Why Apple is better than Android

Hello and welcome to today's video. Today

I want to talk about Apple and why I think

Apple is better than all of the other tech

companies and why Apple products are my

favorite products out of all of the

products. And here in front of me today,

I have my 2 favorite, most favorite tech

products that I own. And I own quite a lot

of tech. You might not know this, but I,

I own a lot of gadgets. In, in my

apartment have lots of different types of

gadgets, and out of all of them, these are

my favorite 2: the iPhone X and the iPad

Pro 11-inch 2018 model.

Okay, so my history with Apple began quite

a long time ago in 2011. It took me quite

a long time until I actually decided to

buy myself a smartphone. I wasn't really

convinced on the idea of smartphones when

they were first released. I thought,

what's the point of having a smartphone?

They just like really small, hard to use,

not very good computers? Why don't I just

use my laptop or my computer? Why would I

want a very, very small computer that's

not very good? That's what I first thought

of smartphones. That was back in 2008 or

'09 or '10. And then it wasn't

until 2011 when I was in Japan on a

working holiday visa and I noticed

everyone had iPhone 4s. I think iPhone

4 only just came out around then. And they

looked very cool. I thought to myself,

wow, those look cool, I want one. And I

got myself a job in Japan, and I finally

decided to spend my first paycheck on an

Apple iPhone 4. And that was my first ever

smartphone. I'm not sure what I did with

it. I used it for a couple years. I think

I sold it on eBay for about £50. And I

loved it. It was the first time I had ever

used a smartphone. And I was just blown

away with it. It felt so good to use. The

apps were cool. The games that you could

play on it were great. I remember playing

Angry Birds for hours and hours and hours.

I actually got my second girlfriend thanks

to Angry Birds. That was because we were

playing Angry Birds together, and then she

fell asleep on top of me, and then I fell

asleep, and then we woke up in the morning

and I just kissed her on the face. That

was how we got together. Anyway, this

isn't about ex-girlfriends. I have a whole

other channel on YouTube where I talk

about ex-girlfriends. This is about tech

and Apple. So yeah, that was the first

time I had a smartphone. That was the

iPhone 4, and I didn't really get another

iPhone until the iPhone X. Now you might

be asking yourself, you might be

wondering, Daniel, if you love Apple so

much, how come you never had an iPhone

between iPhone 4 and iPhone X? And let me

explain. Okay, so the reason why I kind of

abandoned Apple after iPhone 4 and went to

Android was because after I became hooked

on smartphones, I wanted more. And I

heard a lot about Android. I saw my

friend's Android. I think he had a Samsung

Note or some kind of Samsung Android

phone, G5 or something. And it looks

really cool because you had all these

widgets and you could customize it. You

could change the icons, the app icons on

it. And then I looked at my iPhone 4 and I

couldn't do any of those things, and I

just felt insanely jealous. So I got rid

of my iPhone and I switched to Android.

And for about 5 years, I think, I used

Android. And I've had a lot of Android

phones. It's kind of difficult, difficult

to remember. I had a Samsung Note 2,

Samsung S5 and then an S6.

I had an HTC 10, an LG G5.

I even had that really, really big Samsung

novelty phone. What was it called? The

Samsung Galaxy Mega, which was this huge 6

or 7-inch screen big phone, a lot bigger

than all of the other phones at the time.

And you know, I quite enjoyed customizing

my phone. I enjoyed putting widgets,

Android widgets, and changing the

launchers and changing the fonts and the

the app icons and making it look

personalized, making it look cool. And I

thought to myself, why would I ever want

to go back to iPhones when I could do all

these cool things on my Android phone?

And it's only been recently that I

realized, after I've grown up a bit,

after I've matured a bit, I've only just

recently realized that I don't care about

all of that stuff anymore. You know,

widgets, Customize— I can't say

that word. I realized I don't care about

widgets. I don't care about being able to

customize my phone or changing— don't care

about being able to change the fonts or

the app icons or the little, little things

here and there on the phone. As long as

the phone does what I want it to do and it

looks nice and it works well, I don't

really care about all that fluff. And as

I've gotten older, I've just realized that

I prefer how fluid and how nice-looking

things on Apple devices look. Sure,

they're not as customizable as Android.

