DO NOT BUY THE MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 6

Hi and welcome to today's video,

and I don't have good news. So I know it's

only been a day, I've only been using the

Surface Pro for about a day, but I can

easily say already I've come to my

conclusion that it's not good. I don't

like it. It's not a good tablet, and it's

an overpriced laptop. As a laptop,

it's way too much money for what it is,

and compared to the iPad Pro Damn,

I thought I loved the iPad Pro as much as

I possibly could already, but after using

the Surface Pro and comparing it to this,

to the iPad Pro, my love for the iPad Pro

has just multiplied by 500,000 times.

It just made me realize that the iPad Pro

is so good as a tablet.

So if you're a fan of the Surface Pro,

then you're not going to like what I'm

about to say, because this— I cannot

recommend this, this product. I honestly

cannot recommend anyone buying this. I

don't know why anyone would want to buy

it. So there's going to be 2 types of

people who are interested in buying the

Surface Pro: someone who wants a tablet

and someone who wants a laptop. Number

one, if you want a tablet, do not buy

this. This is a terrible tablet. Buy the

iPad Pro if you want a tablet. If you want

a laptop, then yeah, you can connect a

keyboard and a mouse to it and it works

fine as, as a laptop. But then you have to

ask yourself, why would you pay £1,000 for

the specs you get in the Surface Pro? The

specs in the Surface Pro aren't worth

£1,000. You can get an MSI gaming laptop

which has specs that blow the Surface Pro

out of the water when it comes to specs

and cost the same. When it comes to specs,

it's just very weak. It has an i5

processor. I don't even know what graphics

card it has. It probably has some kind of

crappy integrated graphics card. Only has

128GB SSD, which I've already used all

of because I downloaded Rainbow Six,

which is 64GB. And you actually only get

about 80 to 90GB of storage because about

30GB has the operating system on it. So

you only get about 80 to 90 And then you

can just download one big game like

Rainbow Six, and then you've used all of

it up. Compared to the MSI gaming laptop,

which costs the same amount as this, the

MSI gaming laptop has a Core i7, a GTX

1060 graphics card, which is a really good

graphics card, and it has a 128GB SSD

plus a 1TB hard drive, which is massive.

So where do I even begin? Why do I not

like it? I think the, the first word that

comes to mind when I think about using

this is, is lag and

unresponsiveness. It's just not fluid,

it's not smooth. When I use the iPad Pro,

it feels good to use. Everything works

properly, it's fast, it's buttery, it's

fluid, and it just feels good to use.

When you use Surface Pro, everything's

stuttery, everything's laggy. Windows as

an operating system is good for computers

and laptops. Windows as an operating

system on tablets is not a good operating

system. Windows was just not designed from

the ground up for tablets like the iPad

Pro is. Okay, so let me show you— let me

show you some examples of why it's not

very smooth and fluid. So the Surface

Pro, like the iPad Pro, can also do

split-screen multifunction when it comes

to windows. Uh, not windows, I mean,

you know, different, different windows.

So you, you swipe down and you move it to

the side, and then you can choose another

browser or application or program. And

when you look at this, it just looks very

unresponsive, very laggy. Can you just see

how it jitters and it's not smooth? And

look, it's just kind of vanished now. I

don't know why that happened. So we can

bring it back like this, and it just

doesn't feel good. It doesn't feel snappy

like the iPad Pro does. Also, another

thing you have to remember is when you're

using the Surface Pro, you're going to be

doing everything on browsers, web

browsers. There's no apps. Well, there's a

Microsoft Store where they have apps, but

they're all crappy looking. There's no

official apps made by the official

companies. It's just full of third-party

rubbish, rubbish-looking apps that look

like you'd get a virus if you downloaded

them. And it doesn't feel good, and I've

just realized that I don't like using web

browsers. I miss using apps on the iPad.

Apps are just so much, so much better

because they've been designed from the

ground up to be used on a tablet. These

web browsers, they just look not very

good. They look like they're supposed to

be used on a desktop or a laptop. And I

don't like using web browsers. I like

using applications, mobile applications.

And when you're using the Surface Pro,

you're just going to have to accept the

fact that you're going to be doing

everything on a web browser. You want to

go on Amazon, you're going to have to go

on amazon.com. You want to look at

YouTube, you're going to have to use the

YouTube website. There's no apps and

there's no mobile version of the website.

And in comparison, let me just pour some

tomato juice first.

I know this is, this is a really strange

thing to be saying, but honestly speaking,

the iPad Pro's multitasking capabilities

blow the Surface Pro out of the water.

Number one, look at the smoothness of the

split-screen app thing when you slide this

left to right. Look how smooth it is,

it's so responsive. There's no jittery—

there's no jittering, there's no lag.

It just swipes from left to right really

fluidly, and the apps don't crash.

They don't just suddenly vanish off the

side of the screen. It just works. And

then you also have this swipe from the

left or right like this, and then you've

got a 3rd app you can have on the side.

And you can't do that on the Surface Pro.

The multitasking capabilities on the iPad

Pro is so much better. And there's another

thing you can do, like I mentioned before.

If you're playing a game, you can— whilst

you're playing the game, you can swipe

this out from the side if you're waiting

for something in the game, just chat to

people. Or you can even have a little

window at the top for YouTube playing

whilst you play the game. You can't do

that on the Surface Pro. Everything just

feels more difficult to do and more

cumbersome on the iPad— I mean, the

Surface Pro. For example, Right now I'm

trying to launch a game, This War of Mine,

and I don't know what's happened, but this

screen, the resolution has just completely

effed up. I mean, look, it's all weird,

out of shape, doesn't fit the screen

properly. Saying something about fix apps

that are blurry, and I don't know what's

happening. There's just so many times

where things go wrong. Now it's opening.

