Drawing people I HATE from memory

Hello and welcome back to another drawing

video. So in today's video, I'm going to

be drawing a few people from my past that

I really, really hated. So first of all,

we have this Scottish guy who used to be

my boss when I was about 17. When I was

17, I used to work at this pub in a

kitchen washing dishes, and I used to

really like this job at first because it

was, it was really easy. I just went into

the kitchen and Started washing dishes,

and I didn't really have to speak to

anyone, didn't have to interact with any

customers. It was great. My first boss

there was this really nice old lady, and

she used to make me sausage sandwiches for

lunch. Unfortunately, because she was old,

she had to retire, and then this new guy

came in, this Scottish guy, and let's just

say he wasn't a very nice person. He had a

really vulgar mouth, and he was constantly

swearing and being verbally abusive

towards me. Just from the way he spoke,

you could easily tell he was very

low-class and came from a poor background,

and he was very short-tempered and he

would get angry over very tiny little

things all the time. I ended up quitting

the job because I just couldn't stand

working with him. I actually started to— I

started to get scared of going to work

because of his attitude and the way he

treated me. He kept complaining about how

slow I was working, and he kept telling me

that I needed to clean faster, even though

there was hardly anything to clean because

there weren't many customers during the

day. I never worked during dinner time

when it was really busy, so there was

never loads and loads of dishes that had

to be cleaned all day long. So I never

really understood why he kept complaining

about me being too slow. It's not as if it

was really, really busy all the time.

When there were no dishes to clean, I

didn't really have anything else to do,

so I would just stand there waiting until

more dishes came in that had to be

cleaned. I think he used to get angry

seeing me standing around doing nothing,

and he would say things like, I can't

effing pay you to stand around doing

nothing all day, Daniel. Sometimes I

wouldn't clean surfaces 100% thoroughly,

and then he would check and then He would

get really angry and start swearing at me

over a few breadcrumbs that I missed. One

time he started boiling some potatoes in a

pot in the kitchen, and then he just

walked out, and then he didn't come back.

And the boiling water started to get

really hot, and it started to bubble and

spill over out of the pot. And then he

came back into the kitchen, and he went

absolutely mental. He went ballistic,

started shouting at me. He started

screaming and swearing and yelling at me

because I wasn't keeping an eye on his

boiling potatoes. He didn't even ask me to

keep an eye on it. He didn't even tell me.

He was boiling anything. He didn't even

say he was going to pop out of the kitchen

and then come back later. Now that I think

about it, it's kind of funny. His face

went completely red. I thought he was

going to have a mental breakdown. I just

couldn't believe a grown man could get so

angry over some potatoes in a pot. And

then there was this one day when I went

into work in the morning and there was

this young guy standing at the sink

washing the dishes, doing my job. I was so

confused about the whole situation. I

thought to myself, did he fire me and then

replace me without telling me? So I went

into the kitchen and I said hello to this

new guy who I didn't even know, and I just

stood next to him because I didn't have

any work to do because he was doing my job

for me. So what else was I supposed to do?

And then the bloody Scottish guy comes in,

and then he starts shouting and screaming

and swearing at me because I wasn't doing

anything. It's not my fault you got some

random guy to do my job for me so I have

nothing to do. Obviously, I'm just going

to be standing here doing nothing if you

get someone else to do my job. Then he

finally explains why he got this new guy

to do my job. It's because he wanted me to

go over to his house and then clean his

house. So I had to go over to his house,

which was just down the street, because

that's where the previous owners, the

previous managers of the place used to

live. And now he's the new manager, he had

to move into that house as well. And then

I had to scrub the floors and wipe

everything down. I felt kind of insulted

because I'm pretty sure cleaning your

house wasn't part of my job description.

I felt like he was just using me as his

personal maid or personal cleaner.

Anyway, I tried my best to carry on

working there because it was a decent job.

