Today we're going to be looking at some

top tips and tricks for your brand new

Samsung Fold 6, starting with video

wallpapers.

Yes, you can actually use videos for your

wallpaper or your lock screen.

Just go to a video, for example this one—

anything's fine as long as it's a video—

and then you press these dots at the top

right and press set as wallpaper.

And then you can choose to set it as your

lock screen.

So this is how it's going to look like as

your lock screen, and then you can choose

to

trim it.

Now the maximum you can have is 15 seconds

and then it just loops it forever.

So you can trim it, it can be shorter than

15 seconds if you want it to be just 5

seconds, you can do that too.

So you can trim it like this

or like that,

and that's how it's going to look like.

So I've got my cat as my lock screen and

press done, and that's it done.

So if you go back to your home screen and

then lock the phone by double tapping and

then bring up the lock screen, my cat is

now moving on my lock screen.

So you can also do this for the COVID

mode.

So by closing it, see, look, the cat is

also on my external display lock screen as

well.

So the way you do that is by— you have to

choose the video as your wallpaper when

you're in the external display when it's

closed.

And then you go to Set as Wallpaper, Lock

Screen, and then it will choose a new

aspect ratio for the video to fit the

external display so it looks nice.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can have

a video as your wallpaper when the phone

is unlocked.

It only works for the lock screen and when

you're getting a phone call and also your

alarm clock screen.

Next, let me show you how to customize the

side button or the lock button.

So go to Advanced Features and then go to

Side Button.

And you can now change what the side

button does when you double press it.

It's kind of like Apple's Action Button

where you can customize the buttons to do

anything you want.

So usually by default it's going to open

the camera, but I changed it to open the

torch, which is pretty useful.

So you can also make it open any app you

want, so it's up to you really.

You can make it open Settings or the

camera.

Or the App Store, or Twitter.

So I think Torch is kind of useful, I

guess, or maybe a calculator could be

useful.

So when you close it, now watch this, and

when I double press the action— I mean the

side button— it now turns on my torch, or

my flashlight.

So I can easily turn on my torch and turn

it off by double pressing it.

It's pretty useful actually.

So if I ever need to turn my torch on

quickly, I just double press it and boom,

there it is, my torch.

Turn it off again.

I guess calculator could be quite useful

as well, so change it to calculator and

now it'll open my calculator where I can

do some mathematicians— mathematics, or

however you say it.

And then you close it, you can reopen it,

go into external screen mode,

and there's my calculator.

So that's pretty good if you want to do

some quick calculations.

So if you want to make the sound much

better, I don't know why this is not

turned on by default.

So many of these settings are really good,

but they're turned off by default.

It's so stupid.

So just go in settings and search Dolby

Atmos and turn it on.

Really, that's all you have to do, and

then you'll get like a boosted sound

system.

And you can change what the sound is

depending on what you do, like suited for

movies or for music or for listening to

voices.

I like voice because I watch a lot of

YouTube videos, which where I'm mainly

just listening to someone talk about

something, and it's better to have the

voices louder and clearer.

You can also have an equalizer, so you can

boost or reduce the bass or the dynamic or

the treble, stuff like that, depending on

what you like to listen to.

And also you can adapt the sound to your

age.

Um, yeah, allow.

So if you're under 30, you might want to

boost high frequencies.

If you're 30 to 60 and you're old like me,

then you can boost the high to mid

frequencies.

And if you're really old Over 60, you can

boost all the frequencies, also known as

turning up the volume.

So yeah, lots of useful sound settings in

the sound quality and effect settings.

Definitely turn on Dolby Atmos, it boosts

the sound volume and makes it just much

nicer to listen to.

Eye Comfort Shield, very useful.

Just search eye into the settings and turn

on the Eye Comfort Shield, and you can do

adaptive brightness and also hit Eye

Comfort Shield.

So it basically just makes the screen look

kind of yellow, so when it's dark, the

ultra-bright screen is not going to hurt

your eyes, and it's just much more

relaxing on the eyes if you're in a dark

room.

Next tip: did you know you can batch

select apps and move them around?

So instead of holding it down like this

and moving it around one by one, you can

hold it down and then press Select and

then just batch select a bunch of apps you

want to move around, and then drag it, it

bunches them all up into one point where

your finger is, and now you can just move

them all over the place like that, like

this.

And you can just do select, grab them all

again,

move them back.

So it makes moving your apps around and

organizing your screen much easier than

doing it one by one.

I remember on the iPhone you have to do it

one by one, you can't just batch select

and apps and it took forever to rearrange

my screen.

Okay, on to the next tip.

We're going to talk about the Notes app

and the S Pen.

So there's some really cool features when

handwriting.

It's kind of hard to show, but on this

part of the menu you can see these little

3 pencils and you want to press the middle

one, make sure that's turned on, and it

aligns your handwriting like this.

So Imagine you're writing, this white line

will appear and it will now align your

writing with the line.

Hello there,

I am here.

So as you can see, it will automatically

turn your

handwriting— if you got like bad

handwriting,

it will now arrange it so it's in a

straight line.

So it's pretty useful for that.

