Elden Ring - SAMURAI KATANA Build [AaTYZebt0nc]

Hello and welcome back to a new Elden Ring

build video. Today I'll show you how to

make the ultimate samurai build and

playstyle. So if you're a lover of Japan

and you're into stuff like ninjas and

shinobis and katanas, then maybe this is

the kind of look and playstyle that you're

aiming for. So first of all, the most

important thing when you want to play as a

samurai in Elden Ring is looking like a

samurai, and you can get a samurai armor

set pretty easily pretty early on in the

game without too much trouble. You want to

go to the Caelid region, which is towards

the east of the starting zone, and it's

pretty easy to get here. You don't need

any special keys, or you don't need to

defeat any kind of bosses. You can

probably get here at level 1 if you avoid

the enemies. And you need to find this

merchant called Isolated Merchant Shack.

He's sitting by a fire, and he'll have an

entire samurai armor set for you, which

can be purchased for only 4,500 runes. I

You can get all kinds of powerful weapons

more other samurai set that I know of.

Maybe there's a third one, but I don't

know if there is. And the second set is

called White Reed Armor. You can find it

in the snowy area, which I can't get to

right now because I just started a new

game and I can't be bothered to defeat all

the bosses to get there again. Basically,

it looks like this. It's more of an

elegant-looking samurai armor compared to

the first one, which is called Land of

Reeds Armor. And the difference between

these 2 sets is basically just visual,

and I think it looks pretty nice. You've

got this one-sided armor shoulder armor

thing, and you've got these baggy robe

kind of sleeves and trousers. So it has

more of an elegant, refined look compared

to the rugged look of the Land of Reeds

armor set. So it really comes down to a

matter of taste depending on which kind of

visual look you would prefer. Okay, so now

we have the samurai armor and we're

looking very samurai-y. The next important

thing is the katanas, and the great thing

about Elden Ring is there's a huge

selection of katanas in the game. As you

can see, I've got— I think I've got all of

the katanas you can get in the game. I

can't really show you or explain to you

how to get each one because it will take

ages and I have to go to each area all

over again, so I'm afraid you're gonna

have to Google each one. I think my

favorite katana has to be Rivers of Blood.

Has quite a nice special attack. Nagakiba

and Uchigatana are good if you want to

apply your own Ashes of War because all

the other katanas have their own special

attacks. And you can also dual wield

katanas, so that's pretty cool, very

stylish if you want to do kind of like a

twin katana fighting style. I like this

Rivers of Blood katana because it has this

cool ability called Corpse Piler, and it

does like a load of slashes in front of

you at enemies that are nearby. So yeah,

very powerful, very cool looking. But if

you don't fancy that and you'd prefer to

put your own Ashes of War on a katana,

then there's only 2 katanas you can do

that with the Uchigatana and Nagakiba.

And some of my favorite Ashes of War for

katana playstyles have to be the Seppuku

Ashes of War, which basically just stabs

yourself and then gives you a buff to

bleed attacks. Bleed attacks are very good

with katanas because katanas naturally

have a blood loss buildup effect, so it's

good to boost that. It's good to try and

strengthen that blood loss buildup effect.

But you could also put different things

like Unsheathe, which is a very

samurai-looking attacks. Kind of boring

though, it's just like a basic attack.

And then I got randomly attacked by this

boss, came out of nowhere, which 2-shotted

me, which wasn't great. This boss is

really annoying actually, Bell Bearing

Hunter. It just kind of randomly spawns

when you change the time, when you pass

time at a grace location. It sometimes

just randomly appears and it's really

powerful. I haven't been able to take it

down yet. Anyway, so yeah, Unsheathe just

basically does Well, it sheathes your

weapon and then charges up to do a

charge-up attack, but it's nothing really

special. I'd rather have something like

Seppuku or Blood Tax or Bloody Slash,

but it does look very Japanese-y, so if

you're going for that look, then you might

want to consider it. And there's a few

other Ashes of War that have very plain

kind of slashing attacks. There's Double

Slash, which does a few slashes, so if you

don't want anything fancy, you want

something that looks more traditional,

then this might be something you're

interested in. And then there's also Sword

Dance, which just does like a bunch of

spinning attacks. But in my opinion, the

more interesting Ashes of War are the

blood-based special attacks. So you've got

Blood Blade, which shoots out this

projectile quite rapidly. It does good

damage, builds up the blood loss thing so

it can trigger the bleed effect, and it

just does like a bit of damage to your own

health as you cut yourself and spray the

enemy. And we also have Bloody Slash,

which does a very similar thing, but it

does more damage. However, it takes longer

to charge up, which leaves you a bit

vulnerable. And this also does damage to

yourself. It's kind of weird how you cut

yourself and spray the enemy with your own

blood, and somehow that does massive

damage. But that's just how Elden Ring

works sometimes. But I think out of these

2, Bloody Blade is a lot better just

because you get to shoot off those

projectiles much more rapidly. But the

coolest and most Japanese-y samurai

ability you can have is the Seppuku one.

And this is really cool because it

basically just amplifies your blood

building, blood attacks. Really good, and

you can actually apply it to both weapons

when you're dual wielding. It is a little

bit fiddly to do because if you sheathe

your weapon, then the effect disappears.

But if you equip your left hand and then

do Seppuku and then re-equip your right

hand, then you can get the effect on both

weapons at the same time. And as you can

see, it's very deadly because basically

every attack, or almost every attack on

the first hit, is going to trigger the

bleeding effect. Now I'm not really doing

a great job at showing you how powerful

this is because I'm getting hit in the

face quite a lot, but it is really good

and very deadly if you can actually get a

hit in without getting combo attacks

non-stop by bloody NPCs. But as you can

see, I am triggering the bleed effect on

the very first hits. Actually, on every

hit I'm getting a bleed trigger, which is

very good, does really good damage. And

when you combine this with the Mimic Tear,

you basically have you and your mimic

constantly triggering bleed effects on

bosses and tougher enemies. And yeah, you

can just absolutely destroy almost

anything in this game. The game just

becomes really easy when you have this.

And then last but not least, I would like

to show you my favorite talismans for

Samurai playstyle and bleeding type of

builds. So we have Lord of Blood's

Exaltation, which is really good because

It does blood loss in vicinity increases

attack power. So a lot of bleeding will be

happening almost all the time, so you'll

constantly have this buff on you,

hopefully. And then next we have Rotten

Winged Sword Insignia, greatly raises

attack power with successive attacks. So

you'll be doing a lot of slashing and

successive attacks anyway, and doing that

will give you a boost in your attack

power, which is very helpful. And then

next we have the Dagger Talisman, which is

really good for enhancing critical hits,

which will increase your damage by a lot.

And then Shard of Alexander, which boosts

the attack power of skills. Now I'm not

sure if this actually boosts the attack

power when you apply Seppuku, because

Seppuku isn't really an attack that you do

on an enemy, it's like a self-buffing

thing. So maybe this doesn't really

benefit you when you're using Seppuku,

and maybe you want to use a different

Ashes of War in combination with this

talisman. There's also another Ashes of

War called Blood Tax, and this is really

cool because it does like a bunch of

pokes, which builds up the blood loss

thing really fast. In combination with

your mimic also using it, it can be very

deadly against bosses when you're just

poking them in the backside. So yeah,

that was my Samurai build and playstyle