It was easy, the pay wasn't too bad, and

it was nearby to my house. I tried my best

to clean faster and work faster and try

not to make any mistakes. But it seemed

like no matter how hard I tried to do a

good job, he always found something to

complain about and to start swearing at me

about. It was just kind of annoying that

he was calling me lazy and slow when he

was also kind of lazy and wasn't exactly

hardworking. We had hotel rooms at the pub

because we had a restaurant and a bar and

it also had hotel rooms. And he was

sleeping in one of the hotel rooms because

he hadn't finished moving into his new

house. And I used to have to clean the

hotel rooms and change the bedsheets. And

sometimes when I walked past his room, he

would have the door open and I could see

him just lying there on the bed playing

Xbox on the TV. It was just kind of

annoying that he was constantly

complaining about me being too slow and

not working properly whilst he's boiling

potatoes and then forgetting and then

walking out the kitchen and lying around

on his bed playing Halo. Anyway, I

couldn't work there anymore because he was

just driving me crazy. And thankfully my

dad managed to get me a job at the company

he worked at. As an office junior. So I

went into work the next day and I told the

Scottish guy that I wanted to quit and I

got a new job in an office, and guess what

he said? He said, good, you're the worst

kitchen porter I've ever had. And then he

also said, oh, you're going to be working

in an office now? I don't think you'll be

very good at that since you have very bad

communication skills. And then he made me

clean the deep fat fryer. I just couldn't

believe that a grown adult man who was

probably in his 50s could be so immature.

The normal thing to say would have been,

good luck on your new job, hope everything

goes well. But instead, this 50-year-old

grown man decides to act like a child and

insult me. Okay, so next on my

list of people I hate is the Nepalese guy.

I used to work with him in 2016 until

2017 when I had a job in a petrol station.

Station, and he was easily one of the most

irritating people that I've ever had to

work with. So back when I was about 26 or

27, I used to work night shifts at the

petrol station up the road from my house,

and I had 2 co-workers. One guy from

Bangladesh who I really liked, he was fun

and a nice person to work with. And then

there was the Nepalese guy who was just

the complete opposite of fun. He was like

one of those goody-two-shoes, takes the

job way too seriously, has to do

everything 100% properly kind of people.

And when I first started working with him,

I thought he was okay. He wasn't too

annoying, and because I was new at the

job, it made sense that he was telling me

what to do and showing me how to do

things. But as I started to get

comfortable with the job, and as I got

more confident with what I had to do and

what I was doing there, I started to find

different ways of doing the work I had to

do. I started to find my own way of doing

things that I thought made more sense and

made things easier. For example, there was

a walk-in freezer and I had to prepare the

morning breakfasts. And to prepare the

breakfast, you had to go into the walk-in

freezer, take down the boxes of food,

open the boxes, take the frozen food out,

close the box, and then stack the boxes

back up. So I had this brilliant idea of

buying a very, very sharp pointy knife,

and I brought this into work, and I would

just cut a hole into the side of the boxes

that were stacked up, and I would just

leave a little flap so I could put my hand

in and then pull out the food from inside

of the box without having to open the

boxes and take them down and then close

them and then stack them back up. And I

thought this was a really good idea

because basically I managed to turn a

5-step process into just a one-step

process. But the stupid Nepalese guy

started complaining about it. He said,

Daniel, can you please not cut holes into

the side of the boxes, otherwise they'll

collapse. What is he talking about? If you

have a stack of boxes and then you cut a

square hole into the sides, they're not

going to collapse. The strength of the

boxes that keeps them standing up is in

the corners, not the sides. He doesn't

even understand the structural integrity

of a box. And he's telling me what to do.

If what he's saying was true, then you'd

have apartment complexes collapsing

because they have windows in the side.

Not once did I ever see the stack of boxes

in the walk-in freezer collapse because I

cut holes into the sides of them. Anyway,

so we had this argument about the boxes,

and basically I told him to stop telling

me what to do because you're not my boss,

and I know how to do my job because I've

been working here for months now. And I

told him to complain to the manager if you

don't like how I do things. And there were

just loads of other examples where he

would just complain about how I did

things, saying that I wasn't doing things

properly or his way. And one of my jobs

was I had to check the expiration dates of

the food in the store. And sometimes I

would miss, you know, I'd miss a loaf of

bread, for example. And sometimes he would

check to see if I did the job properly.

