I'm not sure if you need to fill out every

single page. I think a few of the pages

From the wife to the husband, and then

from the husband to the wife. A place to

write a special loving message. Okay,

so getting married isn't that simple.

First of all, we need to fill out this

this marriage document, and then I also

need this certificate. It's called a

certificate that no impediment to marriage

has been shown to exist, or a certificate

of no impediment. And I need to go to

Tokyo to the British Embassy, and that's

where I get that certificate made. And in

order to get this certificate, I need my

birth certificate, which is under here,

which I am— I got sent to me 4 years ago.

When I nearly got married to my

ex-Japanese girlfriend. It says I need to

print out this, this application form and

then fill it out and take it with me when

I go to Tokyo. Seems pretty

straightforward. And then hopefully the

consul officer will sign it here,

and then I'll

get my certificate of no impediment, and

then I can get married. Guys, I can smell

something really delicious coming from the

Whoa! Oh, oh yes,

yes! The most annoying thing about the

whole process is, is having to get that

certificate of no impediment. I don't even

know what impediment means. I think it's

basically a certificate that proves—

somehow it proves that you're not married

to someone else and that you're legally

able to marry. It just seems like a big

waste of time. It seems like a way of

squeezing money out of people who want to

get married. Or it seems like a way of

making the whole marriage process more

complicated to try and prevent people from

getting married so easily. Which I guess

it works because last time I tried to get

married, the only thing that stopped us

from getting married was was the

certificate of no impediments. We actually

broke up before I was able to get the

certificate, so we never got married. So

if you want to get a certificate of no

impediments, you need your passport, you

need ID, you need proof of address, and

you need your birth certificate, which

fortunately I got sent to me 4 years ago

when I nearly got married back then, and

I've kept in my luggage ever since then.

I was a bit worried about proof of address

because the this isn't my place, this is

my girlfriend's place. And I don't have

any letters sent to me, I don't have any

utility bills that are in my name. So,

um, I phoned up the embassy and he

actually said that I can just bring my

girlfriend's utility bills or electricity

bills and that'll work as proof of

address. I went onto the embassy website

and I booked an appointment to get this

certificate, and the earliest I could get

the appointment for was the beginning of

March. So there's quite a long time to

wait until then. So it looks like we're

going to Tokyo. Um, we're gonna go on the

bullet train. I've never been on the

bullet train from Osaka to Tokyo before.

Says it takes 2 hours and a half, which is

pretty quick. We're not going to stay the

night, we're just going to go very early

in the morning, hopefully get the

certificate without any problems, and then

maybe we'll do some quick sightseeing in

Tokyo and then come back to Osaka. The

same day. It is a bit annoying that we

have to go all the way to Tokyo just to

get this silly certificate. This person

just needs to sign it and I need to

promise— I need to make an oath that I'm

not married to anyone else anywhere else

so I can get married in Japan. They have a

British Embassy in Osaka and I phoned them

up and they said that they no longer offer

this service. They no longer offer a

certificate of no impediments. Maybe it

would be interesting to take a trip to

Tokyo It will be like, be like an

adventure. Yay. So after I get this

certificate, getting married should be

pretty easy. We just sign that, fill out

that document, go back to the city hall,

and then hand in everything, and then we

should be married. The next thing, which

is even more difficult, which is trickier,

is changing my visa to a spouse visa. And

that sounds very complicated. Apparently

we have to give proof that we're actually

a couple, so we have to show them photos

of us together, and we have to answer

questions. They, they kind of like

interrogate us about our relationship to

make sure it's not, not a fake

relationship. So the spouse visa

application could get rejected if the

person who's looking at our application

thinks that we're a fake marriage or a

sham marriage. So if the application gets

rejected, I'm not quite sure what I'm

supposed to do then. Apparently you can

get a lawyer to help you appeal the

decision. So I'm gonna get that document

printed and filled out and prepare

everything else. And then just wait for

March until we go to Tokyo and see if I

can actually get this certificate. I'll

keep you updated on the whole process. So

let's see how this turns out. Work it,

Hello and welcome back to Cooking with

Daniel. Today we're making beef stir-fry.

As you can see, I have a nice piece of

beef. We're going to slice into nice

smaller slices and then Fry it

in a frying pan with some vegetables.

It's going to be very tasty.

Now the beef has been completely sliced

up, we're going to toss it into the frying

pan along with some celery.

Here we have some fried tofu and some

sliced up vegetables. We also have some

green onions sliced into tiny pieces.

We also have some yakiniku sauce, which

we're going to add to everything to make

it taste nice. Now we're

going to give the beef and the celery a

bit of a stir. Stir around to make sure it

gets cooked evenly.

Now the beef has finished cooking, we can

add the rest of the vegetables.

We can also slice the tofu pieces

into smaller pieces.

After everything's finished cooking, we

can finally sprinkle on the green onions.

And there you go, all ready, ready to be

enjoyed and consumed.
