DO NOT BUY THE IPHONE 11 PRO

Hello and welcome to this video about the

iPhone 11 Pro. I've been using it for

about a week now, and I wanted to make a

video talking about my experiences with it

and why you shouldn't buy one.

So here in front of me I have the previous

iPhone X and the iPhone 11 Pro,

and as you can see, there aren't really

many differences. Well, the main

difference is The placement of the Apple

logo is in the center on the iPhone 11

Pro, and it's slightly higher on the

iPhone X. Also, it says iPhone on the

iPhone X, but on the iPhone 11, it does

not say iPhone anywhere.

Also, there's an extra camera on the

iPhone 11 Pro. On the sides,

the buttons on the 11 Pro are slightly

lower. Than the buttons on the iPhone X.

From the front,

from the front, the phones look almost

identical, but when you hold them in your

hand, it's fairly obvious that the iPhone

11 Pro is a tiny bit heavier. It's also a

tiny bit thicker, although not by much.

As someone who's used the iPhone X for

over a year now and the iPhone 11 Pro for

about a week now, I can easily say there's

hardly any difference between the 2

phones. When you're using the phones,

there's absolutely no difference with

speed and loading times. The only main

difference between these phones is the

wide-angle camera, and if you don't care

about the wide-angle camera, then then

there's really, really no point in going

from an iPhone X to an iPhone 11. They're

basically the same phone. I was really

happy to find out that Apple were finally

putting a wide-angle lens onto the latest

iPhone. I really love wide-angle lenses.

I'm using one now on my Samsung S10. It's

just great for making videos and vlogging,

and the The first smartphone that I bought

that had a wide-angle lens was the LG

G5, which I bought in 2016. And at

the time, this was one of the only major

flagship phones that had a wide-angle

lens. All the other big companies weren't

even doing wide-angle yet. And I was just

wondering, when are Samsung and Apple

going to put wide-angle lenses on their

flagship phones? They finally did about 2

years a few years later, but this was one

of my favorite phones because of the wide

angle, and I basically built most of my

YouTube channel by using the— these

cameras on this phone. I ended up

getting a new phone to replace it because

it was just getting too old. It was really

slow, it kept crashing, apps took forever

to load, so I decided to replace it with a

A new phone? What am I talking about?

Oh, so my point was the only reason to get

the iPhone 11 Pro is either

you have a really old iPhone and you just

want the newest one, or number 2, you

really, really, really want a wide-angle

lens. And don't get me wrong, the

wide-angle lens is very nice. Look.

Very wide, very good. But is it that good?

Is it worth $1,200 just

to get a wide-angle lens? Why don't you

just spend $400 and get a GoPro? It's

smaller, it has better stabilization,

and it even goes wider than the wide angle

on the iPhone 11. Why spend over $1,000

when you could buy 3 GoPros for that

price. I would prefer to use the GoPro

for wide-angle video footage instead of

the iPhone, mainly because it's just— it's

small. It's just very small. People don't

really notice that you're filming them

secretly. And this leads me on to my main

problem with making videos on the iPhone

11. Now, I talked about this in my iPhone

X video about how the audio quality sounds

bad when you're taking a video like this

and you want to talk like I'm doing now.

The problem was the microphone is on the

other side here. Apple are very stupid

when it comes to microphone placements.

They put it here or they put it here

instead of putting it on the top like

Android phones do. They decided to put

them here. So when you're filming

like this and you're talking, your voice

isn't going to sound very clear because

the microphone's on the other side. That

was my main complaint for the iPhone X

last year. It seems as though Apple was

listening to me because they fixed that

problem. And when you make a video on the

iPhone 11 Pro, it uses this microphone and

this microphone at the same time. So it

captures audio from behind and in front of

what you're filming. And that's great,

problem solved, you might think. No,

because they stupidly put the microphone

here. So when I'm filming a video like

this and I'm talking like I'm talking now,

sometimes when I pronounce certain letters

like P or T, wind blows out

of my lips and makes this horrible

wind-blowing sound because the wind

is going directly into the microphone. If

the microphone was on top like my Samsung

S10 is, which I'm using now, you don't

have that problem because the microphone

is facing away from where the wind is

coming out of your mouth unless you talk

directly into it like this.

So what I've realized is when I make

videos on my iPhone 11 Pro, every time I

say P or T or some other harsh letter,

all you can hear is this wind blowing

sound, and it's, it's really frustrating,

and it kind of ruins the video a little

bit. Makes it difficult to— well, it just

makes it hard on the viewer's ears. You

don't really want to be hearing that wind

blowing sound when you're watching

someone's video. I don't know why Apple

are so stubborn and they keep insisting on

putting the microphone here and here

instead of on the top. I think it would be

so much better if it was on the top. That

way it captures sound coming from all

directions, front and back, and it doesn't

pick up the wind blowing sounds coming

from your lips because it's not facing

towards your face. It's such a good idea.

I don't understand why Apple doesn't just

put the microphone here as well. So for

that reason, I think I'm actually going to

stop making videos on my iPhone 11 Pro,

which is a shame because the cameras are

very good and nice to use. I might

actually just go back to using my GoPro

because it's just easy as a whole. The

audio sounds better. Again, on the GoPro,

the microphone's on the top. So when I'm

holding it like this and I say P, you

don't get that wind blowing sound because

the microphone's on top, not facing

towards your lips. Why doesn't Apple do

this? I don't know. So now that I think

about it, I kind of feel like I've wasted

$1,000. I spent $1,300

for the 256GB version. I feel like I've

wasted $1,300 on

buying a phone that basically does what

the GoPro does already, but slightly worse

when it comes to audio. And the GoPro is a

little bit wider on wide mode, and it's

way more wide on super wide mode.

So the GoPro is better in every way

compared to the iPhone 11 Pro's cameras.

Why spend over £1,000 when you can just

get a cheap little GoPro that does

everything better? Well, if you're lazy

and you don't like transferring files over

to your phone for editing, then maybe

that's one reason, but it doesn't really

take that long just to either use the

GoPro app and then transfer files over

Bluetooth, or get some kind of card reader

and then just copy and paste the files

onto your phone.

It's just so frustrating because I feel

like Apple was so close to making The

perfect vlogging phone. But they blew it.

Again. I just don't understand. They must

have really clever people, intelligent

people working there, but they make these

stupid little mistakes like putting the

microphone here so it picks up all of your

Ps and wind blowing sounds coming out of

your lips. I don't understand why they

didn't think of that. There must have been

at least one person at Apple who tested

the phone and then tried making a video

like this. And then said

the letter P and then realized, oh, it's

picking up all the wind sounds. So what I

have to do when I'm making a video on the

iPhone 11 is I have to make sure that my

lips aren't facing towards this area when

I say P or T. I try and look away, or I

try and distance myself a bit from the

phone. It's just so frustrating that you

have one of the most top-end expensive

premium phones and then they can't even

get the placement of the microphone in

a good place. They put it in a stupid

place again and again and again. So in

conclusion, if you want the wide-angle

lens, if you want the iPhone 11 Pro just

for the wide-angle lens, then just get a

GoPro. So much cheaper, so much better.

If you don't want the wide-angle lens,

then I don't even know why you want the 11

Pro. Just stick with your current iPhone.

There's absolutely no difference. I don't

notice any difference between the iPhone X

and the 11 when it comes to speed or

anything else. Sure, there's a few other

features, but they're so— they're so

minimal and insignificant that I don't

really care about them.