And then he would find out that I missed a

loaf of bread and then he would start

complaining about it, saying, Daniel, do I

have to teach you how to check the bread

again? It's kind of funny because in the

beginning we used to get on not too badly

and we used to talk and chitchat during

breaks or when there wasn't really

anything to do. But then after a few

months, after we had arguments here and

there and I got irritated with him telling

me what to do and how to do things, we

just completely stopped talking to each

other. Sometimes when there were no

customers and we didn't have anything to

do, we would just stand there behind the

cash register in complete silence. And our

boss used to watch us on the surveillance

cameras, and then she asked us, how come

you two don't talk to each other? I see

you on the cameras just standing there in

silence. And I had to tell her that we

don't really get on very well. And it was

just so awkward having to work every night

being stuck with this guy that you really

don't like for 8 hours straight. One time

some Irish guys came into the shop and

they were shouting at me, saying

something. I didn't really quite

understand what they were saying because

they had such a thick accent. And it turns

out they wanted petrol, but they didn't

have enough money to pay for it, and they

were asking me if they could just have

some petrol. And apparently I said yes.

They were very loud and intimidating, and

I just wanted them to go away, so I just

let them take some petrol. And then the

Nepalese guy came back from his break,

and he found out what happened, and then

he started shouting and swearing at me,

saying that you can't just give away free

petrol. Another irritating thing he used

to do was he used to criticize my English.

For example, he would complain about my

handwriting not being correct. He would

be really nitpicky and say my Y's looks

like a V, complaining about my

handwriting. There was one time when a

customer left his card and he walked away

and I had to call him back and I said to

the customer, wait, come back, you forgot

your card. And then the Nepalese guy

complained saying that I should have said

excuse me, not wait, come back. It's just

so irritating when a foreigner is

criticizing my English when I'm a native

speaker. I think I know how to speak my

language, thank you very much. Anyway, I

could go on for hours and hours and hours

about every irritating thing this guy did

and said to me, but I'm trying to keep

this video not too long, so I'll, I'll end

it there. Okay, moving on to the last

person in this video. This person is

probably the most irritating and annoying

person I have ever met in my entire life.

And that person is the Hong Kong guy.

Now, I could easily make a 2-hour video

explaining everything that happened with

this person and all the irritating things

about him, but I'm trying to keep this

video under 15 minutes, so I'm going to

tell you the short version of the story.

Okay, let's start at the beginning. It was

2018, around summer in Japan.

Me and my ex-wife were at the immigration

center waiting to get my spouse visa, and

then this Asian guy approaches us and says

hello. He says he knows me from YouTube

and he watches my videos. We had a short

conversation where he told me a bunch of

useless information about himself that I

forgot straight away, and he asked me if I

could add him on Facebook. At the time, I

didn't think it would be a bad idea, but

now looking back in hindsight, I wish I

told him to fuck off. But since I'm a nice

guy, I said sure, why not, and I added him

as a friend on Facebook. The next day he

started messaging me, you know, trying to

strike up conversations. I wasn't really

interested because I'm not really

interested in chatting to guys, and he

kept inviting me to hang out. He was

really insistent. Nearly every week he

would try to invite me to hang out with

him. I didn't really reply to him much,

and I didn't really ask him any questions.

