outside, and they go out on the weekend

because Christmas was on the weekend. So

I had a turkey and I made myself Christmas

food and had a Christmas tree.

We didn't really do anything on Christmas

Day. We went out on Saturday, which is

then we went to a Ferris wheel, and then

we had food, and then there were

fireworks. It was okay, I guess.

The Chinatown place is weird. It felt

about. But Thailand isn't really like

that for the most part. You have to search

out those places. I felt like I was in

street food video, but I don't think you

guys would watch it.

the travel stuff,

like walking around the streets, eating

food, doing stuff.

I don't know why my viewers don't care

about that stuff, because those videos

always get the lowest views, lowest watch

massive. He used to have like hundreds of

YouTuber, and now his channel is just kind

of dead, and this new stuff is not really

found like 6 different channels and I

swear some of them have the same Thai

he's got like 6 or 7 channels. I bet it's

all the same guy making the exact same

content over different channels. And

they're all just like street food girl in

You can game the algorithm if you have a

formula, but you need that kind of stuff.

do with your bloatedness. It's weird

because I remember when I cycled a lot,

back home in England. When I come home, I

swear my face looked a lot tighter. It's

like exercising and doing cycling makes

your face tighter, and then just sitting

around all day, and then especially after

you wake up, your face is kind of bloated.

neighbor look at me. It was a woman. She

front of a house. And then I saw her

looking at me and I was scared she was

going to phone the police. I just turned

around. I was like, hi. It was so

suspicious. But I thought he was driving

round and round trying to find me because

I could hear cars driving, but it was

someone else's car. I could hear a car

that's him. So I ducked down behind this

other guy's car. And then this Thai man

came in his motorbike, on his moped. And I

forgot what I said. I was like, excuse me,

do you speak English? And he said no. So I

started typing into Google Translate,

my girlfriend's ex-boyfriend is chasing

me, please help me. And then he

like read it and was like, oh, I was

scared. I thought, what if this guy's

crazy too? And he like kidnaps me in his

basement. He said, he pointed at this

entrance. He said, you could hide here.

So I dragged my bag over to— I was

exhausted because I just sprinted. I don't

know how far I sprinted. It was like 5

minutes of sprinting, but I was carrying

16 or 15 kg on my bag.

My bag was so heavy. The laptop, the

batteries, the Switch, the LiveU. It was

like army military gear. I don't know how

many kgs I think. In the army, they do

training with like a 16 kg backpack. I had

like 15 kg backpack on me.

My legs were destroyed for the next week

after that. I could barely walk. My thigh

muscles were just completely shredded. I

could barely walk upstairs. I had to like

limp upstairs.

I probably lost all that muscle. I

probably gained some muscle from doing

that. I lost it now because I stopped

using my legs again.

I actually thought about just ditching my

backpack and just legging it, but I had so

much stuff in it. I had like probably like

$5,000 of gear in my backpack.

I had all my phones in it, my GoPro.

That would have been expensive if I lost

trying to stop me from walking off. So I

tried turning to the woman. I was like,

And then I put him on the phone to my

girlfriend. My girlfriend nearly was in a

car crash because she was at work. And I,

And then she got into her car and she was

like speeding. She was probably going like

150 kilometers per hour.

What a mess. And she went to the house. I

had to tell her I'm not in the house. I'm

down the street hiding behind a car. I

thought the ex was still at the house.

I think it's been a pretty eventful year,

better than 2021. 2021 was pretty funny as

well because Pia got dropped off at my

house in the middle of the night, and then

there was like a tiny spark between

me and Chihiro that thinks that we could

get back together. I'm pretty sure if

Japan reopened 2021, I could have gotten

back with Chihiro. Because she didn't have

a boyfriend. I'm pretty sure she didn't

have a boyfriend until May 2021 because

she was talking to me a lot. She was

messaging me first as well. She would

message me stuff like, good morning, what

are you doing? Just like, hey, what's up?

Kind of messages. And then we'd chat. I

bought her the Apple Watch. The Apple

Watch cost me like $600. You know, I think

it was like ¥70,000. How much is that in

dollars?

It's like $500. Oh my God.

And she doesn't even wear it. You see all

of her new videos and pictures, she's not

wearing it. And there's only a few videos

and pictures where she's wearing it. I

think she's wearing it in one of her

YouTube videos. Which one was it?

