DO NOT BUY Animal Crossing New Horizon - TERRIBLE game

Well, well, what do we have here? Another

overhyped game from Nintendo that everyone

is praising and talking about, and turns

out it's just another piece of rubbish.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is probably

the worst game that I've never played.

Okay, so first of all, let me just talk

about the price. This game is insanely

expensive. On the Switch Nintendo Store,

it will cost you— it will set you back

about the Great British pound. £50,

that's a lot of money just for a stupid

game where you run around chopping trees

and picking up apples and fake fishing.

And this is one of my problems with

Nintendo as a company. I think they're so

greedy for money, they're so money hungry,

even though they probably make way more

money than most other companies and they

probably make huge profits. But still,

they think that it's okay to be able to

charge £50 or £60 just for a

brand new game. And as you can obviously

see, this is a game designed children.

Look at it, it's basically a kids game.

What kid is going to have £50 just lying

around as spare change to be able to buy

one of their games? Obviously they won't

have £50 and they have to start going to

their parents, begging them to buy it for

them. It's just kind of like manipulation.

Nintendo makes a really cute, fun-looking

game, then the kid really, really wants it

and then begs their parents to buy it for

them. I think it's kind of manipulative.

So what exactly do you do in this game?

Well, that's a very good question because

I have been trying to figure figure it

out, and I just don't get it. I don't

understand what is so fun about this game.

It looks pretty boring most of the time.

You're just running about either

collecting resources, chopping down trees,

collecting wood, picking up fruits off the

ground or from trees, doing fishing and

getting fish. And then I'm guessing that

you have to build items using the

materials and resources that you collect

in the game. To build a house and then

build furniture, maybe build some kind of

farm that generates crops and food for

you. It doesn't really seem like there's

any goal or story to the game. It's just

kind of like a sandbox game that lets you

do whatever you want to do, however you

want to do it. It doesn't really seem like

a game that's going to be challenging or

difficult. It's not like a high-skilled

game where you rack up points or a high

score. It's not really a game that's going

to challenge you or make you, you know,

actually improve some kind of bodily

function I think it would be safe to say

that this game falls neatly into the

category of peaceful, relaxing gameplay

that's kind of boring to look at. Not

really much is happening, but I guess when

you play it yourself, it relaxes you and

makes you feel comfortable. I don't really

understand those kind of games. If you

want to feel relaxed or comforted, why

don't you just sit in a chair and listen

to some nice jazz music? Why play a video

game? When I play video games, I want to

play something that's exciting and

challenging, that has at least a good

story or decent gameplay. This game seems

to lack both. Seems to lack neither a

story or interesting and engaging

gameplay. And now that I think about it,

the game does actually look like Stardew

Valley, which is very cheap on Steam. You

can get it for about $5 or $10. And why

would you get Animal Crossing when you

could get Stardew Valley instead for about

a 5th of the price when basically it's the

same kind of game? You run around, you

collect stuff, you clear away stuff, you

make a farm, you make food and crops, you

buy stuff at shops. I don't really see how

that's different to this Animal Crossing

game. So why don't you just get Stardew

Valley, which is a 5th of the price? Now

for the graphic fidelity of the game, I'm

just going to have to say that

unfortunately the graphics of this game

are not quite up to my standards. I feel

like the colors are just way too washed

out and the heads of the people and the

characters are just way too big. There's

just no possibility that you could have a

head that big and still be able to run

around without falling over all of the

time. It just makes no logical sense.

It's kind of sad and a little bit

depressing that we've got a bunch of kids

doing gardening and fishing and outdoor

activities, which would be great if you're

actually doing them in the real world.

Why would I want to do gardening in a game

when I could just go out to my garden,

dig some holes, and plant some actual real

fruit and vegetable and get some real-life

results? But the saddest thing about it is

that it seems to be loads and loads of

adults playing this game, not kids. Even

though you look at this game, you think,

oh wow, this is definitely a kids' game

and only kids are going to be interested.

No, you've got legions of Nintendo fanboys

and fangirls playing this game and

actually enjoying it, which I just do not

understand. You look at this game and it's

obviously a game designed for kids. And

yeah, if I was 10 years old, I think I

would also really want to play this game

and probably have a lot of fun. But I am a

31-year-old man. There's no way in hell

that you would ever catch me playing such

a stupid-looking game and actually

enjoying it. I think I'd rather play with

my Rubik's Cube. There's kind of like this

weird thing about Nintendo fans who are

adults. Yeah, I know they probably played

Nintendo when they were kids and they're

big fans of Super Mario, Mario and any—

everything. But they grow up into adults,

and you think maybe their tastes change

and they'll play more mature games like

Rainbow Six, but they don't. They seem to

carry on wanting to play the same childish

games that they used to play when they

were 10 years old, even though they're

probably 30 now. It's just really, really

weird. They also have this same kind of

look. You see these Nintendo fanboy

YouTubers on YouTube, they always have

this same look where they usually have a

beard and really big glasses and they look

really nerdy. I don't know, I just don't

get it. It just— the gameplay looks so

utterly boring. What do you do? You just

run about, you press buttons. There's

absolutely zero challenge to the game. Is

it even rewarding collecting wood and then

building stuff when it's not even

difficult to collect the wood in the first

place? So unfortunately, I'm going to have

to cut the review short today because I

can't really be bothered to do anything

else for this video. I would say in

conclusion do not buy this game because

you'll probably not enjoy it. And yeah,

I don't really want to waste £50 on this

piece of rubbish.