I didn't accept his invitations to hang

out. I thought he would just get the

message that I'm not really interested in

talking to him. And then he would stop

bothering me. And then after a while, he

did start to stop messaging me, and then I

went back to England because, you know,

my dad passed away. And then last year, I

decided to get back together with my

ex-wife, and I moved back to Japan. And

then at some point around September, he

started messaging me again, and he started

trying to invite me to hang out again with

him. And at the time, I was kind of

struggling to come up with video ideas,

and I thought maybe people would be

interested in seeing me have a guy friend

and hang out with guys. So after 2 years

of him constantly trying to hang out with

me, I finally said yes and accepted his

invitation to go for dinner. And we met at

this restaurant, and for some reason he

decided to bring along this random

Japanese woman that he met on Tinder. I

didn't really mind too much because her

face reminded me of one of my ex-Japanese

girlfriends. Anyway, I made a video about

the whole experience and People enjoyed it

and there was positive feedback and I got

decent views for the video. So I thought

to myself, hmm, that went pretty well. It

wasn't a bad experience actually. Let's do

more of that. So me and the Hong Kong guy

met up several more times and we made

several videos together. He helped me get

rid of my lovedoll. We made a video

outside of a love hotel as well, and I

also helped him make a few videos for his

channel. That I encouraged him to make.

The reason why I encouraged him to start

his own YouTube channel was because I

thought it might be fun to have, you know,

a YouTube friend that I could make videos

with. And that kind of backfired in my

face because he ended up using that

YouTube channel to make not one, not two,

but a total of 11 separate videos of

him and my ex-wife. And in these videos,

they're just constantly complaining about

me and making fun of me and just

badmouthing me. He puts my channel name in

every single video so my viewers find the

videos and give him views. I just find it

so insulting that he's using the channel I

helped him grow and I helped promote, and

I, I told my viewers to go over and

subscribe to him and support him, and now

he's using his channel that no one would

even know about if I didn't promote it.

He's using his channel to smear my name

with my vindictive ex-wife. Thank you very

much. And the reason why he's doing this

is because I upset him and hurt his

fee-fees because I blocked him. And the

reason why I blocked him in the first

place was because after hanging out with

him several times, I realized that I

didn't find him interesting in any way.

We had nothing in common. I didn't click

with him, and I didn't want to be friends

with him. And I thought if I just stopped

replying to him, then he would get the

message that I'm not interested in talking

to him or hanging out anymore. And he

would just disappear. But no, instead he

starts messaging my ex-wife and trying to

invite us out to dinner. And then even

when I said, no, I'm not interested in

going to dinner with you and my ex-wife,

he goes and meets up with my ex-wife

anyway, just the two of them, behind my

back whilst we're having an argument. And

then they proceed to make God knows how

many videos. They probably have 20 videos

made from the 4-hour dinner session or

whatever. You know, I don't mind if he

just made 1 or 2 videos. My experience

meeting Daniel from Hiding in My Room, or

Why Daniel's a Weirdo. You know, maybe 1

or 2, maybe 3 at most. But he's made 11

now, and he has more to come, more that

he's editing and translating. I just

think it's kind of sad and pathetic to

make so many videos about me and then

putting my channel name into every single

video title just to make sure you get

views. I mean, how How pathetic can you

be? The funny thing is he actually thinks

he's friends with my ex-wife when I'm

pretty sure, 100% sure, that my ex-wife is

only using him because he has a YouTube

channel and she's too lazy to find out how

to upload and film and edit her own

videos. If he didn't have a YouTube

channel, then there's no way my ex-wife

would have any interest in meeting up with

him. The whole experience has just been a

bit of a nightmare for me. I wish I never

met him in the first place. I wish I never

Added him on Facebook, and I just wish I

never encouraged him to make a YouTube

channel. I was actually so upset about the

whole Hong Kong guy situation that

happened last year before Christmas. I

actually wanted to leave my ex-wife during

that situation, and the only reason I

ended up going back to her place and

coming back to England together for

Christmas was because my mum and my sister

were excited to see us and they wanted us

to get back together so we could spend

Christmas together. But if I could go back

in time, I probably would not have gone

back to my ex-wife's place and I would

have just left Japan on my own. I should

have gone back to England by myself for

Christmas instead of— instead of getting

back together and then going back to Japan

and then eventually splitting up anyway.

Anyway, I don't really want to go on and

on about it too much. It's all in the past

now. Thankfully, that whole mess of a

marriage is over and done with. And I hope

you enjoyed this video, unless you're one

video. Then I hope you really, really did

not enjoy this video. And if you're one of

the people that I mentioned in this video,

then my final message to you is, I really

don't like you. Go away.