You can't do as many things as you can on

an Android phone. But the thing I love

about Apple products is it just looks

good. I mean, look how pretty the design

is. Most Android phones don't look this

good. Most Android phones don't feel this

good to use. When I use my iPhone X,

It just feels good, you know. I'm swiping

and everything looks nice, everything's

organized, and it just feels like

a premium device. Yeah, you're going to

pay more money than you'd pay for an

equivalent Android phone. That's, that's,

um, something you just have to accept.

You're gonna have to pay more for an Apple

device, but I think it's worth it because

what you get for that money is you get a

really nice product And, and, um,

I just love how it feels in your hand.

When I pick this up, it feels good. When I

pick up my iPad, it feels good. I like

using it. I look forward to using it.

I touch it and I feel excited. I can't say

the same for Android or Windows or any

other kind of device. Okay, yeah,

technically on an Android or Windows

device you can do more There's more

capabilities on it, there's more

functionality on it. You can do a wider

array of things on those devices compared

to an Apple device. But you have to kind

of compare it to a penknife, you know, a

penknife. It has lots of different knives

built into it, has a corkscrew opener,

has a screwdriver, has a bottle opener,

lots of different sizes of knives, but it

doesn't feel good to use. Hurts my

fingernails when I try and pull out each

of the blades. And I don't feel like it's

a quality product. I feel like an Apple

product isn't a penknife like an Android

might be. It's more of, you know, a

premium knife that feels good in your

hand, that's razor sharp. Okay, so an

Apple device has less functionality than

an Android or a Windows device has. It can

do less things, but what it can do, it

does 100 times better than an Android or

Windows device does. It feels better,

it's smoother, it runs faster, it just

works. When I think of Apple, 3 words

come to mind: it just works. Well,

actually 4 words: it just works well.

Well, 5 words: it just works really well.

And I can't say the same for Android.

Yeah, everything works fine on an Android

phone, but it, it just doesn't feel as

premium, and I'm not sure why. And I don't

think they'll ever be able to catch up to

that premium feel, that that Apple has

managed to achieve. For example, when it

comes to tablets, everyone agrees that if

you just want a cheap crappy tablet that

has no bells and whistles, then you just

get a cheap Android tablet. But if you

want a really good tablet that feels good,

looks good, and it's going to last you for

a long time, you get an Apple iPad. Apple

iPads are the best tablets in the world.

I've used lots of different tablets—

Surface Pro, I've used couple Android

tablets, but I always come back to the

iPad because it's just the best. Okay,

it's a bit more expensive, it's not as

functional, can't do as many things as you

can compared to an Android or Windows

tablet, but it's still better. It's kind

of funny because even though my Android

phone, my Samsung S10 Plus, which I'm

using to film this video on, even though

that this phone can do so much more For

some reason, I still prefer using my

iPhone X. It just feels better in my hand.

It feels better— the operating system

feels better to use, and I find myself

picking up the iPhone X way more than I do

find myself picking up the Samsung S10

Plus, and I'm not sure why that is. I feel

like Apple put a lot of effort and thought

into creating good products, and it really

shows because every time I've used an

Apple product, I came off from that

experience feeling good, and I felt like I

wanted to buy that product. I didn't use

their products— I've never used one of

their products and felt, wow, this, this

isn't a good product, this feels janky and

sloppy. It always felt good. What I'm

trying to say is every time I've touched

or used an Apple product, I've always

come— came away from it with positive and

good feelings, and I felt like I used

something that I wanted to use. But I

can't really say the same for Microsoft or

Android. For example, the Surface Pro 6

that I recently bought, I was so

disappointed with that. That was just such

a terrible product. Just touching it and

using it felt bad. I didn't come away

from using that product with positive,

positive feelings or emotions or

experiences. It just felt like a bad

product, and I've never felt that way with

Apple. Um, I think that's all I want to

say. You can call me an Apple fanboy and

all that, I don't really care. I know

that's supposed to be some kind of insult—

oh, he's an Apple fanboy. I don't see why

that's an insult. Yeah, I like good

products that are made well, designed

well, that feel good to use. Why, why is

it an insult that I'm a fan of a company

that makes good products. That makes no

sense to me, and I'm going to continue

using Apple products. I'll probably buy

the iPhone 11. That looks very interesting

to me. And when it comes down to the

whole, oh, Apple is more expensive thing,

well, yeah, it's more expensive, but in

life, that's just kind of what you have to

expect. If you want a good product,

premium product, you're going to have to

spend more money. In this world we live

in, the more you pay, the better you get.

You, you get what you pay for, basically.

And what you get when you pay for Apple

products is very good products.