One of the first few of her videos. You

can see she's wearing the Apple Watch. So

she was happy that I sent it to her and

she was happy to wear it as this gift from

Daniel. But then somewhere along the line,

she took it off. I don't know if she sold

it. She might have sold it because it's

quite expensive and she could probably get

a couple hundred dollars. She could

probably get like $400. Out of it if she

kept the box and everything. But she was

so happy when I sent it to her. She was

phoning me and phoning my mum, and then

she phoned me and she was like, my

husband, thank you. I sent it to her on

her birthday.

And then she— and then I remember she

found out how expensive it was, and then

she asked me, Daniel, why did you send me

such an expensive gift? And I said, I just

felt bad. I wanted to do something nice.

I felt bad about everything that happened

between us. And we chatted

on a friendly basis up until around

October in 2021. Then we stopped

chatting and I thought, okay, I really

lost her. She's got a boyfriend. I'm just

going to make why I hate my ex-wife videos

again. And then she got upset.

And now I think she hates me now.

Do I know any YouTubers similar to my

style of vlogging? Not really.

There's a couple incel guys who make stuff

like, oh, why my life will always suck,

why I'll be alone forever, why girls don't

like me. Stuff like life

update videos. There's a few other incel

guys, but they just got tiny channels,

like a couple thousand subs. I don't think

the whole whining about why my life sucks

is a very viable niche on YouTube.

I don't think there's a big audience for

it. Who would have thought it?

I'm probably the only YouTuber That has—

I'm probably the biggest channel who has

the biggest audience for this niche of,

of content where we just whine about how

Do you remember when Christmas used to be

about getting nice Christmas presents and

that's all you cared about? When I was a

kid, all I cared about was getting a

present. I would ask for 2 video games.

My mum would let me have 2 brand new

PlayStation games or Xbox games. And

because games were expensive and I didn't

have money as a kid, Christmas and

birthdays were the only times I could get

a new game. So I'd be

really looking forward to it.

And I'd be thinking— you had to think

carefully because there'd be a lot of new

games out. I can only choose 2, so I need

to pick carefully. Sometimes I regretted

it. I remember I asked my mum to get me

this Alien game from the Alien movies,

and my friend got 007: Tomorrow Never

Dies, and I thought, oh damn, his game

looks so much more fun. And my Alien game,

it's one of the Alien horror FPS games,

and it was too scary. I hated it.

But then ever since I made my own money,

Christmas wasn't exciting anymore because

I can just buy my own stuff. And then my

mum would just get me like underwear or

socks, so I'd never get interesting

presents. No one knows what I would

actually want because I feel like no one

actually knows what I'm into. So if you

really wanted to impress me, you could get

me maybe that Aya Neo 2 handheld

console. Looks pretty cool. Or maybe

something I can use for my channel, like,

I don't know, like a new microphone.

Or what if they get me like a really nice

webcam and I don't want to use it because

it makes my skin look bad? Then I'd feel

annoyed. I mean, I'd feel guilty for not

using it. So I don't actually like

it when people get me gifts because they

can never get me the gift I want. And then

I feel guilty for not using it.

I remember my sister got me something. I

put it in the bin because it was too big.

She got me this big Stormtrooper phone

holder thing. It was like this big and you

put your phone into it and it holds your

phone like a big Stormtrooper. And I knew,

I kind of knew me and Chihiro were gonna

break up, so I tried to leave it at home,

but my mum kept saying, Daniel, you forgot

your present. So I had to put it in my

bag. I ended up having to ditch it in

Japan. I put it in the bin in one of the

hotels because after I left Chihiro, I

didn't have space to put this massive

Stormtrooper in my bag. I think my sister

found out about it because after that she

said, Well, since I know you like to

travel light, I got you this small thing.

I felt bad because she got me that gift,

but then I couldn't carry around with my

backpack. My backpack was so full of stuff

and I, I needed space.

I put Mila's Christmas present in the bin

as well. Remember Mila got me that big Art

of War, Sun Tzu's The Art of War book,

and it was like this big and this thick,

300 pages. I had to put it in the bin. I

tore out the page where she wrote that

handwritten message. I can't

carry a massive book in my bag. I need

space in my backpack for important things.

book with me.
