BEST Sniper Rifles in HELLDIVERS 2 - INSANE DAMAGE

Hello and welcome back to a new video. So

today we'll be talking about the best

sniper rifles in Helldivers 2. So as you

may know, it's a very action-oriented

game, co-op shooter, blowing stuff up.

You might not think that sniping and being

stealthy is really a big part of the game,

but you would be wrong to think that.

Sniping in Helldivers 2 plays— can play a

massive part of the game if you want to

have more of a stealthy playthrough.

Today we'll be talking about how to be a

lone stealthy sniper. So if you really

want to be a sniper in Helldivers 2, then

the anti-material rifle is a great choice.

You get about 6 rounds, it's very

armor-piercing and penetrating. Great

weapon, does great damage. But the railgun

is just on a complete whole other level.

It doesn't have the range of the zoom

scope as the anti-material rifle does,

but it surely packs the power and makes up

in the zoom department by being able to

blow everything up, including yourself,

if you dare to use the unsafe mode.

There's a few decent battle rifles that

can also act as a sniper rifle. So we've

got the Liberator Penetrator, it's got a

zoom scope, medium armor penetrating,

very good rifle. And then for the marksman

rifles, we've got the Diligence, very good

capacity, 20 rounds in the magazine,

light armor penetrating. We also have the

Diligence Counter Sniper. I mean, it's in

the name, Counter Sniper. It's got 128

damage, which is better than the 112

damage on the Diligence. It's also light

armor penetrating, capacity 15-round

magazine. Very good sniper rifle. Now you

also want to look at the armor. Light

armor, highly recommended as a sniper,

but the best armor has to be this one

where it reduces the range at which

enemies can detect the wearer by 30%,

which Also, this one has the same effects.

Very good for avoiding detection if you're

trying to sneak around. So let's have a

look at some of the gameplay with the

rifles. Okay, so first we have the

Diligence Penetrator— I mean, the

Liberator Penetrator. And we're gonna have

a look at this gun. It does burst fire as

its default mode, and it's got medium

armor penetrating ability. So look at

these armored mobs here. For example,

this one, it just shreds right through its

armored head, which is pretty useful if

you're up against a lot of armored

enemies, which you will be in the later

difficulties. So if you prefer single-shot

gameplay, then hold R and then

right-click, and you can switch to

semi-automatic mode, which is very useful.

So as a sniper, you really want to get up

high and get up onto one of these

mountaintops so you've got a good view of

the battlefield, and you're basically

invincible. So I mean, look at this Brood

Commander. You can just pepper it with

shots, and because your bullets are

armor-piercing, it does way more damage

than it would normally.

So you can see these armored guys at the

bottom there. Your medium armor-piercing

bullets will actually go straight through

that armor. See, it's not protecting it at

all. Usually you get a little symbol. So

for example, if I switch to my little

pistol and I shoot the armored guy in the

head, I think that's one there. No, I

think there— oh, there it is. So you see a

little symbol saying that the bullet

ricocheted and was deflected by the armor.

When you switch to the Liberator

Penetrator, you don't see

that little symbol ever because you got

armor-piercing bullets. See, it just died.

His armor is basically useless. This is a

great sniper rifle. I can just take

potshots at these guys down there. They

can't do a thing, and their armor is not

going to save them. So great little sniper

rifle. Let's move on to the next rifle.

First, we just need to get off this

mountain and clean everything away with

the orbital laser. Beautiful.

And we need to get down the mountain as

gracefully as we can. Why am I not

hitting that guy? Don't know.

Oh my god, another great sniper rifle has

to be the railgun. As I said before, it's

got 2 modes, safe and unsafe. I wouldn't

recommend using unsafe because it's kind

of easy to accidentally blow

yourself up. So the way it works is you

charge up to 50% and then you release and

it shoots a single bolt, and then you

recharge— I mean reload. It's really

powerful. It can headshot and one-kill

basically almost anything. Watch this.

See, I kind of hit it in the leg, but it

still one-shot it. And anything armored,

it also goes straight through the armor.

So it's a great sniper rifle. It doesn't

have a great scope. The scope's kind of

rubbish. I prefer this way of aiming it.

But yeah, it's a pretty powerful

single-shot rifle. Do some gameplay with

it to show you what it's like. Just can't

seem to find any bugs yet.

Okay, let's test it out here. See, just

one-shot that thing. See if I can get that

armored guy. Oh,

one shot! Oh,

one shot that one, one shot that one.

See, it just one-shots everything, and it

also goes through multiple enemies if

they're lined up. You can kill multiple

things in one shot. Look at that great

sniper rifle.

Now this is where it really shines. When

you've got a bunch of enemies lined up in

front of you, you can just start taking

shots at them. I just one-shot that thing.

I just one-shot that thing too. One-shot

that thing. One-shot that.

One-shot that. You see how good it is?

It's just, um, not great when you start

getting swarmed, then you might want to

switch to the shotgun. For close-range

combat. So I'm out of bullets.

So next I'll show the anti-material rifle,

if I can find where I put it. I think I

put it over here. So this is the

anti-material rifle. I think it's better

than the railgun, number one because the

scope is way better. Look at that scope.

You can also do 200-meter or 100-meter or

50-meter scope options, but I don't know

how to choose it. For some reason it

doesn't tell you which button to press to

change the scope distance, but it's a

pretty good sniper rifle. It's probably

the only rifle that's technically

considered a sniper rifle because it's got

the tripod mounts on it, which implies

you're supposed to be prone when using it,

and it's got an actual— whoops— it's got

an actual proper scope on it. Again,

single-shot fire, but this time you get a

magazine. Instead of just having to reload

it every single time. It is bolt-action

though, so it's not like you're gonna be

burst-shotting with it.

So also, it doesn't need to be charged up

like the railgun. Watch this. See, I can

just— it's also armor-piercing, so you can

just mow these guys down without having to

charge it up to 50%. Don't have to keep

reloading it. It can even armor-pierce the

armored Charger.

Watch.

It still doesn't— I mean, it does take

quite a lot of shots to kill the Armored

Charger with it. I wouldn't recommend

using it against the Armored Charger. And

then finally, I want to show you the

Diligence Counter-Sniper. Sniper. This one

actually has sniper in the name, so maybe

this is a better sniper. So again, my top

tip for being a sniper is land on the

mountains. You don't need to call any

support weapons, you already got it in

your hand. And this is the Counter Sniper

Diligence. Got one mode, semi, 16 shots

in the round, goes up to 200-meter scope.

Not armor-piercing though. Look at those

bullets just bouncing off. If you want an

armor-piercing sniper, then I'd use the

other one, Liberator Penetrator. But I did

no damage. It's kind of pants because it

just bounces off like that.

So, um, if I can find something to shoot—

nothing.

Oh, there's something.

For some reason it's hitting the rock

instead of hitting the bug.

So I guess it's between this one and the

medium armor-piercing rifle. I'd

personally choose the other one simply

because it's armor-piercing, whereas this

one's just light armor-piercing. It can't

even shoot these bugs even though I'm

aiming directly at them.

Oh, I got it. It's hitting the rock

for some reason. What a stupid buggy game.

God, this game has so many bugs.

Are they trying to be funny because the

game's all about killing bugs? Oh my God,

what a stupid game.
