Stress Testing Helldivers 2's Most EXPLOSIVE PLASMA Gun - INSANE DAMAGE!

Hello, welcome back to the video. So today

we're going to be testing out one of the

newest weapons in Helldivers 2, the

PLAS-101 Purifier. So this is a plasma

rifle firing a bolt of superheated gas

which explodes on impact. Each shot needs

to be charged up fully before it can be

fired. Has medium armor penetrating, is

charge-up and explosive with 250 damage.

So it sounds pretty interesting. You get

it from the Polar Patriots warbond page on

the last page, and it's there. So I'm

guessing it's gonna be like the Plasma

Scorcher, but the main difference is you

charge up and it's medium armor

penetrating. I don't know if it really

does much more damage because the Scorcher

says 200 and the Purifier says 250,

so it only does 50 extra damage. Maybe it

does more damage when it's fully charged,

but it can only be fired When it's fully

charged. So seems like it only does an

extra 50 damage. Don't know if it's single

shots, but it has armor penetrating. So

let's give it a try and see what it's

like. Okay, so just landed. Double-check

to make sure I did equip it. Purifier.

Yes. Okay, so we've got 15

rounds and it looks like this with little

blue bumps on it. If you hold it down, it

charges up. I don't know if it explodes

like the railgun does. No one uses a

railgun anymore. What happened to it? I

don't see anyone using the railgun now.

So this charges up, but I don't think it

explodes. Yeah, so you have to— it won't

fire if you just half charge it. It's got

to be fully charged. So have a look at

what this does. We need some medium armor

enemies to really test it out. I reckon

against light armor it's just gonna

one-shot them. So if we can find some

enemies, that would be nice. Oh, there's

medium armor. Eh,

2 shots, 3 shots.

It's like it's not doing anything. I went

down after about 5 shots.

It does seem to stagger them as well,

which is pretty cool.

I guess it's okay. I'm not really blown

away by it. Maybe it's better against

Terminids. Try some Terminids later.

You can't really rapid-fire, I guess.

Against the small ones, it should just

one-shot them. Can't see anything.

Yeah, I kind of feel like this was a waste

of 80 medals, but you need

to try stuff out, don't you?

There's barely any enemies. What the hell

is this? See how it does against the

chainsaw guy. I think that's a chainsaw

guy. I don't really see anything.

I think that's a— what is that? Is it a

Hulk? I don't think it's gonna

do anything against the Hulk because that

has heavy armor.

What's that? Oh, stupid flying things.

See what it does against these shield

guys. Can't even— I ran out of stims.

Hahaha, it's so annoying. You can't find

any enemies and all of a sudden they just

appear all around you. So irritating

sometimes. You're trying to do something

for a video and it just won't work.

This map kind of sucks because I can't see

down a resupply, it lands up there. Oh, I

can get up there. Oh my god, heal, heal,

heal. Oh my god.

Let's try it out on this group.

It's so rubbish. Look,

I keep getting blown up. It takes

ages to charge and it barely does any

damage.

Look, it's so bad.

It's like not doing anything.

Oh my god, I want my 80 medals back.

Could have bought the grenade pistol.

Yeah, I guess the explosive AoE is pretty

nice sometimes.

It's kind of like the railgun but rubbish,

back when the railgun was actually good.

Look, it's not doing anything to these

guys, it's like just bouncing off their

shield and stunning them.

I guess it's quite nice you can stun them,

sort of.

Okay, let's see if it's any better against

Terminids. Look, this Crusher died

on this— is that a mini-nuke? Oh,

a bomb. Where are the enemies?

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

Great.

Oh, there's some. So it one-shots these,

went straight through its legs. I really

hate how you have to charge it up. It's so

bad at clearing these. I mean, it's got a

bit of explosive power, so it could blow

them up, and it's got medium armor

penetrating. This thing's just getting

pushed around. Kills the— should

do damage on those armored ones as well.

Seems more interesting against Terminids.

I really hate the Automatons because you

can't do anything. Half the time you're

getting blown up by rockets. I hate

these stupid things. Get out my face!

God, this is such a rubbish gun.

Whoa, why are there so many up there?

This thing is so bad. Look at that.

I can't be bothered,

I'll just melee. Melee's easier.

And I'm gonna die. Yep, dead again.

What a rubbish gun. God, I miss my

shotgun. Shotgun's so much better, any

kind of shotgun. Would be

better. I don't know why you'd use this.

It takes ages to charge up. At least I've

got a 500 kg bomb. Haha,
