thailand, and they actually

took me to the detention center and they

asked me a lot of questions like, you just

left Thailand a month ago and you've

already been here for half a year, why are

you back? What are you doing here? And

they asked me a lot of questions and they

seemed kind of angry and mad at me because

I didn't have a visa, but I explained my

situation and they were kind enough to to

let me back in, and that's how I was able

to stay and come back in for such a long

time. But if I try and do that again next

year after already being here for over a

year, I don't think they're going to be so

kind, and they're probably going to deport

me out of the country. So if I want to

come back to Thailand again, I really need

to get myself a visa. But the problem is I

don't know what visa to get. I can't get

another student visa because I already

have one now, and I'm pretty sure you

can't just get a student visa finish it

and then attend another school and then

get another student visa. I'm pretty sure

it doesn't work like that. And I'm pretty

sure there's like a cooldown period

between when your student visa ends until

you can get another student visa. I don't

even know if you can get another student

visa ever again. So I don't really know

what kind of visa I could get. There's the

Thai Elite Visa, which is about 5 years.

It lasts for 5 years, but it costs over

$25,000. They recently increased the price

of it. It used to be only about $17,000.

Thousand dollars, and I was seriously

considering it before all of my savings

got destroyed by this massive tax bill. I

thought I could actually afford it, but

no, there's no way I could afford $25,000

for a Thai Elite visa whilst I have to pay

my mum back and I have to pay all this tax

as well. So that's kind of out of the

question. To be able to afford the $25,000

Thai Elite 5-year visa, I would have to— I

mean, even if I got a part-time job or a

full-time job working minimum wage in the

UK, it would take me 2 years plus my

current YouTube earnings. It would take me

2 years to save up $25,000 to be able to

get that visa. So that's not really a

viable option. So really my only option is

to wait a while before trying to come back

in again and then come back in again as a

tourist on the 60-day visa-free waiver

and then try and extend that up to 90

days. Maybe things will change in the

future and then in the future English

people or people from the UK could apply

for like 6 months without a visa as a

tourist like I can do in Japan. I do feel

kind of sad to have to leave Thailand

eventually because I've been here for

quite a long time now. 1 year is a long

time, and after you've been in one place

for a year, it does start to feel like

it's your home. And I do feel like this

place, this apartment, I feel like it is

my home. I got all my stuff here, all my

important stuff is all mostly here. I've

got my fish tank, I've got my little baby

cherry shrimp who have recently started To

carry eggs. If that happens, zero percent

interest rates, then you're not going to

invest in bonds because you're going to

earn zero percent. So as an investor,

where are you going to put your? So it's

my second generation of cherry shrimp,

and they some of them have eggs. So we're

going to see a third generation of cherry

shrimp hopefully before I have to leave

Thailand. Okay, so here's my plan.

Obviously, I have to leave in April when

my visa expires, and then I'll go back

home to the UK, and then I'll just kind

of. Sit around in my bedroom, not really

doing anything until I have to go to my

sister's wedding. And then I'll do that

and then I'll probably just save some

money. I'll wait around in the UK for a

few months. I would like to kind of stay

at home for a few months just because it's

been such a long time since I've been home

and I kind of, I do kind of miss my

bedroom. I miss my home a bit and I miss

British food like the bacon, the pot

noodle, the Rustler's microwave burgers,

fish and chips, the red saveloy sausage.

There are things in Britain that I really

miss eating that you can't really get

here. And I also miss my sister's kitten.

If you remember last year, she bought a

kitten. It was very tiny. He's called

Pushkin. He's now a 1-year-old grown adult

cat. My mum's been sending me videos of

him and he's gotten really big, so I'm

looking forward to seeing him again. Very

busy boy. Very busy,

Pushkin.

How busy! It's all dirty.

Nobody picked you up? Sure.

And there's also a few things in my

bedroom I need to sell off, like my

32-inch MSI gaming curved monitor, my

Ozbot AI self-tracking webcam,

which was very expensive. I want to sell

that. And I've got some random cameras and

junk lying around that I might be able to

sell. Also, I want to do some cycling.

I've got this electric bike which is

really nice that I kind of miss riding on.

So I reckon I would be back home in the UK

for around 4 months, maybe 5 months, just

to save up some money, do some things that

I want to do, and then I want to head back

to Japan. So you might be surprised to

hear that I'm planning to go back to Japan

again instead of coming back to Thailand,

because I think even if I leave Thailand

for 4 months, coming back after 4 months

is still too soon and I might get in

trouble at the airport. So instead of

coming to Thailand and just sitting around

back home in England, I'm gonna go to

Japan again. And people keep asking me,

asking me, why do I keep going to Japan?

And the simple answer is because I like

Japan. What else can I say? I like going

to Japan. I've been going to Japan every

single year since 2010. I've been to Japan

for a total of maybe 15 times now. And I

just don't really picture myself ever not

going to Japan ever again. It's just part

of my identity is that I like going to

Japan. There's not really any special

reason. There's not like a special thing

that I really want to do over there. It's

just, you know, the atmosphere. I like the

atmosphere and I like the sounds and the

smells of Japan. And it's just a very

nice, beautiful looking country. And

there's a few things I want to do there

this time or next time that I've never

done before. And I want to get my

international driving permit, which you

can only get at the post office in the UK.

And I nearly got it last year before I

left for Thailand, but I couldn't be

bothered to queue up because there was

quite, there was quite a big queue, quite

a lot of people, and I was lazy and I

needed to go home quickly because I left

my bicycle, my expensive £1,000 electric

bicycle, locked up outside of the station.

