Elden Ring - Pyromancer FIRE Mage Build

Hello, welcome back to a new Elden Ring

build video. Today I'll be showing you how

to make a Pyromancer fire mage that uses

fire spells and magic. So when it comes to

making a fire mage Pyromancer, the best

spell that I found that does fire magic

has to be Frenzied Burst. And Frenzied

Burst shoots out— kind of shoots out this

laser beam of fire from your eyes. So it's

pretty cool and it does devastating

damage. Okay, so first of all, it's very

easy to get this spell. You can get it

quite early on in the game. You need to go

to this Frenzied Tower area, and if you go

to where I've placed the waypoints, you

should find a load of frenzied rats, and

there's also this scarab beetle that drops

the Frenzied Burst spell. Okay, so back to

Frenzied Burst. Really, you don't need any

other fire spells. There's loads of other

fire spells in this game, but they're all

kind of weak in comparison to this one.

This one is like this cannon sniper kind

of spell that can be used from a great

distance, and it can one-shot most enemies

and 2 or 3-shot bigger and tougher enemies

as well. You can just tap the button to do

a quick burst, or you can hold down the

button to do a powered-up charge attack,

which does about 20% extra damage and also

has a greater chance of staggering and

knocking down the enemy. So they don't

really have much chance to fight back even

if they survive the first blast. Now, as

long as you have line of sight between you

and the enemy and you can do a target

lock-on to the enemy, you can usually hit

them even if they're really far away.

Sometimes they're a bit too far away and

you might have to take a few steps closer

to them, but as long as you have quite a

lot of distance in between you and them,

then it's pretty easy to clear out areas

of enemies. The problem comes when you

kind of get ambushed by an enemy and

they're right in your face, and it's

really difficult to use this spell when

the enemy's right in your face because it

takes quite a long time to charge up. And

they're definitely going to hit you a few

times and interrupt your spellcasting

before you can fire it off. So if you get

attacked right in the face unexpectedly,

then you're not really going to have much

of a chance to use it, and you might be

better off just switching to a melee

weapon or a different spell or just

running away. Okay, so now we've seen the

devastating effects of Frenzied Burst,

I'm going to show you which talismans to

use to boost its damage even further. So

first of all, we have Faithful Canvas

Talisman, which raises potency of

incantations. This is good because

Frenzied Burst is an incantation. Next we

have Fire Scorpion Charm, and this is good

because it boosts fire attacks. And yes,

Frenzied Burst does count as a fire attack

even though it's kind of like a

yellow-looking flame. I did some testing

and I equipped it, unequipped it, and the

damage of Frenzied Burst and other

frenzied flame attacks, they do go up when

you have this equipped. Next we have

Godfrey Icon, and this enhances charged

spells and skills, and this also does

improve— increase the damage you do with

Frenzied Attack because it counts as a

charged spell when you hold it down. And

finally we have Flock's Canvas Talisman,

which was such a pain in the backside to

get. You had to do this massive questline,

which I'll explain a bit later, but it

basically does the same as Faithful Canvas

Talisman, but it does it better. And yes,

they do actually stack, and they

definitely stack because I tried

unequipping one of them and it did less

damage when I only had one equipped. And

if you want to do even more fire damage,

you can use the Flame Shrouding Cracked

Tear on your Physick Mix, which boosts

your fire attacks. Plus you can use Flame

Grant Me Strength, which does more damage

boosting for fire attacks. And that way

you can boost your flame attacks by quite

a lot. So as you can see, with this

combination of talismans and these fire

boosts, you can do really good damage.

Most enemies won't be able to survive more

than a few shots. I think this build is

good if you don't really like to get up

close to the enemies, you don't really

like messing around with melee weapons and

getting hit in the face, and you like to

take the enemies out from a safe distance.

I guess you could argue that it's not

really a fun way of playing because you're

just spamming one button. You don't really

have to dodge or use combos or have to use

light or heavy attacks or parry or block

or anything. It's a pretty one-button

playstyle build. So to get Flock's Canvas

Talisman, you have to do this questline

with this girl called Millicent, and it

starts off at this shack called Gowry

Shack in Caelid. And he'll send you to go

and get this needle from a boss called

Commander O'Neil who's roaming around in a

swamp. So I like to use these summons that

have shields and they're really good at

tanking and they can taunt the enemy away

from you and they basically just surround

the enemy, block them from getting

anywhere near you whilst you can just

blast away at them with Frenzied Burst

which still does quite a lot of damage

even on boss enemies. So you get this

needle and then you have to take it back

to the guy called Gowry And then he'll fix

it for you. And then you have to go to a

church to help this girl called Millicent

who has Scarlet Rot. And then you have to

go on this whole questline where, where

she keeps teleporting all over the place

and you gotta follow her around. And then

she eventually winds up at the Haligtree

place, and then you gotta fight some

random miniboss that's in a sewer in a

drain place. And then after you fought

that, then you get 2 options to either

help Millicent or Or you can help her

sisters defeat Millicent. I chose to help

Millicent because I felt like it'd be

weird to betray her. And then after you

help her take down her sisters, she

disappears somewhere. And then when you go

back to Gowry's shack, he'll be— he'll be

sitting on a chair and he'll be kind of

upset that you saved Millicent for some

reason, which makes me believe he's not a

nice guy. So hit him in the face with your

weapon and then he'll drop the Flock's

Canvas talisman. And that's the end of

that questline, which was quite a pain to

get through. I thought that because I

already burned down the Erdtree, I thought

I couldn't finish this quest anymore, but

I was wrong. And it just seems that

Millicent pings around all over the map to

different locations, and you've got to

figure out where she is and keep

exhausting all of her dialogue options.

It's kind of a mess if you try doing this

quest after you've already defeated all

the bosses because it doesn't really flow

in the natural order anymore. But I still

recommend doing it because you get a

really nice talisman which really gives a

nice boost to your faith spells and

incantations. It really is a noticeable

upgrade to your damage. Another problem is

fighting bosses. You really need to get

summons that can tank the boss well

because if you're going to be focusing on

spamming this frenzied burst at bosses,

you're really not going to stand a chance

if the boss is coming right at you.

You'll never have an opportunity to

actually fire the thing. You're probably

going to be very squishy. I put almost all

my points into Faith until it capped out

at around 80 or 90, and then I put the

rest of the points into stuff like Vigor,

Stamina, Endurance. So yeah, that's how I

made my fire mage. I think it's a pretty

good fire pyromancer build. Maybe there's

better ways of doing it out there. Let me

know if you have upgrades or improvements

that I could add to this build. But I

think Frenzied Burst is a pretty

overpowered spell. I've heard it's really

overpowered in PvP as well. Apparently It

takes about 2 shots to take down almost

any player in PvP, and it can also

stunlock them. I haven't tried it out in

PvP yet because I'm more of a PvE player.
