not a bad place. Bangkok is more modern

I feel like if I start off with the eyes,

there's a higher chance I draw the nose

too long and it looks like a man. But if

I start off with the mouth, the mouth

always looks too big. I think maybe

starting off with the nose could be more

the eyes are too big and it looks not

realistic. It's really annoying. I want to

get good at sketching faces. That's my,

The food, probably definitely best in

Japan. I don't

really like Thai food. I'm not a fan of

it. The only Thai food I like is

basically just Chinese food that Thai

people think is Thai food when it's not.

There's basically nothing that is Thai

food that I've tried and liked. It's all

just weird. For example, they've got these

sausages which are like— they're like—

they look like balls. But it's like a

sausage, and I thought that would be

really tasty because I like meat. But then

you bite into it and it's like they've,

they've put flowers and some kind of

lemongrass or whatever pungent fragrant

herb in it, and it just overpowers the

meat. I don't like the flavors because

they like to put a lot of sugary syrupy

sauces and chili I'm not a fan of that

flavor combination.

The only time I like sweet food is when

it's a dessert or fruit or chocolate.

I don't like my meals to be sweet,

so I don't think the Thai palate really

matches my palate.

Korean food's not great either. The only

good Korean food is Korean barbecue, but

everything else, like bibimbap and

what's the other one, kimbap,

everything's just like rice and kimchi.

Or you go to a market and it's like raw

squid and fish, weird stuff.

Korean barbecue is good, but it's just

like grilled meat. How's that gonna be

bad?

I like kimchi and I like samgyeopsal, the

pork belly, and I like the little pickled

green leaf thing, but I don't like

anything else.

What else does Korean have? Oh, I like the

Korean pancake. What's it called?

Chijimi or something. Pajeon. It's like,

like a batter, and then you put leeks and

shrimp in it, and then you fry it and make

a pancake. That's quite nice.

I like Japanese food, like ramen.

Gudon, sushi is nice.

I just— I don't like seafood or weird

shellfish stuff or

spicy. I don't like spicy stuff. I'll

never understand why or how people enjoy

spicy food. It just hurts. How do you

enjoy the pain?

And the bacon and sandwiches are always

pretty bad in Asia because they think

bacon is the same as ham, but it's not.

It seems like only Britain uses the back

part of the pork of the pig to make bacon.

Basically every other country uses pork

belly to make bacon.

Yeah, the whole point, the ideology of

Thai food is they use all of the flavors

in perfect balance. So all 5 flavors like

sweetness, sour, salty,

savory,

bitter. They, they think that good food

means using all of the flavors all at

once. It's just weird.

I think certain foods, they need to be

tasting a certain way, not all the flavors

at the same time. So I'm not a fan

of Thai food. Pad Thai, I mean,

it's just like very vegetable stir-fry.

It's not special.

They really like this noodle dish. It's

like a blood soup noodle dish, so the soup

looks kind of brown-purple. It tastes

really weird as well. I tried it because

my girlfriend didn't tell me what it was,

and I tasted it. I was like, what is this?

It tastes, tastes like blood. And she

said, yeah, it's blood. They make a pig

pork blood broth. It is so gross.

I just do my own cooking. Get chicken

wings, sprinkle some salt

on it, put it in the air fryer, make it

crispy. Or I get, I get like a salmon,

pan fry it.

I just either air fry stuff or pan fry it,

sprinkle some salt, put some garlic and

herb powder. My poops

are still bad. Kind of

gave up trying to fix it. Have I ever

eaten pufferfish? Yeah, actually the last

time me and Chihiro went to a restaurant,

weeks before we got divorced, we went to a

fugu restaurant or pufferfish restaurant

and it was the worst meal I've ever had

and it was really expensive. It was like

$60 per person, 5-course meal of

pufferfish. Fish, and it was so bad.

I don't understand how Japanese people

think that's like a once-a-year delicacy.

it. So the first dish, they give you like

sashimi, and it's just like rubbery,

tasteless, chewy kind

of rubbery strands of the fish along with

thinly sliced soft pieces of the fish,

the sashimi, and then it's like mixed with

a pickled vegetable salad. And then they

bring like karaage puffer fish, so

deep-fried puffer fish, and it just tastes

like deep-fried chicken but without any of

the chicken flavor. It just tastes like

nothing. And then the next course was like

a soup, like nabe, with the puffer fish in

the soup. It just tastes like nothing.

There's no flavor. And the reason why

Japanese people love pufferfish is because

it doesn't have any fishy flavor. And I

was like, why would you want to eat fish

because it has no fishy flavor? That's the

whole point of eating fish, isn't it?

Well, just don't eat fish if you don't

want the fishy flavor. Like, have some

bread. This is so weird. The best thing

about this fish is it has no fish flavor.

Okay. Why are you eating it then? So eat

something else that's not a fish then.

You know, one thing I learned about Japan

my last trip was you can just go into a

market in like, not a big supermarket,

but like a cheap supermarket in a food

marketplace and just buy some whale bacon.

First time I've ever seen just whale bacon

on the shelf like that. I thought you had

to go to a specialist shop to get whale.

I didn't try it because it looked so

gross. It looked— I don't

know how to describe it. It was like very

red with blobs of fat on

it, and it was called whale bacon.

I tried whale before, but it was like— I

forgot now. It's like very thinly sliced

bits, and it just tastes like ham.

It's so weird Japanese people just have

whale bacon and that's normal

to them. I think it would taste like

pork because if you look back at the

evolutionary history of the whale, they

evolved from this 4-legged hooved animal

that kind of looks like a pig, so it would

make sense that it would taste like pork.

I'll refine it over the days, and then

maybe like 2 weeks later it'll look okay

again. So my haircutting process takes

about 10 days, I'd say. This is why

like 10 days to cut it.