And there's also some other cool things,

like there's this shapes tool at the top

right, and it basically just lets you turn

things into shapes.

Like that will turn into a square, that

will turn into a square, this will turn

into a perfect circle, this will try turn

into a triangle.

So if you want to do shapes, I think you

can do an arrow.

Yeah, you can do arrows.

And it'll just turn it into a very perfect

looking shape depending on what you draw.

And you can also do sketch to image— I

mean, AI sketch to image— whilst you are

in the Notes app.

So if you go down to a new page and then

you just try and draw like a house or

tree, like a tree,

and then you press the AI button which is

here the little stars, and you do Sketch

to Image, and then you trace around your

sketch,

and then do Generate, and it will now

generate it into an AI-generated version

of your rubbish sketch.

So let's see what this looks like.

And there, wow, looks like pretty nice

tree, and you got different options like

that.

Well, that, that looks kind of gross.

That looks like a veiny ballsack.

The hell's that?

Or you can go back and choose different

filter, like watercolor.

Doesn't have to be the black and white

sketch.

Takes a bit of time.

Okay, so you've got a watercolor sketch of

the tree, and then you do add to notes,

and now you got— oh, what happened to it?

That's weird.

Try again.

I'm sure I pressed done.

Oh, for some reason it added it down to

the bottom page.

I thought it would just add it onto this

page, but it added it onto a new page.

So yeah, now I've got the sketch of the

tree, and I could resize it, move it

around, place it down here, and I could

write notes next to it.

Like that.

Yeah, so that's pretty useful if you like

taking notes and drawing pictures.

Next tip, if you bring up the S Pen menu

by— it's either, it's either like a little

pen symbol up here and you press it, or

you can hover over the screen and press a

little button and it'll come up, and you

get the magnify thing, which you do by

pressing add and you add magnify.

You now have like a little magnifying

glass when you hover over with your S Pen,

which can be quite useful for some tasks.

For example, you've got a photo and you

want to, for some reason, look at each

part of your face very closely,

and you can do that.

It's like a little magnifying glass, and

you can change the magnification level up

here, so you can have 150% to 300%.

Yeah, it's a nice little tool if you want

to zoom in on certain parts of the screen.

Next, I want to talk about some of the

tools you can use with AI and your images.

So I've got this image here, and you press

the AI

and you can now select things to remove

from the photo.

So I can just remove myself entirely by

tapping on myself, and it automatically

selects me.

And now I can either—

wait, you gotta long hold it down to drag

it.

I can now—

I could now move myself around like this,

or I can make myself bigger

and relocate myself.

So I can make myself bigger so I come

closer to the camera, or I can just delete

myself completely.

So you press generate,

and then it would completely remove myself

from the picture and use AI to patch up

the empty space that was left behind.

So if we can zoom in So look at that.

Wow, that is really impressive.

You would have no idea I was standing

there.

It's perfectly recreated that mountain in

the background, and it's perfectly

created— recreated the sky as well.

So if we get rid of that, I mean, if we go

to the original, it looks like that.

And now, I mean, the original photo looks

like I Photoshopped myself into the photo.

That looks like I'm Photoshopped into it

now.

This one looks like the original.

It's so good.

And then like I said before, you can

make yourself smaller.

So I could make myself really small

and then put myself further in the

background,

and it will look pretty convincing.

Watch this, watch.

This AI stuff for images is really useful.

Because you can just get rid of things or

you can add things, which I'll show you in

a minute.

So now look, I'm now in the background,

but the original one I was, I was here and

now I'm back there.

It looks like I've just moved.

It's kind of funny.

Okay, so not only can AI remove stuff or

move stuff around in the photo, you can

also do sketch to image.

And now we can add stuff to the photo.

Now I did this earlier and it turned out

pretty well.

I'm going to try and do it again.

But I drew a bird like this.

Okay, so that's a bird on my hand.

Let's see if AI can turn it into a

realistic bird.

You can also do other things like you can

draw hats or you can put sunglasses on

yourself.

Yeah, so it's now put a seagull, but it's

kind of messed up my hand, and it's— oh,

that looks pretty good, but my hand is

weird.

I don't know if I can get a better view.

It's not really sharp.

Oh, that looks pretty good.

Like, I've got a seagull on my hand ready

to take off.

My hand is messed up though.

Can't zoom up on it.

I did these ones earlier, so I took a

picture of my cat, This is the original

picture, and then I drew a hat onto it

and a bow tie, sunglasses, sunglasses and

the tie.

So you can do some pretty fun stuff using

the sketch to image on photos, and it

looks pretty good apart from

the way that it's all white.

I don't know why it makes things all white

sometimes.

And then if you swipe up on an image, you

get more AI options.

So you've got live effect, Background

Blur, Erase Reflections, and Remaster.

Live Effects is pretty cool, so it would

make this kind of moving image,

so it would kind of like look 3D as the

background moves around.

It's kind of interesting, it's not super

useful.

And then you've got other things like, uh,

Background Blur, Erase Reflections, and

Remaster.

It's going to make it just look like a

better image.

It says no remastering needed.

So yeah, those are some extra tips and

tricks for the Samsung Fold 6.