I was kind of scared someone's going to

steal it because Maidstone is not a super

safe place to leave expensive things lying

around, so I just decided not to get the

international driving permit. But this

time I really want to get it because when

I go to Japan again, I have this dream of

renting a car in Japan and then driving

all around Japan and seeing all different

places that I wouldn't usually go to

because it's hard to get to those places

by public transport and it's kind of

inconvenient without a car. And I also

want to try sleeping in the car. That

would be kind of fun, I think, for a video

series. And yeah, I think it would be an

interesting experience. But I haven't

driven once since— well,

actually, I did drive once after I passed

my test. I drove my mum to the hospital

and then back home again. But that was the

only time I drove. I've never driven a car

by myself without anyone inside of the

car. So I'm kind of nervous about that.

And I haven't driven since October last

year. So it's been over a year since I

passed my driving test, but I haven't

actually done any driving. So I'm not sure

if I want to do like a book a practice

lesson, do like a driving lesson and ask

the instructor for some help to, you know,

help me get used to driving again. Or

maybe I just rent a car in the UK and do

some driving alone without an instructor.

I already think it's kind of scary to

drive in my own country. Trying to drive

in a foreign country where you're not

really used to what the roads are like,

you're not really used to the road signs,

and everything's in a foreign language. I

think that would be kind of intimidating.

So having some practice in the UK before I

go to Japan would be quite useful, I

think. So I'd probably head to Japan

around September or the end of July, and

then I'd probably stay there for 3 months.

I don't know if I'd extend it to 6 months

by going to the embassy and filling out

that paper thing, because as a British

citizen, I can stay there for 180 days

without a visa if I go to the embassy and

extend my tourist thingamajig. But I don't

know if I want to be there for 6 months.

That's pretty long. I think I could just

be there for 3 months, and then it'll be

September, October, November. Around

November, then I could try head back into—

come back to Thailand, which would be good

timing to avoid the cold winter of the UK

and Japan. I'll come to Thailand where

it's nice and warm. So I'm hoping that if

I leave Thailand in April and then try and

come back in November, that'll be long

enough for them not to give me any

problems at the airport when I try and

re-enter without a visa, because it'll be

like April until November is about 5— no,

it's 7 months. So that's pretty long time.

I don't know if I should leave it longer,

but I would like to come back within next

year and then just spend my winter in

Thailand. And then after that, I don't

know, I've got to leave after 90 days and

then I'll go back to the UK again for a

bit, save up money, and then Japan again,

and then Thailand again for winter, and

then back home to the UK, and then Japan

again, and then Thailand again for winter.

And then we'll just do that every single

year until I'm 60 years old. It sounds

great. I really don't know how much longer

I'm gonna do this. I can't— or maybe I

can. I could do it for the rest of my

life. What's stopping me? As long as I've

got legs and I can move and I've got money

and I've got a home in the UK, which I

think I would always have, uh, maybe I can

just live this lifestyle of spending my

life in 3 different countries every year.

But one day, you know, sometimes I do feel

like one day I would like to have a

settled down, more permanent life in one

place whilst also going on holiday. But

maybe just going on holiday for a week or

2 like a normal person does, not going on

holiday for half a year. And then I just

have like an actual house somewhere in

Asia which would be my official permanent

home, and then also a home in the UK, and

then like a home in Japan. I would

basically want a home in all the countries

that I frequently visit, but I'm not rich

and I'm not a millionaire and I'm not a

genius, not smart enough to make all that

money. So I guess I won't be able to do

that. So those are my plans: go back home

in April, spend a few months back home in

the UK to save up some money, then

eventually head back out to Japan to do

another Japan vlog series. And, uh,

yeah, that's basically it for next year.

I hope that sounds interesting enough.

Unfortunately, I didn't make any friends

at the Thai school. I was kind of hoping

I'd go to the Thai school and meet people

and there'd be interesting people, maybe

become friends, or at least, at least

change— exchange contact details with

somebody. But I didn't manage to exchange

contacts with anyone. No one interesting

came up to me and made an effort to try

and be my friend, and I just kept to

myself. And there were quite a lot of

Japanese people at the school. I could

hear several Japanese people talking to

each other, and I saw them on the

elevator, but unfortunately I didn't

manage to talk to any of them because I

was scared. I did want to talk to them and

try and practice my Japanese a bit, but as

usual, I chickened out and I missed out on

opportunities in life because, because of

crippling anxiety, I guess. I decided to

cancel my trip back home for Christmas

because it's just, it's too expensive. I

don't have that much money anymore, and

the trip back home for Christmas would

cost thousands. Flight tickets are really

expensive now, and the UK is not very nice

in December. It's very cold, it gets very

dark very early, and I feel like if I go

back home and then I had to leave home

again after just a couple of weeks, I

would get kind of depressed. And that's,

that's what I felt like in 2019 when I

came back to the UK for Christmas and then

had to go back to Japan. I felt really sad

having to leave after only just 10 days,

I think. And then I was just kind of

miserable and moping around when we got

back to Japan. Also, getting a UK visa for

my girlfriend sorted out was kind of a

pain in the backside. It required me to

have £6,000 in my bank account to show

them that I have the money to be able to

support my girlfriend in the UK. And I had

to print out 3 months of bank statements

when obviously I don't have that much

money in my bank accounts because I have

it all in stocks. And then I'd have to

sell my stocks, move all the money back

into my bank account, wait until I get the

new bank statements, print those out. It

was just too much fuss and bother that I

felt like canceling the entire Christmas

trip. So no Christmas trip. Christmas will

be spent once again here in Thailand.

This year has been kind of stressful,

what with all the traveling, going to

Vietnam, going to Japan, and then trying

to come back to Thailand, and then my

channel being discovered and my true

identity being exposed. The whole thing

this year was very stressful, and I'm

hoping that next year will be a little bit

more of a gentle and calm year. It would

be nice if things go a little bit better

next year.
