Update on my New Garden Summer House

Hi and welcome to my video about my

new house being built in the garden.

It's, um, yeah, it's coming along pretty

well. Not really

sure how long it's going to take until

it's finished. Maybe a few months, maybe a

few weeks. Probably not a few weeks. A few

weeks seems a bit too short. Maybe a few

months. Hopefully I'm still here when it's

finished and I can do like a proper New

house tour. You can see the roof is on

now. Um, yeah, let's go

inside. Okay, so this is the

front, or is it the side? I'm not exactly

sure what this massive opening is going to

be. Maybe it's going to be like a really

big door, and then these 2 slots on either

side are going to be like windows. That's

what I think. So this

is where the old shed used to be. If you

used to watch my older videos, you'd

remember there used to be a very rundown,

kind of collapsing, half-collapsing,

rotten old wooden shed. And that was built

by my granddad. He built it to put

chickens in there because there used to be

chickens here when my granddad lived here

with his family. And then afterwards it

just kind of became like this abandoned

shed that my dad used to dump junk and

rubbish in, and it was all

rotting and the rain was making it rot and

fall apart and the roof was starting to

collapse. I kind of miss it though. It was

nice because there were 2 floors and then

you could go up to the 2nd floor and you

could stand up there and then you had like

a nice view of this part of the garden.

But this will put— this will probably look

pretty nice as well when it's finished.

Still though, it's kind of sad seeing the

old shed go. It's been there for the

entire time that I've lived here, so 20

years plus since

I moved in, and then the whole time when

my granddad was here, which was like 50

years. I don't know exactly. So this bit

is the front door.

Um, yeah, my house is over there,

and then this is the second one. I'm not

sure how they're going to do it. Maybe

they're going to like dig a path here, or

maybe steps that go down, cuz there's like

a slope here. Maybe they're going to level

it out. I don't know, but the roof is on

now. Let's go inside.

Getting flashbacks of my last day at the

petrol station. Remember my last day at

the petrol station when they were adding

the extension and it was all like a

construction site, and then I, um,

unloaded my stress onto one of the new

toilet units? No, I won't do that here.

That would be improper. We shall

respect the new family building.

Well, I wouldn't if I had a girl here,

but that's

another story. Oh, look at this.

Very private in here,

isn't it? You know, I could if I really

wanted to, but it's a bit cold, so I

wouldn't. I wonder

if it's okay if I stand in here. I feel

like I shouldn't be inside of it.

Hmm, I don't know how they do it. They got

these wooden planks all supported

up there, and then they've cut

grooves to slot

the wooden planks into them. Like that.

Interesting. What's around this side?

Oh, this is where I took Mila. Remember

when Mila first came over? I took her

around the back of the shed and

then we were— no, she was throwing those

spiky plant things at me and they were

getting stuck on my trousers. I think it's

plywood. Oh look,

videographing. Looks pretty good actually.

Wow, iPhone 12 camera is pretty damn good

when you point it at something pretty.

Yeah, whatever. It's this bloody flower.

Okay, so around here we have the nut

forest, nut tree forest. There used to be

way more nut trees, but my mum got them

chopped down for some reason. Reason. I

don't know why she's got them chopped

down. Now there's like a big empty patch

over there. Maybe she's going to build

another house in that patch. And then this

is the side. Got a big window.

No window on this side, which is

good, I guess, because then people from

the road can't see in. But When the trees

and the shrubs grow, it should block any

visibility from the road. There used to be

a massive tree here as well, but my dad

chopped it down. You can just see the

leftover tree trunk.

Maybe you remember the video I made when

we chopped it down. Quite an old one.

Not sure if I deleted it or not.

Do do do do. I wonder if I get to move

in here. That'd be pretty cool if I get my

own little place. If I get my own little

place like this, I wonder if I'd even

bother traveling. Why would you want to

travel anywhere when? Can you imagine this

this building finished and it looks really

nice? And then you can just live here.

You got a bed, but where would you put the

bed? Put the bed over there.

Don't know. It seems kind of small if it's

gonna be like a whole building.

Would you have a bed? You need a toilet.

I guess the toilet's gonna go over there

where those pipes are, so they have to.

Put some walls to make a little room for

the toilet in the corner. And then here

you could have maybe a kitchen, and then

over there you could have a sofa, like one

of those L-shaped sofas. And then here you

could have like a table, and then you

could put like a TV there. I don't know,

but if you had a nice place like this,

you can just step out into the garden.

I feel like I'd just end up living here

forever. Why would I bother going to Japan

or Europe?

It'd be too nice to want to leave.

Hmm, well, I guess loneliness becomes a

thing, doesn't it? Which one would you

choose? Would you like to live in a

really, really nice place but

you're kind of all alone and in the middle

of nowhere? Or would you like to live in

like a really expensive, much smaller,

possibly even much crappier place, but you

get to have a girlfriend and a social

life? I don't know, maybe if you're like

60 or 70 you'd like this lifestyle.

Just get a dog or something.

And then I'll show you my hole that

got buried. Oh look, these used to make up

part of the roof, these metal things. I

wonder where my granddad got this.

Do do. Some people, when I used to make

videos outside in the garden, some people

asked if these barrels were cannons.

Because they look like cannons sticking

out the ground. No, it's just compost. I

don't know why they're still here. I don't

know if my mum actually does it— does

anything with it. Maybe she does.

Look, this is my hole of insanity when

Mita was leaving me and breaking my heart.

Why does it look like a smiley face?

Yeah, this is where I dug the hole, and

then I came home and it was filled in.

Dug it pretty deep. It's so squishy.

Grass is growing back over it.

And this is the apple orchard. There used

to be way more trees, but my dad cut them

down because some of them died. Look,

there's a dead one.

This used to be an apple tree. I spat on

the camera. Uh, this is an apple tree.

They'll start growing apples later.

And then all these holes are dug by

rabbits. This is where the rabbits live.

So this goes around here.

I don't know what these trees are here.

You can also build like a little cabin

here, couldn't you? This is the perfect

space for another cabin. Could have a

neighbor. Hello,

neighbor. And then here's the

pond. It's all covered in green stuff.

Covered in slime.

Looking pretty good.

And there's a female duck over there

behind the other tree. She's sitting on

eggs, but she's been sitting on them for

weeks now. And this is my dad's tree where

we buried my dad under this tree.

And these are the hammocks.

This looks quite good, very scenic.

And then the duck with the eggs,

she's over here. You probably can't

see it. I don't know how long she's

been sitting on them. They still haven't

hatched. Somewhere here.

It's so overgrown you can't see it

anymore. Somewhere there.

Hmm, be funny. If little ducklings start

wandering around, then I have to be

careful with my football. Well, I'm going

inside now because it's a bit cold and it

feels like it's gonna rain. And let's see,
