Which to buy iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Air？

Real talk, iPhone Air or iPhone 17 Pro?

So luckily I managed to try both of them,

and as someone who has definitely tried

both of them, it's very difficult to

choose which iPhone 17 you're gonna buy.

So the main difference is iPhone Air is

very slim and only has one camera, whereas

iPhone 17 Pro Max has 3 cameras and it's

more expensive as the Pro model.

The iPhone Air is $1,000 and the Pro Max

is about

something more expensive than that.

So the main difference is that the iPhone

Air is very slim, hence the name Air, and

the Pro Max is not as thin as the iPhone

Air.

It's heavier and it's thicker, but it's

got more cameras and it's got more power

and it's got more battery.

So it basically boils down to, do you want

a really thin phone or do you want a

really big phone with more cameras?

So what you want to do is decide for

yourself if if you would prefer the

sleeker version of the iPhone 17, which is

thinner, and that's why it's called the

iPhone Air.

Or do you want the Pro Max with the Pro

features and the ProMotion, although they

all have the ProMotion screen now, and you

get more cameras and you get 8x optical

zoom.

But with the iPhone Air, you only get one

camera.

It's called the Fusion Camera, 48MP, and

you only get a wide angle.

You only get one camera and it has a

standard lens and zoom lens, but it's not

really a zoom lens, it's more like a

digital crop.

So it's only just really one camera, and

you don't get the wide angle.

So if you want the wide angle and you want

the zoom lens, then you're going to have

to get the Pro Max.

And you also get a bigger screen with the

Pro Max.

But with the iPhone Air, it's slimmer and

it's thinner, so it's going to be lighter,

but it's going to have less battery.

So if you want more battery with the

iPhone Air, then you need to get the

magnetic iPhone MagSafe battery that only

works on the iPhone Air.

And you don't need that for iPhone Pro

Max, although you could get one, but you

don't really need one because it has a

bigger battery.

IPhone Air.

So when it comes to the main differences

between the iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17

Pro Max, they're basically the same but

also kind of different.

So the same in the way that they both came

out this year and they're both very

expensive.

And iPhone Air has 3,000 nits of

brightness just like the Pro Max has, and

they both have ProMotion, so you have

120Hz refresh rate on the screen, and they

both have the N1 chip— I mean, the A19

chip with the N1 modem thingy.

But I'm not going to let the screen size

dictate which one I buy because they both

have screen size that is pretty big.

And iPhone Air has small battery, but

because it has better efficiency,

um, it doesn't really make a huge

difference.

Obviously you're going to get a smaller

battery with the iPhone Air because it's

slimmer and thinner.

That's why it's called the iPhone Air.

And there's also a new camera feature that

lets you take a video whilst also filming

your face at the same time as making the

video.

So whilst you make the video, it can also

film your face making the video at the

same time.

And both these models can do this.

It's a really cool trick that'll be so

useful, and everyone's going to use it all

the time.

But the main differences come with the

camera.

So the iPhone Air only has a single fusion

camera, and the iPhone Pro Max 17 has 3 of

these cameras.

So you either want 1 camera or you want 3

cameras.

But something that's really odd is that

the Air doesn't support cinematic video.

The front cameras are literally the same,

but the iPhone 17 Pro Max with the vanilla

bit supports the ProMotion video

thingamajig.

But I have to say, my main shooting is

with the primary camera.

I really think I'm just fine with the

single camera back there.

I just don't really take macro or

telephoto photos very much.

I take them, but just not that many.

So unfortunately, I didn't get to try out

the new phones as much as I would have

liked to, but they are claiming all-day

battery life.

But I couldn't test it out all day because

they told me to go home, so I only tried

it out for 10 minutes and then I made a

review as if I've actually used it for a

whole day.

But for me personally, I would probably go

with the iPhone Air just because it's new

and interesting and looks cool and it's

thinner.

Although I might go for the Pro Max

because you've got the zoom and the orange

color is kind of interesting, kind of

looks like a copper bronze.

But maybe I'll go for the iPhone Air

because it's thin.

Or maybe I'll just get both because I've

got so much money to waste on thousands of

pounds of phone.

And it's got a powerful A19 chip, so

powerful.

But I don't really do anything on my phone

apart from watch YouTube and check email.

It's not like I'm doing any exporting or

heavy gaming.

Why do heavy gaming on my phone when I've

got my Switch too?

Over there, my Switch 2.

And so for those reasons, I can't really

recommend the iPhone Air or the iPhone Pro

Max.