Look, the screen isn't fitting properly on

the on the screen. So now I'm trying

to open this War of Mine. Does it open?

Yes, it does. And yeah, you can play Steam

games on the Surface Pro, but most of the

games aren't designed for touch, touch

controls. You're going to have to plug in

a keyboard and mouse. And the problem with

this War of Mine is, even though it works

properly with touch, once you're in the

game, you can't really get out of the

game. How am I supposed to get out of the

The only way I can get out of the game is

by quitting, going into the menu and then

pressing quit. What if I don't want to

quit? What if I just want to minimize it

to check my messages or something? I can't

minimize the game. Look, swipe left isn't

doing anything. I don't have any buttons

to press. Swiping everywhere does nothing.

I have no choice but to just I can't even

press the quit button because— I don't

even know what's happening right now.

This is such a mess. Look, I can't press

any of the buttons because for some reason

the screen isn't aligned properly. The

resolution of the game isn't matching up

with what my fingers are pressing.

It's really weird. I think I'm gonna have

to plug in my mouse to get out of this

situation. Luckily I have this wireless

mouse where I have to plug in this USB

receiver. And then I can use my mouse.

Hopefully I can get out of this mess now.

Okay, so my mouse is working. Okay, so

I've exited the game. I have no idea what

just happened. There's so many situations

like the one I just showed you where

things keep going wrong or weird things

happen that don't happen— these weird

things don't happen on the iPad Pro.

Everything works fine on the iPad Pro.

There's no problems like this. My other

complaint is the on-screen keyboard just

isn't very good. There's— it does these

weird things where it just bugs out

randomly. For example, if I'm on Discord

and I want to chat, I press on the text

box and then I start typing and I press

Enter to send. The keyboard vanishes and

then pops back up again. It just looks

really ugly. It's very irritating, but

then afterwards it does stay in place.

But if I close it down again and then open

it up again, try and type, send, it, it

does that weird glitch and it just looks

very, looks very sloppy and janky.

And there's been other times where I've

had to enter text. For example, I was on

Steam trying to buy a game and it went to

PayPal and asked me to enter my PayPal

email address, and the on-screen keyboard

popped up and I was typing to try and

enter my email address, but no letters

were appearing in the text box. Nothing

was happening. The on-screen keyboard is

just very glitchy and doesn't feel good to

use like the iPad Pro's on-screen keyboard

feels good to use. I don't know what it is

about it. It just feels like everything,

everything just feels more difficult to

do. It doesn't feel good to use. I don't

switch on and look forward to using it

like I do with the iPad Pro. Look,

everything just looks so Look how sloppy

and choppy and laggy that is. Look how

laggy it is when I try and resize this

window. It's horrible. It feels horrible.

It feels like some kind of crappy machine

from 1999. Look at that, so unresponsive.

I do not like using this at all. I don't

know why it's so unresponsive because the

specs aren't terrible. It's an i5

processor. Latest generation of i5. And my

desktop PC at home— look, these weird

things happen as well where I have Steam

open and for some reason it glitches and

bits of the menu just pop up from Steam

and you get these weird black boxes here

and there. I don't know what that black

box is, can't get rid of it.

And it just doesn't feel good to use. It

feels, it feels a lot better to use when

you have a keyboard plugged in. Let me go

and get my keyboard. Okay, so now I have

my wireless keyboard and the mouse plugged

in, and yeah, when it's like this, it

doesn't feel too bad to use. It just feels

like you're using a laptop, but it still

feels very unresponsive and laggy. Look at

this when I'm resizing this window. Look

how choppy it is. It's so jerky

and it's not snappy at all. See how long

it takes to minimize and maximize this?

And I'm just not sure why it's so slow.

I'm on best performance on the battery

mode. You can change this down to best

battery life, then it slows down even

more. But I'm on best performance maxed

out, and it's still really sloppy like

this. Look, it feels horrible. So I can

maximize it, then start typing,

and it feels okay, I guess.

But then if you're going to use it like a

laptop, why don't you just buy a laptop?

It doesn't make any sense to buy this

instead of buying a laptop because it

feels like this is trying to be a tablet

and a laptop and it fails at both. It

fails at being a good tablet and it fails

at being a decent laptop for the money.

For the money, £1,000— £1,000 For

that amount of money, you can get a really

good laptop, and this is not a really good

laptop. It's a mediocre laptop, and it's a

crappy tablet, and I just can't imagine

why anyone would want one of these. If you

want a tablet, get the iPad Pro. That's

what I would say. Yeah, in conclusion, I

feel very disappointed. I was quite

excited about this product because I

thought, wow, a tablet that has full

Windows, a proper operating system,

desktop operating system on a tablet,

that would be great because A lot of my

problems with the iPad Pro come to— come

down to not being able to do certain

things I can do on my laptop. And I

thought if I got the Surface Pro, then

that would solve all of my problems. I can

use it as a tablet and I could do all of

my laptop stuff on it as well. Kill 2

birds with one stone. But in reality, you

end up failing to kill any birds with any

stones, and you just get 2 crappy products

rolled into one. For a very high price,

and I don't think the price justifies what

you get. Yeah, very unimpressed. I give it

a 1.2 out of 10. I'm going to return it

back to Amazon after I use it for a little

bit longer, see if it gets any better.

Maybe I'm just not used to it, I don't

know. Yeah, very, very disappointed.

I'm going back to using my iPad Pro. It's

so much better.
